I have been coming to this office for years. I have horrible teeth and have since they grew in as a baby. I've had cleanings, extractions, fillings, root canals and crowns done here. When I first started coming they were smaller staffed and a little harder to get a hold of but now more staff and immediate answer or at least same day call back. I'm self conscious of my teeth and they have helped me without shaming me for my genetics. My daughter also had her wisdom teeth pulled here and she has major anxiety but they were awesome! I personally don't recommend going here. had 2 root canals done. One wasn't done right and the guy chipped my real tooth while drilling out the cavity. It got infected and they told me that I had broke it from the root and had to get it pulled out. I went to another dentist and they told me it's not broken and that it wasn't done right. So I had to get it pulled out. It came out whole. my other root canal I believe is getting infected they did not put the cap on correctly and its not fully sealed. Either way something ended up being wrong with both root canals and I wish I never came here. Because of them I'm missing one of my adult teeth and now I'm worried I'm going to have to get my other one removed as well. read more

I've been visiting K&H Dental for the past few months for extensive restorative work, and I think I've seen every doctor here at some point, Lojyn, Mohamed, Abdul, and Hyam! An incredibly kind family of dentists! They, along with their front staff and assistants, have been nothing but skilled, professional, and friendly. My teeth were in a very poor state for my age after some rough years medically and mentally, but I never once felt shame or judgment from anyone in the office. For a while I thought I'd end up in dentures, but now I can chew with my own teeth and confidently smile again! I had my teeth pulled out, and while the healing process went fine, my experience at the dentist was quite unsettling. During the numbing process, when the needle first was inserted, I felt an intense, agonizing pain that radiated to my eye, as if acid were dripping onto it. And as quickly as the pain had happened it suddenly stopped, but what was truly strange was that I involuntarily shed a tear from that eye almost instantly--so fast that I didn't even have time to process the moment. The dentist noticed and said patronizing, "Aww, did I make you cry?" This was after waiting for a young teenager next to me who was crying hysterically about her pain. Like is this dude liking the pain we are going through or what? When I returned for my bottom wisdom teeth removal, the process started smoothly. After numbing, the doctor began poking around the extraction site. When I nodded and clearly stated that it hurt, he abruptly yanked as hard as he could without any consideration. It baffled me--why ask if it hurts if you're not going to address it? After the first initial pull he asked again does this hurt. I said yea. Again I felt ignored when I told him again that it hurt. Cause nothing was done or said about it. Odd way of going about things but the job is done the wisdom teeth are indeed no longer there. I can't help but wonder if my treatment was affected by the fact that I was the only white person in the office or my background as a recovering addict. Regardless, I felt dehumanized, and that experience was certainly not acceptable. read more

I had a cavity and needed a root canal and was absolutely terrified but everyone from the second I walked through the front door went above and beyond to help me feel safe and comfortable. Pretty average experience. Our waits haven't been too long. This is a family owned dentist business. I've been treated by the mother dentist and she has always been very professional. The son on the other hand needs a bit of practice with the children. I always find unnecessary conversation unprofessional. I think some dentists might not have common sense but, how can I have a conversation with you if your hand is in my mouth??? Another thing is the front desk receptionists can be a little unwelcoming. A smile and "how can I help you?" should be a must if you're working with people. Small waiting area, they serve all ages, and you don't have separate rooms. You are able to see the next person over so just an FYI if you would prefer not getting work done next to another patient. They used to have great service, but recently, the past few visits have not been the greatest. The owner is always nice and welcoming, but her new staff are not very friendly. The ladies in the front office are rude, and their phone etiquette is horrible. I will be transferring my child to a new dental office to receive better service. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever had. The office manager and staff are complete disrespectful pieces of garbage. They are rude, put me on hold while I was speaking, and insisted that a procedure was done that would benefit the office monetarily but was not necessary per my referring dentist. The office manager did not return my call and I had to be the one to call back after six days. She was rude and completely unprofessional. I'm not sure of her name, but she has a tattoo on her face... The office staff is miserable. This practice should not be allowed to communicate with patients in such a demeaning and derogative way. Horrible, horrible, horrible place most importantly the dentist (Dr. Mohamed Kaou DDS) here at K&H Dental in Clovis very disrespectful, rude, careless. I do not recommend this dentist at all what so ever. My 16 yr old son had a root canal done in July 2022 and was sent home with antibiotics and still got an infection I went back so that he can take a look at it because my son was complaining of pain and a lump on his cheek where the root canal was done he did absolutely nothing about it and said he's okay I'll give him more antibiotics. So I took him back to United health so they can take a look at it and automatically doctor said this is really infected you need to get this root canal retreated so now I was referred to a different dentist because there was no way I was going to go back to K&H dental so I went elsewhere to get this tooth retreated and now this new dentist is referring him out for a full extraction his infection grew so much his face got swollen. So now because of K&H negligence my son is loosing his tooth and now will need an implant. If Mohammad Kaou would have paid attention to this the very first time I told him he was in pain and had a small lump my son wouldn't have lost his tooth it would have been saved by having that root canal retreated and when I told him about the lump and him in pain he said I will take a look at it and I stepped out of the room but when I got home my son said he did absolutely NOTHING not even check it. I decided to give K&H Dental another chance. OMG! This time, the outcome was worse than the first time!!! I wish that Yelp would let me give a negative number of stars! I went in for a routine cleaning and was informed that I had a cavity in a front tooth crown, and the dentist told me that I would probably need a root canal but she stated that they don't work on crowns placed by other dentists. She further said that I would have a hard time finding a dentist that would accept Calviva for the work I needed. This made me extremely anxious because I didn't want a root canal, especially on my front tooth. Then, when I got my cleaning, it lasted maybe 5 minutes...that's it! My teeth were barely cleaned! So, I went to another dentist to check out my teeth. Not only did they tell me that I didn't need a root canal which was a relief, but they found 3 cavities that were not seen by the K&H dentist! They took pictures of the cavities (in addition to xrays) and they showed me the pics, and it was CLEARLY obvious that they were cavities! How did K&H not see them?!!! read more

