Good: got me in quickly for a cleaning and tooth repair. Very flexible with appointment hours. Reception is friendly. Waiting room is clean. Accepted my insurance. Dentist tells you in advance what insurance will cover, kinda. Got a great tooth cleaning. Repaired a tooth with excellent results. Bad: got a bill from Clovis Crossing then got a check from my insurance so I had to make another visit to give CC my insurance check. Got several calls from CC (and I keep getting them) asking to pay my bill. I never had to physically pay a bill with my previous dentist. Dentist recommended treatments that were over $100. I felt like it was a scare tactic. I didn't feel those recommendations were necessary. Hygienist numbed my whole mouth for the cleaning. Never had that done before. I was desperate to get my tooth repaired so my co-worker recommended CC. I'll probably do one more cleaning then look for another dentist. read more

I arrived at 12:55 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. appointment and was not seen until 1:40 p.m., with the procedure concluding at approximately 2:20 p.m. I had clearly communicated that I had an interview at 2:45 p.m., yet time management, consideration, and respect for my schedule were noticeably lacking. From the moment I entered, I had an uneasy intuition about the atmosphere. After later examining recent online reviews, especially on Yelp, I noticed several patients describing similar patterns of pressure and unprofessional conduct. One review specifically mentioned feeling pushed into accepting Nitrous Oxide, and my experience mirrored that almost exactly. During my interactions with Dr. Anstey, his dental assistant who never introduced himself, Brenda, and Leslie, I consistently felt pressured, dismissed, and deprived of meaningful patient autonomy. I declined Nitrous Oxide multiple times not because I was unable or unwilling to pay the fee, but because I prefer local anesthesia, value being fully aware of my surroundings, and wanted to make an informed choice about my own health. Instead of respecting this decision, several staff members attempted to override it, repeatedly insisting that declining Nitrous Oxide would make the procedure more difficult. At no point did anyone provide a thorough explanation of the root canal process, the risks, alternatives, or what to expect, all of which are essential components of informed consent and ethical care. The tone of the appointment shifted immediately after I first said no. The dental assistant told me that I was "changing the procedure" by declining Nitrous Oxide, implying that I was making their job harder. This was unprofessional, unnecessary, and heightened my anxiety throughout what was already a stress-inducing procedure. No patient should feel coerced or guilted for making a reasonable medical decision, especially regarding a sedative that has lingering effects and requires safety considerations regarding driving afterward. I also want to highlight the conduct of a receptionist whose name I did not get. After briefly looking at my patient file and billing information, she told me to wait until the dentist could speak with me. The way this was handled made me feel like I could not leave the situation, even after I expressed discomfort and a desire to reschedule. It added to the sense that my "no" was not being heard or respected. When a patient expresses uncertainty or declines a treatment option, they should feel supported--not trapped or pressured into continuing. While Leslie was professional, attentive, and communicative and I genuinely appreciated her tone and approach but that doesn't take away from the overall experience which was disorganized, boundary-crossing, and dismissive of patient rights. Brenda attempted to facilitate but was frequently in and out of the room, contributing to the confusion and lack of clarity. The most concerning part of this visit was that I had to repeat my "no" to at least five different staff members. Repeating myself this many times should never be necessary in a medical environment. The root canal itself is already an anxiety-provoking procedure, yet the staff made the experience significantly worse by failing to inform me clearly, failing to respect my decisions, and failing to prioritize my comfort, understanding, and safety. I ultimately completed the root canal without Nitrous Oxide, but no patient should endure 40 minutes of feeling anxious, unsafe, unheard, and pressured. Even when I offered to reschedule or return on another day, I was discouraged from leaving. My right to withdraw consent or postpone treatment was not respected, and that is deeply troubling. I proceeded to complete my treatment with the root canal using local anesthesia and made the payment as fast as I could then left. I advise prospective patients to review recent experiences carefully before choosing this office. High ratings can be misleading, and the newer reviews reflect concerns that closely align with what I experienced. No patient should leave a dental office feeling dismissed, pressured, or distressed. I had an emergency throbbing in my mouth and was so tempted to go just anywhere, and then I decided to read reviews first,! and decided that's not a good choice to go to their place. and they wouldn't take my insurance. they said they didn't accept it. Very frustrating. I had set a 2pm