When I originally looked on my dental insurance website, it was not giving me their office an option. I'm really glad I looked into it because they are amazing, and it turned out they did accept my insurance. Modern Dentistry is a perfect description for this place. Their website is user friendly, you can book everything online, and fill out all your health questionnaires through it as well, leaving less time sitting in the waiting room! Also, they have some later office hours for those working folks who need a later appointment. And this millennial loves the option to book or change appointments online, and I know I'm not the only one. The office is very new, and they have all the top of the line equipment! Besides just the ease of technology, the office staff is amazing, and Dr. Rigor is top notch, don't let his age fool you, he's THE BEST DENTIST I'VE EVER HAD. Dr. Rigor is very friendly, thorough in explaining everything in detail.. he will even pull up Google and show you images to better explain something. I ended up needing a crown on my first visit, and did it all in house. I left with a "new tooth" that same day. And he guarantees it if anything were to go wrong, which was just a bonus in my opinion. He listened if I told him I needed more numbing. There was absolutely no hesitation to make me comfortable. I have heard horror stories from people not having that same experience so I thought I should note that. And when he tells you call me if you have ANY issues he means it. I had a little bit of pain the next day and thought it was infected, so I called and they got me right in. He took one look at it and knew it was ulcers (don't quote me I'm not a doctor) said he could zap them with the laser and the pain and symptoms would go away within a day, so he did and he was right the pain and symptoms went away. And while I was there I told him the crown felt a little "long" so he quickly shaved it down (completely painless) and I was in and out in just a few minutes. Also, the Dental Hygienist, Rebecca, will make you feel completely at ease, and like you've been best friends forever! Thought it was also important to note the office staff went over my cost, and options of cost BEFORE we proceeded with my crown. So I wasn't just stuck with a bill with no clue my options or how much everything would cost. And I believe for the care I received it was worth the money. I have already referred them to people who ask, and my husband also now goes there and is also happy with them. I know this is a lot to say about a dentists office, but these are things that would be important to me to know when looking for one!

I was told to bring my card, then they refused a refund and told me they applied it to an unrelated insurance matter. My insurance confirmed the office must follow up directly, but they haven't. They never used to require deposits, and the attitude I encountered was disappointing and unlike past experiences. Sadly, my long-standing relationship with this office has ended over this issue. Update: the root canal was quoted 2.5 hours to which you have to pay to get your crown same day (wow - should come with the procedure seeing as it's their standard process. They're not doing anything special), they quoted 2.5 hours. My new dentist had me in and out in exactly 1 hour. The crown gets placed today and it will take 15 minutes for a total of 1.25 hours vs Clovis Family dental needing 2.5 hours.

Just to be clear I do have dental insurance and actually have supplemental dental insurance through USAA. I called my insurance companies and confirmed the dental plan that I had. I called back again. It has been two weeks since I called and I never called back. Ended up going back to a previous dentist who got me in right away and I will post a review on them. This review is not for their dental service, but the fact that their office staff doesn't even take the time to ask why are you calling and is there anything we can help you with. After explaining that a crown is needed he got to work preparing the tooth to accept the crown. Assisted by a wonderful young lady Ayannah they numbed me up and before I knew it Ayannah was making a temporary crown right there next to me. After a few adjustments she glued the temp in place like she's been doing it for 20 years. Everyone who worked on me today was very professional and made me feel as if I was in the best hands. After today I know Dr Kawano and his awesome assistants like Ayannah and his Son Derek (who shares the practice) are at the top of their field. Crazy Bernie is now a HUGE fan of Kawano Dental!!!

Very quickly, they started calling to cancel my appointments until eventually I came in one time and they said sorry you've missed too many appointments and we don't want to accept you anymore as a patient. They had entirely faked all the paperwork, giving me calls and then on paper making it seem like I didn't show up. They seem to be upset that they accept certain insurances and don't wanna pay out on it. Cheap and immoral.

It started the night a veneer fell off, front and center of my smile, the night before flying out for an important event the next morning. Panicked, I reached out to Dr. Ohanesian and to my amazement, he texted me back (at 11PM!) and had me come in before normal working hours in order to squeeze me in. He completely saved the day! I just went back to take care of a couple of things and just can't say enough regarding how kind, patient, compassionate, funny, and what a great dentist he is. Making a living is of course important, but he is clearly not in it just for the money. This man clearly loves what he does. He has integrity. He encourages saving teeth when possible instead of more profitable alternatives, goes at your pace financially, and is super respectful --He goes above and beyond to best serve his patients, and every member of his staff is equally nice!
