They aren't good. The hygienist (a shrew of a human) gave me some cock-n-bull story about how I needed deep periodontal cleaning, which would require a full mouth numbing, and antibiotics for $1000 BEFORE the dentist would do any work. The dentist, barely spoke English. No personality. Very dry. Didn't answer questions. I paid them for 2 X-rays bc they had a deal. I'm currently trying to learn if I still have that deal, and if I can schedule or get a refund. I've already called once, and left a message. An hour later, I called again, and got a woman, who immediately put me on hold... For 12 minutes before my call disconnected. I called back, and left another voicemail. (Edit: I drive to them to inquire about the "Plan" I paid for. The Reception was clearly busy, so I forgave my call drop. She also clarified my plan, and answered some important questions for me. I appreciated that. I gave back 2 stars, but my score remains 3 because I had to go to the office in person.) read more

I've been here twice. Deep clean, then a regular cleaning. The older lady cleaning your teeth doesn't get your teeth clean AT ALL!! She doesn't spend enough time cleaning. I never saw the dentist, even after xrays. I know I have to have cavities; it was my first visit to the dentist in years! They seem to do the bare minimum. read more

I don't get the bad reviews. I was a regular patient a number of years ago and had great service with Dr. Cuenca & staff until other priorities forced me to put dental visits on a back burner. Just started back this December...Had to get re-established with x-rays, & a deep clean. I opted to forego numbing and didn't have any problems with pain. The hygienist (Marissa?) was good, the dentist (didn't catch his name) said I didn't need any work (early Christmas surprise), so I'm just down for cleanings every few months. TERRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! DO NOT GO THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, Ashley has DISGUSTING customer service.... She's rude, she won't tell the doctor I called, Erica cursed me out and scheduled me on a day they weren't even opened and I live 2 hours away, I am also a disabled person who has bone sensitivity and I told the doctor this. The first year of my braces services they kept having assistants work in my mouth to never do it right, I had to continue to return to the office a day after or a couple of days after- a week after to fix what they did.... Not doing the bands right or not doing the wires where they don't slide out and poke me in the mouth cutting and wounding me continuously or having to constantly redo bands because they couldn't put them in the right way, and tried to take their time to get my teeth treatment period to run out to inform me now that they want to charge me 100 dollars every visit even after being paid about 6000 in full. When I asked the orthodontist when I could've taken them out he told me I could've had them off already so I asked for them to come off and he told me he just maybe want 3 more months - 6 months to have them perfect and that he would talk to Ashley the office manager about not having me come out of pocket to finish when I wanted was to have them come off and get my retainer..... I am a understanding person. It's expected that every doctors appointment they may be behind but it's been an hour since my actual appointment time and I haven't been seen yet. There's not many patients due to covid-19 so I'm not sure what the holdup is. The Dr. Was straightforward with the tooth problem however came off very rude. Obviously when people are at the dentist they're in pain or in need is some kind of treatment. The Dr should have some kind of empathy and bedside manner to patients. This Dr. was not. He actually made me feel like the reason for my tooth pain is my fault. Nothing extraordinary or great here. The experience really was in and out with no personality. Rude staff and poor service. They put me into a chair for my cleaning and I waited for an hour.

DO NOT GO HERE I went as a first time patient three months ago. The attitude of the receptionist and dental hygienist was terrible. The dentist told me my teeth look perfectly healthy. Fast forward to now, I decided I didn't like the attitude and wanted to find another dentist. I found another one and went there because I suddenly developed a tooth sensitivity. My new dentist told me I have MULTIPLE cavities on both sides of my mouth top and bottom! She asked me where I went before and I told her Bright Now and she said " let me just say...you're not alone" On top of everything they are hard to contact and never sent my new dentist my x-rays even though I went in a signed a release form. Waited over an hour an half just for the doctor to tell me it was too late and they couldn't do work that my appointment was booked for. Please do not schedule anything after 3:00pm. They'll make you wait and tell you they can't do any work because it's time to go home. read more

