Every time I walk in this place I feel like I'm entering a torturous inner ring of hell. Literally... the.worst.ever. Total disgrace. The staff are horrible. Never seen a single smile or heard anything mildly pleasant to a customer. No rush... they shuffle, chat, completely ignore and treat customers with distain, and lines grow. ZERO communication with customers or each other. No one knows what they're doing. AND IT'S THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME. Today I was frustrated to the point of tears. Left work early (with great effort) to mail a birthday gift internationally. After waiting in line 10mins to be given the correct international mailing form... I was told to get out of line to fill the form in... Then I had to re-join the line and wait an additional 10 mins... I get up to the counter and am told "Oh, thats international? Oh no, you'll have to come back tomorrow. Actually, we're closed already. It's 5:00 and we stop doing international things at 4:30. International things take a long time." 1) I've been in your store since 4:30. SINCE WELL BEFORE YOUR CLOSE TIME. 2) I have waited in two lines. I JOINED THEM WELL BEFORE YOUR CLOSE TIME. 3) Your website makes ZERO mention of "international things" closing early nor is there anything in writing stating this. AND BTW WE'RE TALKING ENGLAND... NOT, LIKE, "MARS?! 4) I don't care if it takes time. Perform the duties of your job... and don't waste MY time. Today is the last day I will ever set foot in this branch. I encourage you to go elsewhere or pay the money for FedEx or UPS. It's just not worth your life or your sanity. I hope they close this branch. NOOOOOOOO don't do it!!! It might be a teensy bit more expensive to go to FedEx or UPS, but believe me, your time is worth the difference! I waited in line for 40 minutes today because there was only ONE employee! I was near tears. Your life and happiness are more important than the agitation that comes from this place. read more

Do you have an hour of your life you'd like to never get back? Have something you'd like to mail? Then boy, do I have the place for you! Check out this old, run-down post office, staffed by grouchy people who would clearly rather be anywhere else in the world (Lava pit? Shark pool? They'll take it!). Enjoy waiting in the longest line you've seen since getting your driver's license, while one solitary employee helps Grandma extract her package from her bag, figure out the address (let's not even get started on the ZIP code), decide on a speed of service, and slowly and painfully count out exact change -- and that's just one of the six people still in front of you! Listen to the delightful banter of employees in the back who are declining to assist you! Don't forget to check the hours before you go, unless you want to add the pleasure of arriving 15 minutes before they open to watch people's small children run around and scream in the lobby. What's that? You'll use their automated package machine? Oh, but they don't have one at this location, so if you just want stamps, you should probably just go to Walgreens. So stand back (in line, that is), relax (stop grinding your teeth in frustration), and enjoy the ride at one the world's worst post offices! The only plus -- if you make it out alive, your mail will probably get where it's going, and for less money (though more mental pain) than UPS or FedEx. read more

This is the worst post office in Memphis. There is a long line of people, sometimes reaching the entrance. The longest wait for me is 25 minutes until I get service. There are usually only two people that work there at the counter. Whenever I had to wait a very long time and I get to the counter, they didn't apologize for the inconvenience. I remember one time that a man became very frustrated at the service that when he came to the front, he threw his ticket at the counter. I don't blame him at all. I only go to this post office only as a last resort. I go to the one on Southern near Target. It's much better and they have a machine for those priority mailings. read more

This is the worst post office I've ever used. The workers here clearly have disdain for working and will hang out in the back talking while customers wait and lines lengthen. Also, they do not communicate with each other and are extremely rude. After my third time in line to mail a certified letter and a combined 30 minute wait, I finally gave up and drove to the post office by target and was in and out in 5 minutes. Nothing was accomplished at this P.O. (or P.O.S. really) except inciting pure frustration and fury. read more

This post office zero (0) stars! When it really counted or mattered, this post office lost an eBay package or kept it in limbo for two and a half weeks. Turns out the two clerks at this location didn't exactly know what they were talking about when they said they could not ship the package because it was in a FedEx box. Even though an Ebay label for the United States Postal Service had been printed , the two clerk said they could not take the package. They said they could not scan it because it may potentially be lost and thrown back into a general sort with other FedEx packages. Completely shocked at a loss. After talking with the Postmaster General in Hattiesburg Mississippi who happens to be from Memphis said their information was wrong. Because they were wrong the Ebay shipment was cut off schedule by almost 3 weeks. After doing research it turns out this post office is rated poorly amongst many people. With that being said think twice about going to this location you may not ever get your package delivered and you may not ever get it back. The buyer actually recieved the package after being located at another Post Office, then being FedEx'd the next day. So everyone be careful that's all. read more

Had a package that was addressed (typed label) to Ireland. Guess where they sent it? ICELAND. There's one lady that works there that has a good attitude every time, one lady that obviously hates her job and the rest of the ladies there have good days and bad days. More of the latter. I always pray that I get the nice lady. Getting there at 8:30am is your best bet to not wait in a long line. Hope that you get Ms. Dawn as a clerk! read more

This post office is a disgrace to all the other hard working postal service workers else where. I went there to mail a letter (with a "PO Box" address). The lady standing behind the counter yelled and demanded me to write down exact address in order to mail as express mail. I told her it was a PO Box and that was it. She basically refused to let me mail the letter. She intentionally made other people standing behind me waiting to feel I was wasting their time. I had to leave because people behind me were getting agitated when she repeatedly refused listen to me and let me send the letter. I left for another post office and mailed the letter without any problem (PO Box). When I called her supervisor and complained about her poor service, the supervisor apologized and stated she was new and did not know that I can mail a letter with PO Box address. It was ironic some people cry out about discrimination yet they are so good at practicing it. It's a disgrace individuals like her allowed to serve others when she has such poor training and bad attitude. p.s., this incident happened a few years ago, but it was still a painful memory whenever that post office was mentioned. read more
