The food area needs ice under all the cold cuts and cheeses and fresh fruits. I was glad to see there was hot pans for the hot food at least. Located between gates G2 and G3, this United Club lounge is surprisingly modern and well-maintained. The main lounge area stretches down a long corridor, lined on both sides with comfortable armchairs and accented by large windows overlooking the tarmac. Perfect for a bit of quiet plane watching. Tucked away at the far end is a small bar area with a handful of round tables and seating for about six at the bar. Complimentary house wine and rail cocktails are available, making it a nice spot to unwind before a flight. Food offerings are nothing to write home about but there were some local flavors like Kalua pork, miso soup and dole whip. We visited during the red-eye window, so the lounge was nearly empty, quiet. But I can imagine it being more crowded during the day. Friendly staff all around. Pretty chill place to hang before boarding. read more

The lounge itself was quite nice and you had a great view of the sun setting one last time before leaving paradise. The food was better than other United lounges I've been to and had a great Hawaiian twist to it. They even had Kalua pork, rice, and dole whip. Lots of seating and chargers were available for you to relax and chill in. I love a good airport club. This one was not anything to brag about, I really was excited to go because they serve Dole whip. Getting in was a breeze, the lady at the front desk was very nice. Cleanup crew was definitely on it, and the bartender was very friendly. Though I could've used Self serve on the drinks instead of having to get soda from the bartender. I was not hungry when I went so I didn't eat much of the food, I ate fruit. When I first perused the buffet line, the Dole machine was down, talk about panic mode! Cause what the fck! I was about to have a cow until I said something to the bartender and she said oh it's probably just making the whip. Girl say less and thank you! All of that, and when the machine was back up, I was disappointed it wasn't even that good! It paled in comparison to the actual Dole plantation's version. OK fine, I didn't really need it anyway. The united club was quiet and had a nice vibe. I was able to chill there for a couple of hours before my flight, relax and not be bothered by the peasants waiting at the gate lmaoooo and at the end of the day that is what matters most. read more

The food could be at best considered light bites and more like light snacks. My sweet tooth did enjoy the sugary treats that you pull from a bin. Service is definitely with a smile. I had the opportunity to rest and relax at the United Club lounge in the HNL airport a few months back. Entrance is straightforward with the check-in process the same as any United Club lounge. The space is pretty large and seating is nicely spread out so you don't feel crowded in, unlike the United lounge in San Francisco, which is far more dense with people. Keep in mind the Club lounges are a lower tier than their Polaris lounges, which is located in only select airports for long haul flights. The food, drinks are all decent but nothing stood out for me. I ended up snacking on carrot sticks. The real value here is a quiet spacious area to relax before you flight home. read more

It's a below average United Club. The front desk person was unenthusiastic. Surprisingly crowded for a relatively small terminal. The bathrooms look several decades old. Lounge decor is a bit dated. Buffet was limited but the teriyaki meatballs were surprisingly good. A positive aspect is that the staff is quick to clean up tables once guests have left thus minimizing dead space. No outlets at the bar to charge phones, etc. The bartender was very nice but literally did not know how to make a martini. I talked her through it only to discover there were no lemons at the bar for a twist. read more

A bit of a dated lounge but the staff seemed to make it work. The ladies running the bar were friendly and busy. Conveniently located right above the G2-G3 gates. It got a bit crowded pretty quickly but I was able to find a seat at the bar. I could see it being difficult to find seating with parties greater than one. The seating is pretty wide open so don't expect to find a quiet corner to tuck away into. The food is mediocre but convenient if you want a quick bite. Nothing to write home about but I did enjoy a Hawaiian sweet roll with some kalua pork. Typical cheese and deli meats, fruit, Kalua sliders and somen salad and soups. The dole whip seems to be the star here as I noticed everyone enjoying some. I had United Club passes through my Explorer CC and decided to use them in HNL. My husband and I arrived a few hours prior to our flight. Luckily the lounge is near the G2 gate where we were flying out of so we did not need to wander too far. I had to wait for my husband to make it to the lounge. I have GE so I got through security fairly quickly whereas, he was meandering through the regular line. I did have a fun chat with the staff at the front desk who sympathized with my travel partner woes. He made it to the lounge and we were both scanned in. We found seating immediately and plunked our luggage down. We went to the bar to grab some beverages and went to town in the hot/cold food section. I liked the meatballs and noodles. I noted the miso soup station. I saw their dessert station but was excited to see their Dole Whip dispenser. I finally got some Dole Whip in Hawaii, albeit at the airport! Shoutout to the bartender who also took pity on me and poured lighter drinks for hubs because I did not need a sloppy travel partner either. read more