Do not visit this place ever, receptionist (Maria) was super rude. I showed and waited for them to take my temperature, followed procedure. I'm a happy returning customer, but my cap fell off this morning and needed advice on what to do next. I work across the street and this place is very convenient to me, so I just drove over. Let me explain to you. But let me go into price by piece. Front desk staff: i have never had a bad experience but something the irks me is that in order to enter the building, you must have your tempt checked. Not only was there two women sitting at computers not helping anyone... but the lady who helped me was one that came from behind a wall. Mind you I was standing there for 4 min... not long, huh? But when you are able body employees who acknowledge you are there bc they can see you... but don't do anything... well it can be upsetting. What makes it even worst is that another lady, she was white, came up and was waiting and one of the lady's that was at the computer that i was talking about (ponytail), she got her ass up and helped her. Soo im irritated mindly.... Back room: . I had to tell the RD that I came back for post op which was on the paperwork I had to sign. This was supposed to start my journey in getting a implant... but guess what... she fiddled through my patient paperwork unaware of anything. I had to tell her why I was here The past two times I was here, I had a bad vibe. Like they don't really do well in customer service and the dentist was a bit short with me and looked at me all crazy at times( yes even behind a mask) As a black woman in America, I haven't to be more careful of peoples biases and their prejudice bc they will take my money and leave me messed up. It is scary that even if I have the money, I can still run the risk of a nasty person. I'm getting a estimate and seeking a dentistry that act like they care about you. Even if it's fake... sell the service and the bed side manner- that's how you create patients who come back. Dentistry is kinda like nail salons. I went for a checkup and was told my teeth were in excellent shape. I wanted to get my teeth cleaned and polished. Bright Now insisted I have the more expensive, painful "deep cleaning" before they would do an ordinary cleaning and polish. Of course, they make more money on a deep cleaning. She wanted to know if they could address any issue I had... wouldn't that be something you would Of already addressed since there are so many negative reviews? Don't bother giving them your business unless you enjoy being constantly misquoted, having your payment methods be switched at the last minute, and incredibly rude customer service from reception/finance. My wife and I had been going to this Brightnow in Clovis for about 5 years. Their dentist left for whatever reason and they basically had to shut down operations while they were looking for a new dentist. Our experience had been good until the last half year. First my wife went in to have her chipped front tooth bonded which she has had done before. They took X-rays and told my wife that she had cavities in both her front teeth and they needed to be crowned. That didn't sound right to us so we sought a second opinion. Sure enough a different dentist said that she didn't have cavities and repaired her tooth on the spot. We had to pay out of pocket but it was worth it not to have my wife's two front teeth capped needlessly. Then later I had to have a crown replaced and was quoted $833 for the new crown. I said that last time I got a crown that it was @ $500 but was told that crown prices were higher now due to inflation. Luckily I called my insurance. As it turns out they were trying to charge me an extra $300 lab fee that my insurance said shouldn't apply. I informed them what my insurance said and they admitted that I was right and my fee was only $533. So if I didn't make the call I would've been out an extra $300. We felt like we could no longer trust this dental office and have changed dentists. read more

Our whole experience was good everyone was so patient with my son & kind, dentist & nurse explained everything so we could both understand. Dentist was very attentive to his pain level & making sure he was comfortable all the way thru his procedures. Even when we got home I was worried about the bleeding the nurse and doctor both spoke to me and was very reassuring and comforting. I believe our family found a new dentist. read more

I would never recommend this office to my worst enemy. I needed a new provider, and this office was taking new patients. I had a terrible toothache but they told me to come back in 2 weeks (this was in April). The toothache got worse & on a Saturday morning, instead of driving to LA for a concert, I'm calling all emergency dentists because the tooth ended up abscessing & I needed it cleared out. Then, later this summer, my son was assigned to them & when I called them to request a referral to his pediatric dentist, the receptionist was beyond rude and disrespectful to me. She openly admitted that the only dentist they had retired back in July, so I asked why no letter or email was sent out and that made her even more cranky. I found out a few weeks later that this was not the first time that this had happened and that they did something similar back in 2015. I filed a formal complaint with my dental insurance and that grievance is now in process. read more

