We didn't plan on flying ANA to Japan, but after United stopped flying from Honolulu to Tokyo and our reservations were changed to an ANA flight, I quickly learned the different tiers of ANA flights. We didn't spring for ANA First Class, but opted for Premier Economy which gave us lounge access! This was a great perk, both in Honolulu and in Narita. The ANA Lounge in Honolulu was so full of Japanese nationals, it was like we were already in Japan! Such a different vibe than the Untied lounge in Honolulu, very quiet and civil. The food was light but pleasing, and there were views of our plane. I hope to fly ANA again in the future and hope to get lounge access again.

Food: Real food not just warmed up Service: friendly service keeping the food and seating area cleared Ambiance: beautiful view of Diamond Head Great way to start your vacation!

Hawaiian curry rice! I threw some orange chicken on it as well.

This is a first class lounge. It's enormous and can comfortably seat passengers in a variety of seating arrangements. The food is also first rate with curry rice, spam musubi, a salad and udon bar. More importantly, the place is clean and relaxing! Soft Hawaiian music permeates the lounge as well as clean scents. The views of the runways are fantastic and you can see planes landing and taking off. There's a great view of Diamond Head and the Koolau Mountains. The restroom is like being in Japan. Compared to the United Club at HNA it's like night and day. We had a two hour delay for which ANA gave us each $30 cash for our troubles it was no problem waiting in comfort for the plane to arrive from Japan. Overall, you will be impressed with the ANA lounge at the Daniel K Inouye International Airport!

This is a great airport lounge. They have a couple signature cocktails that are fruity and delicious and the complimentary food is pretty good! I was impressed. The inside feels new and modern, with a Hawaii inspired flair. There is even an area for first class to board the C4 gate, which makes it feel exclusive. I've been in this club a couple times now flying out of HNL on ANA. The C gates are pretty far from check in, so if you want to enjoy the lounge before your ANA flight, I would suggest coming early. I was able to get in with my star alliance gold status on United. I love airline affiliates! They offer beer, wine, cocktails, cans of soda, water and juice. The food is salad, sandwiches (including a strawberry/whipped cream sandwich!), miso soup, curry and rice, pasta with meat sauce, and meatballs, fruit and chips. If you're here in the morning, the also have mini acai bowls! So cute!! There are also gorgeous views of The E gates, diamond head and the runway. I could sit for hours in here watching planes :) Only good vibes here. The check in/reception lobby has ANA workers from Japan, so they are very polite and welcoming. It's a great lounge!

Hawaiian Chicken Curry w rice, and some green onion and corn added. I think JAL's curry is better.

Having the best airline lounge at Daniel K Inouye International Airport is like being damned with faint praise. ANA's lounge above the C4 gates in Terminal 2 is quite relaxing and nice, but nothing to get excited over. First, the views are legitimately good. You can watch a multitude of Boeing and Airbus jets, small private jets and propeller craft, helicopters, all taking off or landing from a window seat. Very good plane-spotting. Second, the food is well stocked, is reasonably tasty, with limited but appealing variety. No Dole whip, but do have the curry with rice. The non-alcoholic beverage and beer options are self serve. Spirited alcohol and wine is poured by a server. Finally, the mood is civil. There's no noisy unruly children on the loose, adults are not crawling over each other for service. The lounge staff work efficiently to clear rubbish, clean the food lines, remove used dish ware and glasses. The restrooms are kept clean. There is enough space so it doesn't feel crammed full and tight when busy. This one is nowhere near as good as ANA Lounges in Narita or Haneda. But it is not a survival-of-the-fittest atmosphere like domestic lounges elsewhere in HNL.

I finally made it to the ANA lounge. It took me 2 years but I finally had the opportunity to go to the lounge. The lounge is on the second floor in and it is big. It has many areas to sit and relax before your departure. I joked with some coworkers that I would be ordering mimosas while waiting and that turned into a reality. The drinks were good. The food selection was not that good. But it's better than some lounges that I've been to so the lounge still gets 5 stars. The service here was excellent. It felt like a lounge in Tokyo since many to all the people there were from Japan. I forgot to take pics of the lounge but I did take a pic of Honu.

The missing 1.5 is for a smaller selection than most premium lounges. Their miso braised pork was stand-out and their lilikoi cheesecake bar was delicious. Most of their produce/fruit offerings were local and fresh - can't say that about every lounge I've been to. Staff were continually refilling the stations. Drink selection is quite bare - 1 hard seltzer and 2 beers, a few different wines (I didn't check). No spirits, which other self-serve lounges even have. They make it a point to tell you that everything is self-service, including bussing your own plates and dishes. As such, some guests still leave their dishes and trash behind and it really doesn't seem like anyone is paying attention, so tables can stay full for a while. There are very limited big/full tables with outlets nearby, so I ended up bussing someone else's dishes myself to use the table for our party. Everything seemed clean, including bathrooms. Someone is also regularly cleaning it. Wifi wasn't strong enough for me to download anything off Netflix, which was strange, but maybe it was just me. All in all, this would be a 3.5/5 lounge experience, but still glad to have it.

It is air-conditioned and is a nice respite away from other portions of the terminal which are open air and can get a little warm depending on the season. We didn't stay very long as the lounge got full very quickly and felt a little crowded so we decided to leave and head to arcade a little early. All in all a nice spot for a quick rest but not somewhere I would find myself staying too long as you are not able to have a private conversation as there is no auditory privacy here. But I do appreciate the cold beverages and a soft, comfy chair.

While the lounge is not positioned as a luxury flagship facility, it performs well as a comfortable and functional retreat from the busy terminal. The lounge is located on the third floor overlooking the concourse, which creates a quieter environment compared to the crowded gate areas below. Seating is arranged across several sections with lounge chairs, work tables, and bar-style seating. During peak departure periods, particularly in the evening when multiple mainland flights depart, the space can become busy but still remains manageable. Food offerings follow the standard United Club buffet format. Guests can expect light hot items, soups, salads, and snack options throughout the day. The quality is simple but fresh and consistently replenished. A self-service bar provides beer, wine, and standard cocktails, with premium beverages available for purchase. Staff maintain the lounge well, clearing tables frequently and keeping buffet stations organized. The overall atmosphere is calm and practical rather than upscale, which aligns with expectations for a domestic airline lounge. Overall, the United Club at HNL delivers a dependable lounge experience. It provides comfortable seating, basic refreshments, and a noticeably quieter space before boarding long flights from Honolulu.

I thought maybe it was just me, but my friend agreed it was tough as well. The grilled cheese was also a bit surprising. Instead of the classic buttery, crisp bread with melty cheese inside, the cheese was grilled onto the outside and inside, which left the sandwich lacking that satisfying crunch. The fries were tasty, but for a $7 upgrade, I was hoping for a more generous portion than what arrived on the plate. On a positive note, the staff was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and checked on us a few times during our meal, which always makes a difference.
