We have an app that shows what should be delivered that day. It's been three days and still one bill and two letters have not been delivered. This happens on a regular basis. I don't know how this happens but certainly the delivery person is not doing their job. Also, today we found a letter addressed to someone in Glen Ellyn. It was clearly dropped and just ignored. This service is unacceptable. This is the third time we have posted here. Does the USPS really care? I don't think so, but the missing mail is important and hopefully it will show up. This is a difficult Post Office to work with and they refuse to deliver my mail. The Post Master will not return my calls. When I pickup my mail I often have other peoples mail. The St. Charles Illinois post office is poorly operated. You can try to contact your local Congressman and they might be able to provide you with some help. read more

Why bother rating a post office location when we all know it's about as fun as going to the DMV? I know it's not worth it and yet here I go. Let's face it, shipping and delivering mail isn't fun. It's not a hobby or passion of anyone that I know of. At any rate, the worst part of going to the post office is having to deal with the postal workers. I swear, it must be that the only criteria to work there is to be the laziest, rudest and most worthless person on the planet. And not just that, the ones working there who are the most petty and rude of them all are the ones who move up to management. We get it, you hate your job. I even agree that working at the post office has to be one of the worst jobs, but that's exactly why I never bothered to work at the post office. Take some personal responsibility for your life choices and stop taking it out on all the people that are stuck coming in because they have to, not because they want to. The only reason I'm bothering to review this location is in the year and a half I've lived in this area, the people at this location seem to be the best at being the worst. I only go to this location when I don't have a choice, or apparently when it's been a while and I want to remember what it's like when people are this rude to you. I'm not rude to them first nor am I rude to them even after they start being rude, so it's not like there's a reason for it. I really hope that in my life I get to watch USPS shut down for forever. They mostly exist to deliver junk mail and the occasional package you actually want/need. When was the last time you got a letter you wanted? Exactly, you got it in your email or as a text. I really hope Amazon starts offering shipping for letters, certified mail, etc. without the need to talk to postal workers and to put this worthless service down once and for all. Sometimes I just don't get the post office. I came here today to send something out after a lunch meeting. I'll admit the facility is SUPER clean, and I had expected the staff to be nice and knowledgeable. So, I brought in my OWN envelope package (which was close to being flat as possible) and I needed to send it cheapest way possible with delivery confirmation. The (Indian) lady kept saying Priority Mail (which was close to $5). I told her, no, I want it sent cheapest way possible (standard shipping... which came out to $1.56) but needed delivery confirmation. So then she said she couldn't I couldn't buy DELIVERY CONFIRMATION with standard shipping. And if I wanted delivery confirmation, I had to buy THEIR packaging. I declined, but then she asked if I wanted SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION right after. Um, okay. As if I don't already have stressful events going on in my life, the post office need not add to it! read more

Extremely poor service. This post office often does not deliver mail to the office I work in for days at a time. When I called concerned that the mail had not been delivered, again, the gentleman who answered the phone was rude. He put me on hold while he said he looked for the mail and when he returned to the call he stated that the mail was not there so he did not know where it was. I told him this is not the first time this had happened and he said then you should report it. I explained that I did and he brushed my issue off. Where is the mail for my office? If it is not in the post office building and not at my office, then where is it? It is not possible there is no mail for over three days. read more

There is a gentleman who works at the desk at the post office and he makes everyone smile. Even during the very busy time of the Christmas holidays, he remains so very polite and with a wonderful sense of humor. Although this post office is closer to our house, I prefer to use the one in Batavia, which is often less crowded. Every time I use the Oak Street post office, it's packed with people trying to mail packages or buy stamps, most of whom are completely oblivious to the way the US mail system works, as they seem baffled by the entire process. In other words, prepare to wait quite awhile as these folks work out how to mail a package. The staff are not terribly friendly at this location, though come to think of it, I don't believe I've come across a friendly postal worker in many years. I am a bit surprised at the staff's inability to maintain order at this facility. Case in point: on my last visit, there were two parents who allowed their obnoxious children to climb - yes, climb - all over the counters of the post office without scolding them or ordering them to get down. This location is petty enough to charge $ 12 for placing a fragile sticker on a small envelope that contained a $ 5 CD, and to top, it off I used a postal blank label and was charged an additional $ 7 for priority mail. So my $ 1.50 CD turned into a $ 20 charge. The only location in nearly 40 years of mailing do to such a thing. Never mind all the mail that's lost, broken and delivered late, that's OK, but use their 5 cent label and they'll get you. read more