The dentist was really matter of fact when he explained what he found but was very kind through my whole procedure and told me what he was doing every step of the way. I wasn't completely amazed by my appt I had. I came in for a clipped tooth and a normal cleaning....was there for TWO hours and only got X-rays, a consult on braces and was told how bad my teeth were and I needed more crowns...when I asked for the teeth cleaning, the gal told me that I needed a deep cleaning and there was only ONE dental hygienist that does that and they were booked for the day, I wish I was giving an option and was told that when I waited in the room for more than an hour, I was on a lunch break thinking it would take me maybe an hour or so, but I left pretty frustrated. The orthodontist was really nice, he broke it down to me and very personable and I would def go back to Him when I need braces but too bad he's in the same office. it just too bad that they other dentist was exactly the nicest. I felt like he talked down to me, instead of to me. Was asked if I grind my teeth at night and I told him yes but I'm asleep so I don't know when I am doing it, and he said ok well u know, so why haven't you done anything about it? Dont spend your money with an ungrateful business! Hearing about the rudeness of the receptionist that "helped" my daughter and wife today left me very disturbed. I have the sweetest wife and daughter that wouldnt ever treat anyone the way they were talked to at my daughters appointment today. So bad where my daughter walked out without any help with her impacted wisdom teeth that needs to be extracted immediately! I had a cavity taken care of they're in a crown put on and after several months the tooth was very painful and they just told me that I had to have a root canal and they have to drill into holes into the crown and take care of it. I asked the doctor for pain meds because I've been dealing with where we can have you first off the counter, which I have, which don't work and then I went to the dentist today and they told me the doctor said keep on taking over-the-counter but it doesn't address the issue can't eat can't sleep the pain is unbearable. It's the pulsating pain, throbbing pain and my appointment with a different referred out doctor dentist is not till the end of May , this is horrible to deal with and no compassion from this new dentist that's there. This place was horrible t hey overbook appointments regularly. The first time I took my kids there it was a 3:00pm appoinment and we sat until 4:00 pm before we were seen. At my appointment I was there before my appointment time and still sat for 30minutes before being seen. The hygentist was condescending to me and the dentist briefly looked at my x rays and sent me on my way. I would not recommend this place to anyone.How can I make an appt for a new dentist and never see one? Anyway..franchised dental clinic type business so you get what you pay for. They also will not do anywork unless you pay in full. Not sure about some of you, but when you take 4 kids to the dentist, I don't have the money to right then and there to get the cavities fixed. Thought I would give it a shot despite reviews on here. No shock- I waited 45 minutes to be taken in..even after arriving 15min early with my new patient paperwork already filled out. Xrays and xray tech went fine, then I was taken to the exam chair and things went bad from there. I was given gingivitis screen, then both technicians literally disappeared without telling me what I was waiting for. The doctor finally came by for an exam after a 45 min. wait, was kind of an arrogant asswipe, then left. I wasn't interested in spending another minute under their care and left without getting a cleaning. Avoid this place at all costs people- Don't be fooled! I've already switched to a different dentist...My time is too valuable to waste it ever again at this establishment. read more

Avoiding it. Words can't describe how bad this place is. The skinny short doctor dude there is full of it. Mean, rude, and nasty. When he worked on my crown, he didn't even numb me. He told me that if i feel any pain, let him know. I thought there was gonna be light pain only but nope, felt like someone just pulled my tooth. watch yourself if you go here. Like alot of business they will try to scam you. They told me they were giving me some sort of medication to my gum cause I need it..never mention anything about charging or anything. When I got done. ..bam. charged. The assistance to the main dentist told me they didn't do a good job on my Threeway crown so that I would get a free redo. Month later....she was nowhere to be found...and the main dentist dude told me my crown is perfectly fine.......which wasn't at all. Long overdue review! This is my first time here and they took pretty good care of me. I had 2 extractions and needed some dental work. I gave them a 4 because I had to come back and take more X-rays so my insurance would approve the dental request. Receptions ladies and Sergio was awesome! They made sure I knew what I was paying for what I was getting and walked me through the whole process. The dentist even came back around a twice time because I wasn't understanding my co pays. Everything turned out as I expected. I definitely recommend this place to friends and families, ofc only to those that have private insurance since I was told they don't take government insurance ( Blue Cross, Calviva etc) at the moment. read more

It hasn't gotten any better! Three times I've had appointments that were rescheduled including one where the hygienist/dentist was helping ANOTHER office so *I* had to be rescheduled - why wasn't the other office rescheduled if MY appointment was with in the main office? The most recent event - I had an appointment for a cleaning then was told that the office had to reschedule me. They couldn't get me in for a MONTH! Fine. New appointment made, confirmed the day before. Once AGAIN, the day OF (today), I get a call that something came up and my appointment has to be rescheduled. But they can't get me in for FIVE months!?!? Original appointment was in June, rescheduled for July, now they can't see me until November?!? What am I supposed to do? read more

