I found the building to be clean, bright, and modern. Our friend was sworn in, then the meeting recessed to celebrate with cake and coffee. Talking with staff and trustees was pleasant as everyone seemed very friendly and excited to do the work of governing. Congratulations to our friend and the Village of Streamwood who is getting an excellent citizen as its newest trustee!

Even when I have to call in I am routed to a live human being lick-ity-split! They also offer extended hours a few days of the weeks for us 'working folk.' Also, they try to keep the citizens of Roselle involved and informed. They have regular 'coffee chats' where the people of Roselle are welcomed to come and share their opinions and discuss matters regarding the village. The second letter stated there was no such unit (again, mail has been successfully delivered there). This last time they said there was not enough postage on the envelope. I took it to my post office and they said that the postage was more than adequate and they physically stamped it so it will be delivered. I'm aware that they may be understaffed, but I do my best job at my job even when we are also understaffed. Please do better.

Let's address the unprofessional conduct of one of your officers arriving at a MVA yesterday…read moreevening at the intersection of Roosevelt road and President Street. I was on scene when the above accident occurred and immediately pulled into the gas station and was informed that emergency personnel were contacted. I then proceeded to help secure the scene until emergency personnel arrived and verifying their were no serious injuries involved. I pulled into the adjacent bank parking lot and went to the intersection and still observed no emergency personnel. I then assisted in clearing some of the waiting traffic at the intersection until I heard sirens of emergency personnel approaching from both the south, fire/ambulance and west police. I proceeded to stop all pending traffic in all directions because of emergency traffic approaching from multiple directions and didn't want any vehicles entering the intersection. After assuring police and fire/ambulance personnel got positioned. I moved myself out of the way when I was aggressively approached by a Wheaton police officer demanding i get off the street out of the investigation blah blah blah. I then got on the sidewalk and again he started getting aggressive with his demeanor with me telling me to leave even though I was definitely far enough and in no way interfering with his non investigating investigation as the injured parties were conversing with medical staff. As he was not happy with my location he ILLEGALLY RAN MY CAR PLATES THAT WERE PARKED IN A PRIVATE LOT. I was on private property now. 2 other officers came over and I spoke of my displeasure and his I feel gestapo tactics when I was out there on scene making sure him and all his emergency personnel got to the scene safely. Only reason for the 2 stars was the 2 other officers that spoke with me at my car otherwise it would be 0 stars.

I love the speakers they bring in and the "make & take" crafts. Books can be checked out in person or online. They organize book clubs and reading contests for both adults and children. Her convo was NOT a business or daycare kind of call- strictly social...WHY?? She had her kids w/her not even bothering to ask them to stop running around talking. Send them to the KID's Library upstairs- what's it's FOR!! You can understand ONE phonecall outloud answer- 15mins of it- NO. Get a clue. Staff KNEW she was disruptive and did nothing about it. I am too nice of a person to 'correct' a stranger and omg forget it if they're a POC. Why would the last nice place- a LIBRARY be allowed to be trashed?? STAFF: DO YOUR JOB.
