I sat there listening to the front desk calling several other patients to reschedule their appointments last-minute, which signaled total office disarray. Making matters worse, the dentist didn't even show up to the building until 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was there for a root canal and crown consultation. After the exam, they quoted my out-of-pocket cost--after insurance--at nearly $2.500. The number felt extremely inflated, so I went to another dentist an hour later for a second opinion. Using the exact same insurance for the exact same root canal and crown, the second dentist quoted me $1,700 less than this office. It is shocking that they would try to overcharge a patient by that much. Between the blatant price-gouging and the total lack of respect for patients' time, I will never step foot in this office again. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Dentist tells you in advance what insurance will cover, kinda. Got a great tooth cleaning. Repaired a tooth with excellent results. Bad: got a bill from Clovis Crossing then got a check from my insurance so I had to make another visit to give CC my insurance check. Got several calls from CC (and I keep getting them) asking to pay my bill. I never had to physically pay a bill with my previous dentist. Dentist recommended treatments that were over $100. I felt like it was a scare tactic. I didn't feel those recommendations were necessary. Hygienist numbed my whole mouth for the cleaning. Never had that done before. I was desperate to get my tooth repaired so my co-worker recommended CC. I'll probably do one more cleaning then look for another dentist.

Very quickly, they started calling to cancel my appointments until eventually I came in one time and they said sorry you've missed too many appointments and we don't want to accept you anymore as a patient. They had entirely faked all the paperwork, giving me calls and then on paper making it seem like I didn't show up. First thing Monday morning, I searched for dental offices open on holiday (Martin Luther King), and his office was the closest available. From the very first moment, I felt taken care of. Rosa at the front desk was incredibly kind and compassionate, she truly understood my situation and welcomed me in immediately. The entire experience was exceptional. I felt no pain from the injections and no pain during the extraction itself. I honestly couldn't believe it. At one point I even asked, "Is it all done?" -- and when he said "Yes," I was so relieved I started laughing. The tooth was severely infected, and extraction was the only option, but the process was completely smooth and stress-free. This office delivers professionalism, compassion, skill, and true patient care. This review is not for their dental service, but the fact that their office staff doesn't even take the time to ask why are you calling and is there anything we can help you with. When he retired, I went to Dr. Malan again... The father of this Dr. Malan. And when he retired... I guess you have figured it out by now. :) I have found that everyone here, from the people in the front office, through the wonderful hygienist, to Dr. Malan himself, have been extremely kind, helpful, caring, and all-around great folks. I've always felt good about coming here, and I'm one of those people that, well, is not a good dental patient. Let's just leave it at that. :-) A couple of times, when I've had a bit of a dental emergency, they have bent over backwards to help me get my problem taken care of. I really really appreciate that.