appointment and they called me 2 days prior to ask if I could be moved to 12pm instead so I said sure. I got there at 11:45 & waited until 12:20pm till they called me back. Did x-rays and sent me to the back room. Dr came in and checked my teeth. She then asked me if I wanted a cleaning.... When that's the literal reason why I was there. It took them another 45 minutes of me waiting for them to clean my teeth which took 5 minutes. I will say my teeth look very clean now but it's not worth the wait. I felt very dismissed as a patient. I had a little discoloration that my previous dentist could fix for only a few hundred but they tried to get me an entire crown and pay $1,500. Not a great dentist and will not be coming back. Clovis Crossing Dental Group didn't tell me when we were getting the crown that they were quoting the most expensive thing and then insurance wouldn't cover it then come to find out from insurance after we needed an emergency crown that it was covered and the office manager at Clovis crossing said that it wasn't covered because of the high-end crown and they never went over that and I was there talking with them about why it wasn't covered and what we can do. First of all let me tell you, my experience walking in. The receptionist was nice and professional. Going back to the room, I met a very nice assistant, Brenda who was also professional and with a nice smile. I felt like I've been a client for many years. Before Doctor Soool came in, I met his Jaime assistant, Jaime. I also felt very comfortable and warm with a blanket. Jaime tucked in just like a bug in a rug lol. He needs the staff are all human friendly, kind, professional and great sense of humor. I recommend this endodontist to everyone who needs to have anything done for your teeth. The dentist were excellent and I did like them a lot. I was happy with the work that was done and the quickness. I was quoted $2000 and I ended up paying close to $2500. Not sure why maybe taxes?? And they charged me deposit in case I canceled the appointment but I didn't. The lady at the front desk told me that once I got to the appointment, they would apply the deposit with my cost, but they didn't.... I will be calling Monday. Update! Still haven't been refunded the deposit and I'm having to chase them for answers... it's been since December 4... all they said is manager has to approve it. Went in for regular check up and was told that I needed deep cleaning and that it would cost me almost 1000 dollars out of pocket. I couldn't afford that, so I asked if I could at least get the basic cleaning and the lady refused and told me to "call back when I could afford it". Update: I looked into my coverage, and my insurance should have covered 80-90% of this service if it were needed. I guess they didn't feel like billing the insurance? Or they charge so much that 10-20% still comes out to $1000. I would like to believe that a dentist wouldn't be trying to charge 10,000 for a cleaning, so I'm guessing it was just not wanting to bill my insurance. Second update: I've been going to a new dentist for the past year, and was told everything looks great and there is no indication of deep cleaning even being needed. read more

It was a great experience with Dr. Suramya Sharma. She is personable and made me feel comfortable. She explained everything about my teeth, gums and overall oral health very properly. She gave me a solid plan of treatment and follow up recommendations. SYSTEMIC SCAM ARTISTS. My biggest regret is not reading Clovis Crossing's Google and Yelp reviews prior to my appointment. It is obvious that they have been scamming insurance companies and patients for 5+ years. I don't understand how this place is still in business as they are unethical and dishonest. I could go on and on about my horrible experience but I'll save you the trouble by summarizing their tactics: 1. Insurance misinformation - The doctors and admin staff will lie to you about your insurance coverage so that they can charge you more out of pocket. 2. Upsell unnecessary treatment - After they've convinced you that your insurance doesn't cover treatment, they will upsell you on services. "Since you're already paying $900 out of pocket for this service, for only $200 more we can upgrade your material." 3. Phantom billing - Once you agree to their treatment plan, they will bill your insurance for services they did not perform. 4. Deny, deflect, avoid - They will deny any wrongdoing. If you file a complaint with your insurance they will deflect the insurance findings and gaslight you into believing that their practice is right. They will avoid your calls and send you to collections, despite any of your attempts at rectifying the situation. If you are a victim of Clovis Crossing's scam tactics I encourage you to file a grievance with your insurance. Clovis Crossing attempted to charge me $900 for a crown but I submitted the claim to my insurance for review and found I only owed $410. Upon further review they found various charges for services that were not rendered. I have reached out to Clovis Crossing multiple times so that we may address the situation and they continue to tell me that "someone will call me back." Maybe someone from their office will finally call me back once they read this review. read more