I truly dislike leaving one star reviews, and try to avoid it whenever possible.... but unfortunately, this particular United Lounge requires attention. This is the most unappealing club lounge that we have ever visited, and we would absolutely not return unless several changes took place. When we arrived, we noted that far too many tables were left un-bussed. This made finding a place to sit difficult, and we were traveling with an elderly, disabled person. The food choices were *subpar. The buffet and surrounding area unclean. The fruit and salad selections looked wilted and dried out - but what made this far less appetizing was the gnats, (or some species of fly), that were flitting around and landing on the food. Aside from the Dole Whip, we opted not to partake. The women's bathroom was gross. Two sinks contained toothpaste residue and hair. The trashcan was overflowing with paper towels. The floor was sticky. Aside from the Dole Whip, this particular United Club did *not offer a positive experience. read more

They really stepped up the offerings here after the pandemic, did a little remodeling as well. Gone are the rattan type dining table and chairs. Now it's in line with the other clubs furniture. The setup for the food is now in a bigger area with fruits, salads, cheese, soups, rice and furikake , cup of noodle, and hot dishes such as kalua pig and teriyaki meatballs. On the ends of the buffet, they have cookies, cakes. Lemon bars, brownies . On the other end there is rainbow popcorn, one has mochi crunch in it. Nuts, and some other small snack. The highlight of this club is the dole whip. Self serve and as.much as you want. I've only been in the club in the afternoons and evenings, and I think they offer the same foods. I hate to leave this review, I really do. I had high hopes for this lunge while I'm waiting two hours for my flight to Phoenix. I'll preface with saying I have never flown united or been in any of their lounges. Traditionally I fly Delta which means I'm in their lounge as well. I'm not comparing the two, just stating the facts. The wahine at the front reception was extremely kind and we chatted a bit. The lunge itself was dirty, food bits needing vacuumed from the carpet, food left by patrons that needed to be cleared and a disappointing food buffet. The glass tables are smudged and smeared and I guess I should say the cleaning crew is overdue. The food buffet is extremely small and extremely empty. Im completely under whelmed. Solid 3 Stars Space was a bit cramped when we got there so it took us awhile to find seats. Food was decent. They had local favorites so that was a plus. The men's room was grungy, in need of a make over. The stained harvest yellow chairs were uncomfortable and downright dirty. I fly United a lot because this airlines takes me to where I am going with the fewest connections. Relaxing in the United Club before your flight is awesome as I have never been denied access in the HNL location. Some of the other Clubs will have signs that say the Club is at max capacity. Each club is different, but you can always count on a drink, snack or dessert. The HNL location has Dole Whip which is a unique treat! read more

