Dr. Mendoza's office was initially able to schedule me quickly for a first time visit. After completing my 2nd visit 6 months later, I can say that first impressions were true. His staff is courteous, the office is very clean, and the hygienist does a fantastic job and answers all of my questions. I found this place when I had an old filling crack. I have tried to avoid the dentist at all cost as I've always had a fear since I was a child. They were able to get me in the same day and I expressed to the staff my fear of dentistry. They all reassured me that they would walk me through everything. Dr. Mendoza was extremely helpful and could see how terrified I was. He offered a prescription for medication to help me get through my anxiety of the visit. I've now been a patient for almost 2 years and I no longer need a prescription to continue my visits as they make me feel very calm and relaxed. Went in for a cleaning, assessment, and x-rays. I was 10min late. They took me anyways, but did not tell me that they would not conduct a thorough cleaning and NO assessment. The dental hygienist was very rude and snapped at me when I asked when my assessment would be done. She said, well, you were late! Mind you, there were multiple delays during my visit in which the tv screen/camera were not working, tangled tech wires, and also the machine for teeth cleaning wasn't initially working which ate up valuable time. Anyway, my gum hurts and I can't go for another assessment since I was already charged through my insurance. Also, they always over charge at the front desk. I only pay my co-pay, but this is the only office that always charges more. Front desk guy was also pretty rude and the office smelled of pizza when I left, not sure if they were having a pizza party, but it was a nauseating odor. read more

My first encounter with this office was for a consultation. Jordan who is knowable and kind helped me set up an appointment and sent all the paper work via text. It was very easy to navigate and fill out. I entered the office for the first time and not only was it very clean it smelled pleasant, I was welcomed right away and I didn't sit more than 5mins before I got called in. I was very nervous because I held off getting a crown for one of my front teeth from a root canal that was more than 15 years old. It was starting to leak and darken I was not able to smile anymore. Dr. Mendoza introduced himself and was very polite he examined my teeth and recommended we replace both front teeth with crowns. He even drew a diagram of the crowns and had samples to show me exactly what they look like. I felt comfortable to continue with him and get the work done. They have different financial options and I was able to get a great care credit promotion. My next visit was to shave down the teeth and get a digital mold for the crowns. His staff communicates so well with each other he has a great team working with him. The numbing was gentle and The procedure was quick, under an hour. I left with Temporaries. The crowns arrived soon after. The crowns I received didn't match my teeth quite well. The Dr. reassured me that he would send pictures and notes to the lab to re-create the perfect match. He takes pride in his work and guarantees his patients satisfaction. The next crowns that arrived were a perfect match! When I called to make an appointment I let them know I was a new patient with a dental emergency. The receptionist was super friendly and welcoming and were able to squeeze me in for an appointment the next day. Upon arrival I was offered water and was seen right away. Making the appointment was easy and I was in the same week I had called. I don't appreciate being talked to like a child. I have always had dentist's talk to me as if I was 12 years old and didn't understand what they were trying to explain to me. I definitely did not feel this way here. I wasn't made to feel stupid or dumb and wasn't talked to in a condescending manner. I really appreciated that. I'm a big chicken when it comes to the dentist. I hate when they try and get you to get all kinds of stuff done prior to fixing the main problem first. Dr. Had lots of good reviews on yelp so I decided to give it a shot because I had a molar that's been hurting for a while. I called and was in within one day. I'm in a wheelchair so any appointment I need help with. So I was quite pleased when I went in and immediately got X-rays and they asked if I wanted the root canal right then and there! Yaas!!! Finally a dentist that helps you immediately!!! They gave me the cost upfront and it was a very low. He did the work and then he took the time to talk to me about the other stuff that I need after. I didn't feel any pressure to get unnecessary dental work and they made sure I was comfortable. Good personable staff very friendly and helpful. I actually enjoyed my visit. I was also terrified of what they'd find when I'd go back & how much I'd have to pay. Unfortunately I got a toothache & didn't want to leave it unnoticed. Okay so I was pretty thrilled to visit this location with all the wonderful reviews. I came in for a cleaning. The facility is very clean as it is fairly new. My interaction with Courtney during the transaction wasn't really that smooth when I was asking questions. Doctor is very nice and loved that he was open to talking about different topics. He was kind and personable but talked a bit too much. I really wanted to get started on my cleaning and get going. I get my teeth cleaned at Fresno city college dental hygiene clinic. They take a very long time but I go back because they go into every nook and cranny for only $10 at the very most! The prices here weren't that bad. It was $110 but to be honest my teeth were not clean. I had one problem area that he focused on the most because I have a lingual bar behind my teeth from braces, but he didn't touch the other teeth at all. I thought I paid for a full mouth cleaning. At the time I told him I was very pleased and I was because I thought my mouth was clean until I got home and looked closely. I hate to be the one to rate this facility less than five star and break the streak but I'd like to be honest. I did give myself time to think all of this over. I thought maybe in a day or two I'd feel better about it but quite honestly now that I think about it, I really didn't mind paying a lot more at a facility i went to before I started going to fcc hygiene clinic.