I finally have a fantastic dentist Dr. Sharma Kept me comfortable, was very informative of the process and prepping me for the root canal every step of the way and post root canal. Next.... Then there's Dr. Amstel who performed the root canal.. What an amazing doctor from my past never had I experience a smooth, painless professional procedure. he gets you in and out in timely manner. And at the end of it they told me I needed to wait another hour for basic cleaning. Completely ridiculous and unprofessional. Dr. Anstey was very unprofessional and got upset because I declined the Inhalation of Nitrous Oxide for an additional $185. He said it was a process he uses for success. My root canal was a success without it. He used the analogy of baking a cake and needing certain ingredients. Not all cakes have to have sprinkles or frosting to taste good. Going to the dentist is stressful enough, but dealing with a dishonest practice makes it even worse. I went in for a free annual cleaning, only to be pressured into purchasing over $600 worth of additional treatments. It felt more like a car dealership than a dental office--seriously, add-ons? The dental hygienist even offered me her employee discount on the extra services, which made me suspect they might be receiving a commission or kickback for pushing these treatments (like laser therapy and antibacterial washes). TL:DR RUN I was completely ignored on what I had scheduled the appointment for. When scheduling the appointment, the staff was told I would be coming in for an extraction. When I came in for the appointment, I reiterated this point. I addressed this point with the dentist as well as the X-ray tech. After I declined the outrageously priced cleaning (800+) as well as all the other dental work that was deemed necessary by the dental staff. I stated that I came in for an extraction and would just like to do that. The lady doing the billing got up and said that, "Well we're not doing the extraction today" and proceeded to walk back towards her desk. At no point was I told they were not able to do an extraction, definitely not when they were trying to charge me a disgusting amount of money. In result to these visits I would have to pay about $800 out of pocket aside from using my insurance. I took my child for a second opinion to a much nicer office. They told me that my son had no cavities at all only potential cavities. All he had to do was take better care of his teeth to reverse the problem. This is a money hungry dentist. I went to Clovis Crossing for a simple cleaning. They took a whole lot of X-Rays which I thought was normal. After they sent a dental hygienist in to "measure gums". They told me that I needed a deep cleaning and needed to put two crowns on my two front teeth which were cavity free and straight and no pain or discomfort whatsoever. They billed my insurance company for everything they could while doing as little as possible. I left the office with over an $8000.00 treatment plan and they did not even clean my teeth which I pay insurance for preventive maintenance. I paid another office $95.00 out of pocket, even though I have dental insurance and routine cleanings are provided. The dental Hygienist that cleaned my teeth, also works as a Dental Hygienist Instructor at Fresno City College, and she said that a deep cleaning definitely was NOT necessary or required. This day and age where everything is ridiculously expensive, do yourself and/or your family a favor and find an honest dentist, you won't at Clovis Crossing. I dropped them as my provider, and hopefully this post will help honest hard working people from getting fleeced. read more

If I could post a 0/5 stars, I would. I went in for a dental cleaning and x-rays here about a year ago, after not seeing a dentist for about 1.5 years and mind you I have prior dentist trauma with some complicated dental history. They took this and ran with it by charging me for a "deep cleaning" on top of what my insurance already covered for a regular cleaning and x-rays. They then proceeded to tell me I had gum recession and bone loss, at which point I was obviously very upset (for reference I was only in my mid twenties at this time). To top it all off, they tried to sell me a laser treatment for my apparent gum disease. Now a year later, I've found out today from my normal dentist back home that none of this is true and I've been living with this anxiety that my mouth health is worse than it actually is since then. What a traumatizing experience that I hope to steer others away from having to go through! If you do happen to go to them, just keep in mind that they will probably try to upsell you. There is no need to pay extra for a deep cleaning or laser treatment for your gums that doesn't have lasting benefits! First off my first impression the man at the front is rude... I let it go thinking maybe just stressed with holidays who knows. I tried to brush it off. But then he was also rude to his other staff the next time I went in. My son needed a cap on his tooth so we got that done. The cap is causing pain and apparently now they can't fix it because the pediatric dentist quit last week. So now he has pain and I am calling around everywhere trying to get him in somewhere to get this cap fixed that this dentist office did. You bet I'll be fighting for my money back regarding this. I use to get serviced at Smile Dental on Herndon and 99 plaza but my beloved Dentist moved to