Was shopping in Geneva and stopped in the local post office to pick up stamps and was shocked to be treated like a leper by the clerk, Elwood, behind his shield. As a senior, vaccinated, he acted like he could hardly touch anything in dealing with customers. In reality, if the guy is so terrified of the corona virus, stay in the back, or stay home! Don't work with the public! The town of Geneva would go under if all retailers acted like him. read more

I'm sorry, but the hanging plastic situation they have going on in there currently is hilarious and you should go check it out just for that! There's nothing like the customer service of not being able to see the agent through some crinkly hanging garbage bags, and being passed some stamps under some Jerry-rigged binder clip weights! The person my wife and I delt with was very nice and talked us into using a service called certified mail with a signed receipt confirming delivery to the right person at the right address. When we received the return receipt there was no signature so my wife and I have no idea if the documents were delivered or trashed somewhere. I went back to the same person and we were told that the supervisor would look into the matter. I went back the following day and was told the same story and that the supervisor would get in touch with me. I haven't been contacted yet so I will have to go to the post office tomorrow because they now refuse to answer the phone when my number shows up on their display and I want my money back for the service they didn't provide that I paid for. It bummed me out to see so many bad reviews! I went in a couple days ago and found the old establishment charming and was greeted by an older woman who was very patient with all my questions since Ive never sent a package in my life. She seemed happy to be able to help and even let me know about their free boxes that would save me money, I though this was very nice of her since I mentioned potentially bringing in more packages and now I'll save a couple bucks! Hopefully those with bad experiences will have a chance to interact with her as she was very kind and extremely helpful! read more

I have sent my stuff and money here many times. they ask me if I want to send it fast or slow. I said I wanted to send it normally. a woman told me would be in the week. But it's been over a week, but I didn't get my stuff. turned to ask them not to help. Because no code to send. Pay only 2 dollars and they don't give codes? I usually don't store bills under $ 10. and they did not ask for a bill for that. They require a code. but before I came and sent my stuff they didn't ask me if I needed the 2 dollar code? They want me to send the fastest 8-10 dollars. They mean to send it that fast. I did not send but only sent for 2 dollars. Now i don't get my stuff. read more

I am very naive when it comes to the postal office-- specifically how to send out a package. I came into this location this afternoon with a package, and one of the female staff (I was unable to catch her name) was so helpful and didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing such a simple thing. ;) I will be coming here again for any postal needs! read more

There is only ONE nice, helpful person who works here and she is super sweet. She is middle age and maybe she has life experiences to be able to give such good customer service. However, the other lady that complains every single time you walk in with a package---PLEASE just retire and move on. You are working in Geneva---a small town with low crime and awesome nice people in it and you CANNOT handle it! What do you think you will be able to handle in life? Nothing! I know you said you need to put in for a transfer because I walked in with packages with pre-paid postage about ten minutes before close at 5:30 and now you might need to actually work those last ten minutes of your shift--- and I sincerely hope that you do put in for that transfer and move away from my life. However, I feel bad that you work for a Government agency and they do nothing about your attitude except keep giving you a paycheck with weekends and holidays off. Rough life---keep being rude as I am sure that is getting you places with lots of wonderful friends and family that admire you. I've never had anything but kind, helpful service at this branch. I don't wish to cast aspersions or doubts on those who have had difficulties, but remember that people are more likely to act out of anger than gratitude (poor reviews) and that everyone has off-days and that these are extremely hard-working and rarely thanked people. The postmaster (or whatever he is) named Elwood is really a very nasty person to deal with. Always has very snide remarks. If you don't like your job, leave. Quit putting everyone that walks into the Post Office through your fueled comments. Your customer service, outlook on life and people skills really need approvement.