First of I would like to say how friendly the staff was. They made me feel welcome as soon as walking in, only downside was having to wait so long, but I guess it's understandable knowing they take their time doing a procedure. I'm not the most patient person but they have a t.v for you to watch so it helped. I did schedule my child for an appointment and I'm thankful for them making her feel very comfortable. Best dentist in town! As I mentioned before, I am very picky when it comes to dentists because it's painful and scary. However, walking into their office made me feel like home. They are a local family business which I really appreciate. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I didn't wait more than two minutes before starting my procedure. I went there for teeth whitening and the results were amazing! Their prices are very affordable as well. Also, they are awesome with kids! During my procedure, there was two children seen in the next room, and I could hear them fearful and crying which broke my heart. But I was impressed by how the staff handled the little kids; cheering them up, and controlling their fears during the procedures they were getting done. I went into K&H Dental group for a simple filling Monday 9/23/2019, now mind you I am an established patient. I came home with a hole in my lower lip and a blood blister, I still have pain and swelling. I felt the drill on my lip during the drilling but they said your alright, your alright and continued. When I got home I felt some drool and wiped my mouth, to my surprise there was blood. I then went in the bathroom and saw the hole. Needless to say I will not be returning to that dentist again. This review is not due to their services, but more towards their professionalism. K and H overcharged me and charged me up front for a procedure, that my insurance ended up covering. At first, K and H was stating that there were some dental codes that were not entered correctly and that my insurance would make those adjustments and no refund was necessary. I filed a claim with my insurance and K and H had a deadline to input those codes in for verification. It's been over a year and I have not received a refund, let alone a call back on how I'm doing or if my dentures are giving me any problems. I have gone into the clinic and gave them copies of the letter stating they owe me a refund and they still have not processed my refund. This isn't a couple hundred dollars either.... read more

I felt everything while getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. he told me to raise my hand if I felt pain & I kept raising it & he gave me more medicine but didn't wait for it to kick in, he kept pulling. I asked if I could keep my teeth & the dr told me no. I asked if they can prescribe me better pain medicine besides IBUPROFEN they told me no. This office is horrible, they didn't tell me how the procedure was gonna go, what they were gonna do to me, NOTHING. LITERALLY NOTHING. im a medical assistant, we're supposed to let the patients know what the procedure will b. we're supposed to disinfect the areas etc. He was super rude, they made me stand up right after they were finished, they didn't sedate me like I requested them to. This was my first time taking my daughter to this dentist. From the moment I walked in, the waiting area is clean and even has a water/coffee bar area which is always a nice convenience. The receptionist was very nice as well, I forgot my ID and insurance card (just one of those days) and she allowed me to come back and keep my appt. The dentist herself was so kind to my daughter and gentle. They had Netflix for the kids to watch during their cleaning which was so awesome since she was able to relax more. We were in and out within 30minutes at least I'd say. It was very reasonable especially because I was expecting to wait a long time since I had to go back home and grab my insurance card. The female dentist even made sure to make sure my little one had her goodies to take home and said goodbye. It's so rare that you find happy people at work going above and beyond for their patients to provide a WOW experience. I'm so happy we found this dentist and my daughter will be in good hands!
