When I went on the roof after the replacement I noticed they did not replace the turtle vents, the same hail dented ones are still there, but they were billing me for the vents. After calling getting those taken off in the same conversation they added charges for roofing around my swamp cooler which was there when they did the assessment, evaluation and estimate, there was zero reason for there to be unknown cost regarding the swamp cooler. And these costs were only added after I called about the vents NOT being replaced. I felt that they had a specific dollar amount they were trying to get. As another person said here, they were out to get the most for doing the least. They were trying to bill for things that were not replaced and I am still mad, like why didn't you just replace the vents and we would have paid for them! Instead of not replacing them and trying to have me pay for work that was not done. Boils down to all the trust being totally broken. Could have had a customer for life. And what is really bad is posting about himself and the company doing things the right way and treating people right and that was NOT my experience at all.

He even offered to wait for the house closing to get paid. He does not rush the selling/contract process and explains the typical steps from start to finish based on the roof style your home has. No detail was too small. No question was too mundane. He took care of the permit and inspection too. Donny is very professional and personable. When they finished the roof repair they left the heating tape hanging off the roof and did not put it back on. I had to call them back out to finish the job but by then it had snowed and it couldn't be put back properly. I was selling my house so the work couldn't be fixed until this last summer so I agreed to pay $650 of the bill then even though they hadn't finished the job and the rest when they finished. It is now November, 1 year since they replaced the roof and they are now billing me the $350. In addition, when I expressed my displeasure for how this has happened, he called me entitled and is threatening to ruin my credit and take me to court. I have no problem paying what I should pay, that is not the issue. The issue is that he sent me an invoice a year later, with no photos, no explaining or any type of details. Just a bill. I never should have had to call them to do the job right that I was being charged for and $1000 for 30 minutes of work is excessive. He is now being extremely rude and refuses to take responsibility for doing such an unprofessional job. They inspected the roof and disproved what the inspector was citing, and found issues that the inspector had completely missed. Then they got the repairs done 2 or 3 days later. Was happy they called the inspector out on BS...and had no problems fixing the real problems for the buyer. If you appreciate working with normal human beings then these are your guys.

Bob came to my house several times to walk through his process, show me sample materials, and answer all of my questions. He never pressured me on cost or timing. The estimate was extremely well put-together, whereas the other three bids I got were poorly handwritten and not detailed enough. His price quote and labor warranty also beat the competition hands-down! Bob's crew was very respectful and performed the job to my high expectations. My house was a tricky one...a really old roof with three layers of existing shingles and wood shake, very close to a neighbor's property on one side, and with minimal parking to accommodate their dump truck. Despite all of these challenges, the crew managed to maintain all debris and cleaned up the construction site before leaving each evening! We experienced hail damage to our 1980's brown bubbled skylights. We were so excited to be able to get new updated clear skylights. I did lots of research looking for the right company to do our repairs. We found Skylight Specialists and decided to give them a call for an estimate quote for our insurance company. I spoke with Josh Ewing. He was very knowledgeable about the products, product options, and provided us an estimate for our insurance company quicker than expected. We decided to go through Skylight Specialists and Josh Ewing got everything handled and got our materials on order. Mike called once all the materials arrived to schedule but unfortunately our HOA decided to replace the roofs so it put our skylights on hold for a couple of months. Skylight Specialists were amazing with holding on to our materials and being patient while we waited for the roof to be replaced. Once the roof was replaced, Mike setup the install for us. Kenny and Devin arrived promptly even earlier than expected which was awesome and they completed the job sooner than I had expected. The quality of the materials, the installation, and customer service received during this whole experience was top notch. Disappointing Experience -- No-Show for Scheduled Appointment…read more We scheduled an appointment with Skylight Specialists / See the Light Windows to measure our home for five replacement windows and a sliding glass door. I originally requested a Saturday appointment, but because none was available, we delayed our vacation departure specifically to accommodate their Monday appointment scheduled between 1:00 and 1:15 p.m. Unfortunately, no one showed up. By 1:45 p.m., I had to call the company myself to find out what had happened. I spoke with Blade, who was cordial and explained that my phone number apparently had not been "keyed" into their system correctly. This was particularly frustrating because I entered my information correctly when scheduling online, and they had both my correct email address and home address in their system. Blade said he had attempted to text me and wanted to reschedule for another day. However, when a customer doesn't respond to a text--particularly for a scheduled sales appointment--a simple follow-up email or phone-number verification could have prevented the situation. What bothered me most was that although Blade was cordial, there was no real acknowledgment that their mistake had wasted my time and caused us to delay our vacation departure for an appointment they failed to keep. Instead, the solution was simply to reschedule for another day. Mistakes happen. An incorrectly entered phone number alone would not normally cause me to leave a negative review. The bigger issue was the lack of follow-through. They had my correct email and address, yet apparently made no additional attempt to contact me, and I ultimately had to call them to find out they weren't coming. Window and door replacement is a significant investment that requires accurate measurements, careful coordination, good communication, and attention to detail. If a company can't reliably manage the initial sales and measurement appointment, it raises legitimate concerns about how the actual installation and any subsequent issues will be handled.
