These guys are absolutely wonderful and so Naperville Fire Department and car 47 is one of the greatest assets that Naperville has to offer. I want people to know that!!!!!! I understand there are much bigger and worse emergencies out there and that just makes me more confident that these guys come with so much drive and ambition to help and assist from the lower level like I called them even though it's a big deal to me because I don't feel like being stuck on the floor for a day, but I know they will handle a catastrophe with the highest form of professionalism I've seen it from my own perspective and I'm so blessed to have a resource to rely on and call when I need like the Naperville Fire Department car 47!! Great job guys, thank you so much!

Gladly I was staying with my folks in south Naperville when I had a mid-night medical emergency. They called 911 and the crew from the fire department down the block was there within 5 minutes. (My only regret is that I was unconscious with 6 firemen in my bedroom, haha!) It doesn't get much faster than that, and I'm very grateful for their speedy response time and professional care.

They are over priced and it is allowed simply because annual fire alarm inspections and repairs are…read moremandated by the Naperville Fire Dept for condo buildings resulting in Total Fire & Safety being a monopoly and charging whatever amount they want. Year after year they fail to upload the annual fire alarm inspection report to Brycer Compliance Engine which provides the inspection report to the Naperville Fire Dept. Condo building inspections are done every October and there is an additional fee to send an email to Brycer with inspection report. Every year, at end of November, Condo Association gets calls from City of Naperville stating they have not received the inspection report. Condo Association has to call Total Fire & Safety to have them send it. Again every year, at end of December, just like today, Condo Association gets another call from City of Naperville, and now this year from a contract/attorney office to get the inspection reports sent in ASAP or face fines. I called Total Fire & Safety and got attitude and talked over. The Condo Association has looked into changing inspection companies, but they are all over priced which enforces the monopoly of overpriced service for these types of business.

When a Village Inspector goes to a disabled resident's rental condo at Arbor Park Condos DG (David…read moreB. & Heather) after pictures/responses were submitted to them (dated 2021 to 2023) outlining concerns/responses from Mgr. Kai for owner of unit (who used condensation as an excuse in 2021) & RealManage (who then advised Resident to go through Mgr. only after Resident has been communicating with them requesting STATUS) when the concern only occurs when it rains only to have the Resident be advised by David B. (who has the Mgr. response from 2021) following suit of the Mgr. (Mgr. states he does not have permission to go into the attic) & claiming it is a shower condensation issue when the attic has not been inspected, says something is VERY WRONG! There appears to be a favoritism towards Arbor Park Condos by the Village even when Nora advised the Resident that the Downers Grove Municipal Code and 2015 ICC Property Maintenance Code apply to this building, however, David B./Heather (Heather coming for David B.'s support) appear to want to make it a shower condensation issue due to no soft spots, no falling tiles, no visible wetness on the opposite wall when it only happens when it rains & WITHOUT adequately inspecting the attic above the unit of which they claim to need permission (obtained NONE) when attic access is in front of the door to the Residents unit. There is an HOA1/Board & it appears there is laxity of repair & on enforcement on this Property. Zinsco Circuit Breaker Box was replaced in Resident's unit 05/28/20 without a permit/inspection after loss of Hot Water & according to FOIA 01/2022 no permit was provided in the FOIA response & should have been if one existed. Per CAPPS 05/27/20 it was not the hot water tank but the Zinsco Circuit Breaker Box. Information on Zinsco: "Zinsco panels are unsafe, and we urge homeowners to consider a replacement. Zinsco breakers are known to not trip in the presence of overcurrent or short circuits. Due to the type of aluminum used, Zinsco breakers can melt and fuse to the bus bar, prohibiting the breakers from tripping and can cause house fires." But who wants Code Enforcement enforcing replacement of Circuit Breaker Boxes with a fire potential or enforcing roof leak repairs? Disabled Resident(s) are in need of an accommodating habitable all-electric unit with Owners/Mgrs/HOA/Board/ et al. willing to work with them & do timely repair/maintenance in the areas that need to be addressed correcting the leakages & not having them ignored by all. When it occurred last 07/28/23 raining after hours, David B. was sent an email/pictures inquiring if he could come out & check when active. That did not occur. Resident is feeling as though the Village combined with ARBPK1/Mgr./etc., are working negatively towards disabled Resident(s) as 04/2022 renewal Mgr. claimed Sale of unit after Residents involvement with an overheating busbar 2021 in the main meter cabinet behind another unit's meter causing loss of half of the electricity to all 4 units when it overheated-since corrected in combination with 2021 written requests for accommodations. Is there anyone at Village Level willing to assist? Mayor Bob? Helpful feedback appreciated.
