Worst ever experience ! I took my leather jacket to them to repair the zipper, they called me and…read moresaid couldn't repair had to replace for twice the money quoted. I said ok and picked it up and brought it home . i called them to let them know the zipper was very tight and hard to zip the manager said bring it back , jt just needed zipper oil. I picked it up assuming everything ok, it was better but still a little tight. At the time the weather was very hot for this time of year, so I assumed everything ok and hung it up in closet few weeks later weather cold enough to wear, when I zipped it up about 2 inches it began to split apart. I called back manager said sorry can't fix it because there seamstress no longer works there. I said that's ok just give me a refund and I can fix it somewhere else. He again said sorry you had it too long and must have just wore it out! I reminded him that I have not wore it , because weather still too hot m, last part of Nov temp in the 80's and was still playing golf. He again refused a refund ! I said by the way she even put the zipper back on the wrong side left and instead of right il so just refund me half the price to pay to have the zipper redone on the correct side. Same answer NO RFUND period! My answer and was very politely and calm was just this have you ever heard of social media 90 % of people check on referrals before and a good thing before they choose who to do business with ! un knowing to him I had panned to give them 3 blankets to have dry cleaned . I can now say SORRY you just lost 1 customer and all the future business you could have had !!

I stopped by today to see if my mid-length black leather jacket with a jacked-up zipper and a few…read moreother imperfections was worth saving. Drake Cleaners called back with an estimate within a couple of hours explaining that the leather would be sent out and an explanation of what was needed. I would expect this from any local cleaner that's been around for awhile. BUT THEN I asked Mitch (I think that was the name?) if he honestly thought it was worth the $150 minimum to fix it (zipper + all of the imperfections that I hadn't really noticed). He joked that as much as he'd like to have my money, it really probably was not worth it considering the cost of a new leather jacket nowadays (unless the jacket had sentimental value, which it does not). NOW THAT is some good honest business dealings. I do believe I will travel the extra couple blocks from my old dry cleaners (+ alterations) over to Drake now because they are good people. :)