This was a great decision after leaving the cruise ship at 9:30 and flight at 1:30. It was a bright & recently remodeled, done very nicely. Food was very good for lite breakfast and lunch. Plenty of snacks and you have to try the Dole Ice Cream, really good! Nice bar area and plenty of eating tables and big separated chair for relaxing. Great help to keep thinks nice and clean. Overall pretty good club lounge with local Hawaii kine food (they were serving Kalua pork with white rice). Plenty of seats available and bar with about 8 seats--good size. No problem with finding a table here. The best things however are: 1. Dole Whip machine for soft serve pineapple inside!!!! This stuff is really hard to find everywhere. I had a pleasant experience at this lounge considering I visited while Covid is still present. All of the food was packaged to ensure safe handling and did not affect the quality of it whatsoever. I visited last week and they had a small array of items: -freshly cut sweet pineapple -Caesar-style bowtie pasta salad -curry chicken sandwich -nut assortment -banana loaf cake -island mango noodle salad -chips w/ fresh pineapple mango lomi (salsa) -warm musubi (located at the bar) -pineapple Dole whip (located at the bar) -instant noodle cup The lounge was well lit, clean, and spacious. They enforced social distancing in the seating area with plenty of sanitizer stations throughout. Bathrooms could use a little renovation, but not too bad. The airport itself is showing its age so this lounge is upgraded place to hang out. The service here is friendly. It's my first time at this United club and came around 6pm on a weeknight so it was not too crowded. Plenty of cozy chairs, dining tables, and tables against the wall with wall chargers. This location seems a bit out dated but it's still more comfortable than waiting at the gate. This location is on the 2nd floor nearby gate G2. There are escalators and an elevator to take you up in. I guess Covid is pretty much over (came here mid March 2022) as they didn't have much prepackaged food. They had a bunch of open food options (pictured below) such as sandwiches, soup, spam musubi, salads, fruit, and nachos/salsa. Their food overall was pretty tasty (it's an airport lounge, don't judge me). I especially enjoyed the turkey on a Hawaiian roll and their macaroni salad. Arrived early to the airport (3 hrs before boarding). Went to use the United Club. I arrived to the club 2 hrs 20 minutes before boarding (3 hrs 20 min before take off) and was told I had to WAIT OUTSIDE FOR 20 MORE MINUTES. In terms of domestic United lounges, I'd say this one is above average. They attempt to insert some Hawaiian flair with things like lilikoi cookies, Hawaiian salad, and char siu pork. But the best Hawaiian flair is that they serve Dolewhip. Yes, remember that pineapple softserve you paid $8 for at the Dole Plantation? You can get it here for free! It's hiding at the back of the lounge next to the bar, so just keep walking until you get there. There are some complimentary alcoholic beverages in this lounge, as is typical of United lounges, but one thing I appreciated for 5 year old was that there were 3 non-alcoholic cocktails I could order for her. The first two were fruity drinks, and my daughter opted for the milk mixed with chocolate syrup. She enjoyed feeling like a big girl, and they used a nice curly straw which my daughter was also into. WRT location, this place is a bit tricky to find. To get here, you'll have to take the escalator upstairs from where all the gates are located. But you'll be rewarded with a nice view of all the airplanes taking off. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a one-time pass for this United lounge and was looking for a quiet space to sit and pump milk for my infant. When I tried to enter, they scanned my pass but refused to let my baby in, insisting I enter alone and leave my child outside. This is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of accommodation for nursing mothers. I sincerely hope United addresses this policy and ensures no other parent is put in this position again. read more

They keep the place clean and I have no complaints about any of the service. I just think if you're gonna add this on and pay the extra $60 you should be able to get better food than you might find out in the airport. Located in the Mezzanine above the United gates, this is the second time being in the premium lounge of an airlines. I was invited by a friend with credit card that including unlimited United club entries with 2 guests. He said that the benefit was $500 which sounded really pricy to me. The first thing I noticed when I entered was that the seats were pretty dirty with stains of some sort. I left my bags and went to look at what was available. I got some appetizers from the small buffet that they had out. The fare wasn't very appetizing with two types of cut fruits, some sort of coleslaw, cheeses, crackers, beef barley soup, pulled pork with rolls, and some taco ingredients. They also had a few desserts, and dole whip. The food was pretty tasty but there definitely wasn't lots of options, I found a bunch of cup noodles on the wall and had one of them too. All the well drinks were open bar and upcharge for top shelf, and sodas was ordered through the bar as well. The coffee machines produced some decent coffee. I stayed in the lounge for 3 hours and felt it was nice to have a semi private waiting area before the flight but I am not sure it was worth $500 a year unless your travel United a lot. read more
