I love how my packages disappear in the Memphis hub. Lost two packages at Christmas, a coat and cookware. Just vanished when it hit there. Often it just sits at Memphis. I believe the management must be afraid of the workers and not correct the problems. I hold my breath each time the package hits Memphis. Will it disappear or be sent to another state? All of our mail is sent to Memphis and then goes to its destination. Very dissatisfied with Memphis Postal work. If you want something to go though Memphis, send it Priority as they pay more attention to these packages. I try to get all of my packages sent through UPS. read more

The carrier for the Jasmine Cove area is very rude. She will come through when the trash has been picked up all the trash cans are out there on the street. She will use her vehicle push the trash cans she flies through that up and down the street and these streets are very small. You don't know if kids are out there or not but she was blocking my driveway. My daughter and myself asked her she moved. She looked at us crazy her truck and pulled say anything to us at all. Another instance she always leave the at each residence slam them or just leave them open and she the package to my door. I was looking at her on my camera. She just dropped it out of her hand on the on the ground. She didn't know whether she didn't know or she didn't care whether or not there was a fragile item inside the package. She just dropped it and walked off. need to have a meeting with her because she is too rude. A vehicle was parked beside my mailbox. I was out there working in the yard. She looked at me and said can you move that ask that I know who Card was or not and then I just told her that she could pass the mail to me she said in a very rude I'm not do this every time which I didn't ask her. I didn't say anything. I just took the mail and walked off. She is a brown skin older lady with a ponytail that is braided on each side of her head and she wears glasses I think you all need to have a meeting with her because this is ridiculous. We already go through enough in the city of Memphis at least we want to have at least a male a nice male carrier or something to that nature cause everybody is too rude here you already need to fix the problem. After reading others' reviews, I'm no longer surprised. I had a package that was delayed for seven days and when I finally received it, the package has been rewrapped and repacked from this place. The shirt that I ordered was removed and replaced with a shot glass. I don't want that crap! The seller informed me that it's not even the packaging the shirt was shipped in. The sticker affixed in the box stated "DAMAGED IN HANDLING PLEASE ACCEPT OUR APOLOGIES." It should have stated "It's not really damaged. We just want to steal the contents." I had a package sent from rural Arkansas to rural Missouri and it went through Memphis Was held up 3 weeks in Memphis - and tracking was unavailable (in transit) only stating it left Memphis after the fact (no arrival date) My 20lb package arrived weighing 3lbs with a sticker saying Sorry, we repackaged your parcel. The 17lbs missing were the valuable content while the remaining 3lbs I received was garbage. So it was pilfered & stolen 160 pieces of music, 140 were rare collectible pieces with 20 or so pieces being worthless 'extras' - guess what I received? Whatever you do, do not send a card with cash in it. In Memphis the incompetent little thugs will open all cards and take any cash. It's happened to me, to other family members and friends. They are the worst! If it isn't stolen, lost, or just sent off in the opposite direction, consider yourself lucky. A few minutes ago a USPS postal worker driving truck #3307649 walked across our lawn and I approached him and pointed out that there are two signs on our lawn that clearly say "Please Do Not Walk on The Lawn". The postal worker pretended not to hear me and finally turned to me and threatened that we would not be getting any more packages delivered. I moved in November of last year and put in for a change of address. No mail. I decided to go to my local post office to scan my driver's license and put in another form for change of address. A card was sent to my new address. I carried it to my local post office. The representative told me to wait for a manager and she gave the manager the card I received in the mail. I waited and waited still no manager. She told me to leave my phone number and I left. I have not heard or received any mail yet. I am so frustrated by this point. As I am typing this review this location ought to be open (the lobby) for business. The carrier apparently did not deliver my package on June 19th (Sunday) however it indeed was a holiday while I still saw a mail truck running in my neighborhood just around the block. I get a notification via email I have to pick my package up. Well, here I am 10:04am and this post office is not open. Nor was there a noticed given it would be closed. While memphis mail seems to be far far slower than most, i really like the ladies that do customer service at this branch. They are friendly and helpful. They recognize me even when its been a while and I always appreciate that. Theyvare extremely helpful no matter what you need, always going above and beyond. read more

IT's gotten to the point where if I have to send anything to anywhere that my mail or package has a chance of going through Memphis, I'll go FedEx or UP instead. Too much gets lost, misplaced , or stolen in Memphis. I had to re-send things UPS that, even after a 22 day head start in the post office, the package arrive at the destination ahead of USPS.... infact, now, after over 30 days, USPS hasn't delivered. I work for a Dr office on Poplar Ave., your workers refuse to do their jobs. We either don't receive our mail or when they come they refuse to take our mail and said that's not her job. As a US postal person if you come to drop off mail it is your job to take postal with you. read more

I was very unhappy and upset about the two boxes I mailed from Maryland to my home in Hattiesburg, MS. My boxes came thru the Memphis Main Post Office. My two boxes were mail on May 11th and I received them May 23rd (A very long time). Besides my boxes being in Terrible shape, one was Stamped with a notice "DAMAGED IN HANDLING. PLEASE ACCEPT OUR APOLOGIES. REWRAPPED & REPAIRED AT MMPC" Well, I didn't insure my boxes; my mistake. But one box was repacked with some burnt and soot smudged clothing that WERE NOT EVEN MINE. Only two pieces of clothing were mine and those two items were smeared with black soot and smelled like they had been in a fire. I have clothes that were missing, shoes, my toiletry bag. It seems to me that even though I didn't insure my items, I should have gotten a courtesy letter from the Post Office letting me know "there was a fire" and not put crap in a box and send to me like they were mine. I'd rather not gotten the package because it disturbs me to think that Grown People would pack a box with that and think it was OK. Who does that! The customer service did not show up here. I called to have a discussion and No one could assist me. (because I had no insurance). I just wanted to know if there was a fire or not at the post office? No one could tell me that. If there Was Not a fire, Where the heck did they get those cloths from? I called the 1-800 number and was given the address in Washington, DC to express my concerns. I have taken pictures of this mess and will mail my letter with pictures and I WILL Not use USPS for mailing packages again. My package was ten days late and arrived covered in ink, crumpled up, and with a HOLE IN IT, and the product I ordered was missing. On top of that, they are NO HELP whatsoever. Have come to this post office for years. Overall poor customer service compared to other post offices that I have visited. Always same women, most are usually somewhat tolerable. The lady at the far end, close to the wall is pleasant. Which is why I have an extra star, but office worker Deborah Tidwell has extremely poor customer service. She is completely unprofessional and should not be working at the counter. Honestly, I can't recall her ever having great service. She is very rude and does not know the proper way to speak to people. She is of no value as she is unable and unwilling to offer any type of assistance. She yelled at a woman with her child who was not in line bc she was looking for a pen. Did not offer the woman a pen. Told me I could not ship a package in a way in which I have done for years. Did not offer to seal the box for me. Terrible attitude that confused and shocked me. Her answer to each of my questions was a "I don't know" that's your problem response. I politely said I would take it to another post office and walked out. She needs a job working with children because she obviously thinks she is dealing with her own children instead of patrons.