Despite a lot of these reviews, i didn't have a bad time at this place. I was a new patient and it took me about an hour to be seen because they had to squeeze me in between patients since i didn't have an appointment. Understandable. Paperwork, figuring out my insurance, X-rays, exams, consult all took about maybe 3-4 hours. The main Dentist, Erick Cuenca, seems serious and a little rude. Doesn't really say much and is pretty blunt about what needed to be done. I don't exactly LOVE my dentist, but he's not that bad. I've honestly had worse when i had my son. So The Dr was not that bad. He's just seems tired and serious about his work. Asking how i was gooing to pay in full is understandable too. I wonder how many times people don't pay, or disappear. It's dental work, i walked in my first day and asked what was i expected to pay, and what had to be paid that day. It's not that hard to ask questions, you'd be surprised that you get.... wait for it... ANSWERS! Try to understand some people have off days, some places aren't gonna be the greatest. But all in all i didn't have a bad experience.. I had a wisdom tooth and broken tooth extracted and am having a bridge put in next month. I was numbed, they took their time and still finished in a quick time. And the receptionists at the front weren't bad either. They laughed and joked with me. And they helped a lot by putting an additional discount PLUS coupon on top of my total. All in all I'd go back. read more

worst customer experience ever I was supposed to get a referral to them to get my teeth extracted, and then the representative tells me to call back the day before my appointment to see if the referral went in and she tells me the insurance says that they never received a referral that she was supposed to send so then she tells me that before I can go to my appointment the next day I have to call the doctors to get my panel emailed to them I never heard of a place where they have the patient do all the work, but she has the audacity to act as if I'm choosing not to go the last thing that got me what she told me that I can go get a panel taken at her facility this morning before my 930 why couldn't she told me this yesterday so I'm not rushing early in the morning does she not know people have schedules? Good god!!!! If I can give a negative star rating I would!!! The so called girls in the front are super rude !!!! Always having their own conversations when people are waiting at the door and not letting us know wether or not they see us or not and just had us wait outside in the cold for 5 min before I yelled in the door and said " is someone gonna help us or u just gonna sit there and talk" and she finally came outside with attitude. I have been to this location for orthodontics since the age of 12. They have always been really sweet to me. When I had to come back to get my wisdom teeth out, I was nervous. I had read reviews and was a little nervous about rude employees, but they definitely were far from rude to me. The front desk was so sweet with booking and talking about the charges for my service. During my surgery, Dr. Cuenca was extremely sweet to me. I had a really hard time with anxiety, he gave me a few minutes to calm down, and he brought in Gretel who comforted me through the surgery. They allowed me to play music, and they hummed along to calm me down. They were AMAZING!! They walked me through the after care, and I couldn't be more happy with the service I received from them. There was also another gentleman who helped me out. Every single staff member I encountered was amazing at what they do. I highly recommend this location for all services! read more

My first visit was awesome, everyone was professional and the dentist I saw was very informative. I figured cool I found a new dentist as my old dentist retired and I was looking for a new one. I visit the dentist every 6 months for checkups and cleaning. I scheduled a second visit as a follow up and they ended up rescheduling my appointment. I was ok with that seeing as how they told me my dentist caught pneumonia and I totally understand. I rescheduled again with them and low and behold they call me the day of my appointment and said they would have to reschedule yet again. I was understanding figuring the dentist was still out sick. I scheduled a 3rd time and yet again they call me the day of and say they are sorry they would have to reschedule my appointment. This was the 3rd time trying to get back in. On my 4th attempt I show up 15 minutes early and end up waiting for 50 minutes before I walked up to the secretary to verify my appointment time. Apparently they forgot about me and apologized...I was beyond frustrated by this time and ended up walking out. I called and spoke with the office manager and expressed my frustration and of course she apologized and asked me to come back and they would fit me in. I told her not to bother as I would be looking for a new dentist. This has been the worst encounter I have ever had with a dentist office and I will NEVER go back. read more

Lowest rated Bright Now! Dental around town for a reason. Constant miscommunication, bookings are changed constantly at their discretion, and some employees can be extremely rude (not all, some are very nice and friendly). Either go to another location, or just find a new dentist. read more