I have had several issues with this location, albeit I've encountered worse service in Carol Stream. First, my neighbor's package gets misdelivered to another street with the same house number. When the neighbor inquired, they kept telling her that they'd look into it, but they wouldn't call the next day, and when she did, the person was off or on vacation and she'd have to retell her story again. We went searching for the package ourselves and figured out that it was delivered to the wrong house, but when the mailman finally listened four days later, the package was no longer there. The neighbor eventually dropped it off herself. Then I couldn't find my package, even though Amazon had sent me notification that it was delivered. I called the post office. They tried to explain to me that it was most likely in the bigger mailbox, for which a key should have been placed in my mailbox. I explained that there was no key and someone else had already opened the big box and took out whatever it was and nothing was there. The woman on the phone told me she'd call back first thing in the morning. Well, she didn't. Some neighbor dropped it off him/herself. Obviously, in less than two weeks, two packages on the same street were misdelivered. How often will this happen? Rediculous! P.S. USPS is just a hot mess altogether. My package wasn't delivered yesterday because "package was sent to the wrong facility and will now be delayed." Great. Today is a holiday, so maybe tomorrow? Not happy that I was told by this location that for my shipment that I needed to be present, stayed home all day...information about tracking number just stated in transit, called this location at 400pm, they stated all they see is that it is in transit and that they could deliver up until 8pm...then I received notice at 10:24pm that my package was delivered and signature approved...In San Diego California. I live in St Charles IL. Why they are not able to track a package...not just show its in transit is old school. I guess we get what we pay for. read more

I've had nothing but great service at this post office. They've always been helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and never made me feel like I should have known the answers to my questions. Yes sometimes there's a line. So what. They've gone above and beyond by actually talking with me, answering my questions after they were scheduled to be closed. Whenever I have an Amazon order slated to be delivered on a Sunday and the USPS is the carrier out of this post office, I never get it. I always get a message "attempted delivery" even though I make sure I'm home to receive it. This happens far too often. This is the only location that doesn't scan packages, so that you can follow tracking. I stopped dropping off packages here for that reason. I sell online and it's crucial to me that my buyers get an alert with a status update on their delivery. I'll get an alert once packages made their way to the next facility. So now I drop off packages at a different location and immediately my packages are scanned in. Please improve your shipping scanning & notifications. It's frustrating when you have shipped an item, but can't track it because someone didn't do their job. read more

Have not gotten mail on certain days (not on a holiday), or just one junk mail post card. I have received my neighbors mail multiple times, and vice versa. When I called to complain, the supervisor Lisa answered and took a "cell phone" call while hearing my complaint, she then put me on hold for over 10 minutes, when I called back, the phone kept ringing, no one answered it! Beyond unprofessional and rude; this is after we experienced inconsistencies in mail. And USPS wonders why we use email and other mailing options out there. When did taking pride or even responsibility in doing a good job not matter. I will file a complaint with a higher level of the USPS. read more

We have a business on the east side of St. Charles and I would like to compliment our carrier Bridget. She is always so pleasant and delivers our mail before noon everyday. This is very important to us since we are waiting for checks and invoices so that we can bill our customers. This Post office is terrible!! Staff is not friendly and do not seem to care about you as a customer. It's a shame! If you do not like your job, QUIT! There's plenty of other people who are looking for a good paying job and know what CUSTOMER SERVICE means. I was on vacation from June 3-8th. I asked for all mail to be delivered on the 8th. Nothing! I called at 7:30am on the 9th and was promised it would be delivered. Mail carrier came and left, NO MAIL! I called on the 9th at 4:30 and spoke to a manager . She claims my letter carrier had the mail. I advised her that my letter carrier came and left and I didn't receive my mail. She put me on hold and someone else came to the phone. This person stated my mail was found in the office and I could get it the next day!! (JUNE 10 !) I stated I wanted someone to deliver it since I really needed to receive 2 pieces of mail from the bundle. She stated it was going to be late and I said it was ok since I was home and I NEED my mail!! It is now after 10:00 at night with NO MAIL!! Also, they're horrible at delivering the correct mail to the correct addresses!!! DURRR! If you do not really NEED to visit THIS location, DONT!! What really Makes ME MAD About this post office is that Basically I wanted to ship a couple of gifts for my family) so anyways I ended up paying $15.00 Total and what makes me MAD is that the lady she gave me the box for free if all my stuff fit which It did, I taped it really well so the tape was about 3.00 what also makes me mad is that It is priority mail so she said we could send it by I went to the post office Thursday was post to be their by Monday, Then It was Wednesday and my mother still didn't receive the packaged) I WAS VERY UPSET. I paid 15.00 to ship the damn thing so for a couple of days Its sent by priority because I didn't want to spend that much for to ship it and i dind't pay any insurance which now I should of but Even the Insurance was expensive so i just went with the basic. I had mailed a property tax bill payment at the post office at East Main Street a week before it was due and 7 days later, it did not reach its destination at all. Because I did not purchase the tracking feature ,there 's no way to locate the mail, according to the staff . It's like a slap in the face for a simple delivery service that the post office can't even deliver..