Clovis Crossing which is like 5 minutes away from where I live. Both facilities have the same exact set up so it feels like the same Company but a different branch name. Anywho, I arrived and I was greeted instantly and then I filled out the necessary paper work as I was viewed as a new client. I requested the same Dentist from my previous dentist as she is great, kind and awesome. She was happy to see me as I was happy to see her. I informed her that her old office did not let me know she left and scheduled me in to a new dentist with out even calling me or updating me on such huge changes! So I was happy that Clovis Crossing was accepting new patients. Very clean and friendly: Staff was helpful and friendly. Unlike the other location no tv time while you wait which I liked at the other location as they made it very comfortable for you. I felt very comfortable here and The Dental assistant was confused on how I knew this particular dentist and Dr. explained that I saw her at the old location where she was. Overall, I had a lovely experience and will continue to keep coming back to see her. The location is perfect as it is right next to BevMo and a bunch of food places and shopping. The most disgusting behavior from a professional entity I have ever incurred. The front desk, Yvette (sp?) in particular, has the worst attitude for representing at first contact, both on the phone and in person. Be sure to get EVERYTHING in writing and signed, because if they choose to back out of something they initially stated, you are out of luck. Also, check the dentist history...it's there for a reason. The turnover rate in this particular office is super high!! Because the dentist who performed my work was no longer a partner in the business, their suggestion was that I contact him to resolve the crown that completely fell off, or that they could redo the dental work at full price, this only after a full exam at full price has been done. The gentleman at the front desk will try to sell you expensive crowns and services not covered by your insurance and not provide you with a written estimate before your procedure. They are not above having you sign additional paperwork while under nitrous oxide. This happened to my husband. If you have 2-3 hours to wait, this dentist is great. As long as you're unemployed and have no place to be, this is a fine dentist to go to. This is my second appointment where I've had to wait past my appointment time to see the doctor by a significant amount of time. This time I called ahead to see if I can check in before leaving work, I was told no. I asked if I can come to my appointment late since they said there was a 45 minute wait. They said no. What is the point of having an appointment? I learned my lesson from my first appointment where I had to wait over an hour and a half and no one ever saw me. At this point, I'm looking for recommendations for a good dentist who can take an appointment relatively on time (I don't mind a 15 min wait or so). Let me know if you guys know anyone! read more

Received a confirmation email that said 6am, I tried to call to check on that, recording says with other patients, 30 mins hold, I hung up. Anyway, I am there at 6am, no one shows up until 7:10am. For them to tell me my appointment is not until 8:15am because Ashley does not come in until 8am. My original appointment card that they wrote out says 7:30am. This service is ridiculous. This has happened 3 times in a row for every cleaning. Once the day was completely off. The wait is about 2 hours at minimum. They always overcharge for procedures that are covered by the insurance. You should always question the price since they don't look at your full insurance coverage and only look at the first amount. the back clinic staff are nice , but the front staff are under trained and they have no real billing manager. The worst that happened to me here was a dentist that, for sure, English was his second language, filled a dead tooth. Went back after the guy did his work and the English speaking lady dentist asked why I had a recent filled dead tooth. Ha, because the crazy dentist that I could not understand AT ALL, due to his language skills filled it. They wanted to do a root canal, but I said, it's killing me, pain wise. Pull it! The bonus was they did not charge me to pull that tooth. Also, EVERY visit they would "find" a cavity. Pretty suspicious since at the place I go now, I get.....looking good. All is good. I came to Clovis Crossing with massive anxiety from prior dental trauma. Everyone has been amazing, they take their time, explain things to me and understand if I need a break. Dr. Sood is professional with a funny and understanding demenor, creating a calming atomosphere and he makes sure things are done right. The Hygienist, Miranda Her, was SO sweet with me. I was dealing with major allergies at the time of my deep cleaning and accidentally swallowed some of the numbing swish, making it hard for me to deal with my allergies. She was so sweet and gave me time to sit up, take a min and give me options to help and everything was smooth sailing after that. She got off staining I didn't think anyone could, my teeth feel amazing! Even the people at the front desk explain things to me and treat each patient like they are a friend or family member, making you feel safe! Highly recommend this place! read more
