What I don't get is that it took almost two hours for one to show up, and we were less than 10 minutes away from the station (and it was closed, so we couldn't just drive there). I called only twice during this time, the other driver might've called more times. I spoke to some guy named "Brandon?" Or maybe "Brendon?" Whoever he was, he said "police are dealing with other issues right now," (for two hours, likely story. The person I spoke to before said there was a shift change) then went on to tell me I didn't actually need a police report at all "because the accident occurred on private property." When he couldn't defend his outrageously incorrect statement, he said "actually there's an officer coming your way now." So the non-emergency personnel working there have no idea what they're talking about and lie to you to excuse laziness and incompetence. Something you really value at a police station, right? Call Aurora instead. Or, call Metra Police (who helped us because he felt bad).

They responded quickly to a suspicious vehicle with tinted windows that had been parked for a while, but............. when someone was attempting to break into our home, lots of questions as I am watching the car with the 2 men in it drive away. As I am describing the vehicle hoping the police will stop them before they exit the subdivision, I am being asked to describe the individuals, DID they get into the house, etc. As I am stating that they are now exiting the subdivision, the dispatcher says they will send someone out. Why bother? They are long gone. Did the police stop at my home to see about any damage? NO Was there any follow up to the incident? NO AND, they came back and attempted to get into another house in our subdivision, but had a bogus story when the homeowner answered the door. The home owner recognized the vehicle because I had sent out an e-mail to warn everyone. Congratulations to the Naperville Police Department, they caught the guys.

Maybe not there problem! 2) Cop finally shows up ask him to search home no can't do it with out partner, wait some more (criminal now long gone) Second cop shows up all tattooed up if he didn't get out of a cop car I would have guessed he was the crook coming back for more. And by the way the second cop could have care less!!!! 3) finally the CSI cop women shows up (she has more tattoo then the second guy) said she was going to take prints. I am pretty sure never happened. Never took my prints or any member of my family to eliminate 4) they were never really sure were they got in and were all leaving. When I was walking around my house to lock up I look at my back door and they ripped it out of the frame. Had to chase the cop back down to come look at it. They hardly cared. God forbid you park your car on the street at night though. There will be a ticket waiting for you. They don't serve and protect they are just revenue generators! Oh by the way it's been more then 10 days never even got a follow up call. Nice job Woodridge Police.

Will County Adult Detention Facility - I know I don't look very happy in this shot... in fact I tried to look kind of 'menacing' and everything... 'cause I was in jail

I called to schedule a visit with a family member a couple weeks ago. Calling the place was easy…read more It's strictly a video visitation place. You simply walk on in after paying to park because the officers get the free parking. The officers here treated me like a dumb criminal. I'm just a simple man that wanted to visit family. The video calls had bad sound and video quality. I didn't even get a full 30 minutes. Just 22! Make sure your family/friends don't get locked up here because I wouldn't want to come back here.

Let's face it…read more Nobody likes going to jail. Well... if you're married to someone who makes your life a living hell every waking moment and you're worried about them pouring gasoline on you while you sleep and lighting you up... jail can seem peaceful and safe. I spent around 47 hours and 13 minutes in the Will County Adult Detention Facility so I feel qualified to offer you a review of this government institution. Like everyone else I was there because I was framed. Unfortunately I was 'framed' on a holiday where the courts were closed and the jail was filled to over capacity and it would be almost two days before I could see the judge to get my sorry ass bonded out of there. I've never been in any other jail so it's hard to compare this facility to any of the other penal institutions you may be familiar with. I've been in a few police lockups but that really doesn't count. When you get your dumbass thrown in jail the police officer who arrested you drives you to 'The Big House' and the arresting officer watches them 'book you in.' It's not a whole bunch of fun and they really search you very well. Don't try to hide your nicotine gum or they'll find it and then you're off to a body cavity search with more than likely a very big and insensitive guard who you probably really don't want probing you in those places anyway. They take all your stuff... including your clothes and they put it in this machine and shrink wrap it so you can get it if you're lucky enough to leave. The guards there seem like they want to bust your head for any infraction and there's all kindsa rules you better learn really quickly. After a bunch of paperwork they take you to the nurse and she gives you about four or five vaccinations. They probably won't tell you what they are but by the third one they heard my objection to these vaccinations on the grounds of 'religious exemption' and quit sticking me with needles... although the guard informed the nurse that he'd be more than happy to 'tune me up' into compliance for the nurse. Since I am a federal informant who blew the whistle on some serious government corruption I was given my very own cell. It had a concrete bench to sleep on... and fluorescent lights that were never turned off. The toilet was right in the middle and it was made out of stainless steel with no seat and if you used it everyone could watch. That was kinda weird. The food there really sucked... it was cold... not appetizing at all and the purple cool aid was devoid of any sugar since the guys in the kitchen steal all of the sugar to make 'hootch' in their cells... a primitive fermented beverage that anyone who has spent any time in the 'Big House' is familiar with. As this was my very first time experiencing the life of an inmate you can bet I was scared and nervous. The guards could care less and they wouldn't even answer any questions. They give you an orange jumpsuit to wear in addition to underwear and socks that someone else wore.. kinda creepy really. Many of the people who go to jail are innocent and the statistics prove that... but the guards still treat everyone like shit and it's a really dehumanizing experience. I hope you never go through it... unless you deserve it... but you still have my sympathies because losing your freedom and being in jail sucks big time. Especially if you're there for no reason. It's still gonna cost you a lot of money to prove you didn't deserve to be there and if you do that... after spending thousands of dollars and going through all of that you wont even get an apology. I hope this is the last review that I do of any penal institution and I hope you never have to make use of it. Even after I went in front of the judge and I was bonded out it took like fourteen hours before they released me... and they threw me outta the joint at three O'clock in the morning. I didn't wanna bother anyone for a ride at that time so I went to the train station and I partied with a bunch of homeless drunks until five when the trains started running. I didn't care that these guys were bums or that the smell of urine wafted on the breeze as we knocked back some Mad Dog 20/20 from a brown paper bag... I was free and that freedom was so sweet.

This police department did a terrible job at protecting me as a pregnant woman that was attacked by white pedestrians via their road rage. These white pedestrians followed me to my home when I got off of work because they were upset that I legally went around them in the residential neighborhood. They decided to block me in my parking spot, hop out their car and threaten me then decided to call the police on me. Luckily I had an appointment the police then decide to tell me they are going to charge me! After pleading my case and telling them I was harassed they called the other party only for them to say ... " I'm young and pregnant - so drop the charges" the detective then called me back to say "I'm lucky" not only that the officer before him told me "The white pedestrians didn't do anything illegal by following me home, blocking my car and attempting approach me with threats". Now they see why blacks in America hate cops! Every black person isn't wrong and we are not guilty and I'm definitely sure I make way more money then they do just to harass me. I felt NO protection in this city with them especially to be 6months pregnant. They need better training and people skills, I wouldn't be surprised if they were doing a lot of mean, evil and illegal things to the minority's in this area. Never again will I go through something like this! I am moving.

When they showed up I was obviously distraught. And instead of asking me questions or listening to my side they took my bf outside and let him lie to them regarding the whole situation. When I told them all the other times he'd laid his hands on me they said "well why didn't you call us then?" And pretty much blamed me. They kicked me out of the house and he didn't get in trouble at all for dragging me all over the house and putting his hands on me. I had no family or anywhere to go in Illinois, I spent the night in my car and was given a pamphlet on Domestic Violence. My brother's a police officer and he was appalled with how Schaumburg Police dealt with this situation. Yall should be ashamed !
