Great service! Had someone come by within a couple hours of calling and the work was professional and quick.

The quality of the job was substandard. The molding was not put on properly after the windshield was fitted. They tried to tell me that the molding was a pre-made/pre-shaped rubber piece and that it doesn't need to be snug with the windshield. I've had windshields replaced and seen that crap come out of a squeeze tube, so I know that's a load of crap. I even went around looking at other cars of the same make/model to verify. So, yes they screwed up. And didn't take ownership of the problem. I brought it back for them to fix properly and they said they worked on it but didn't...same issue. It's obvious they didn't even touch it...though they did have my car for the better part of a day to work on it...even though it only takes a pro 20 minutes to replace a windshield. So, the windshield rattles as a result. Had to bring it somewhere else, and pay someone else to put it on right. It was cheaper than most places, but I wouldn't recommend their work. read more

Due to the cold weather, I found the front windshield of my SUV severely cracked one morning. I started calling around to auto glass repair shops for quotes and chose Royal Auto Glass in Alexandria, VA because of its comparatively low cost for windshield replacement. However, when I took my car in, the technician advised me that, because the moldings had been improperly glued to the glass, he would not be able to get the windshield out without cutting them off and that it would cost me at least $150 in addition to the cost of replacing the windshield to have the molding replaced. Feeling uneasy about the additional cost that I hadn't planned for, I decided to call around first to determine if the additional cost was legitimate. My insurance company referred me to United Auto Glass where the staff was extremely helpful and seemed amazed as to why the other company would have told me the moldings would need to be replaced. I decided to take my car in to United Auto Glass to have them take a look before scheduling an appointment. Not only did the technician confirm that the moldings would not need to be replaced, the company matched the price that Royal Auto Glass had originally quoted me and through in new molding for free! I was able to get the work done on the spot despite not having made an appointment in advance, and I was thoroughly impressed with the attention received by the staff! I could not give them zero star because it wasn't an available option these clowns replaced my windshield, it was not installed correctly, unbalanced and make popping noise when car is running, they dropped glue on my leather trim damaging it forever and did not know how to deal with the rear mirror so the put silicon caulk like glue to hold it in place which was not in the correct place, had to go back to fix their mistakes which was not done correctly 2nd time, thankfully the front windshield they "put" was very low grade so I am replacing it at a respectable business this time. warring: these guys are primative amatures read more

I called around to a few places that acting like they didnt want the business of a windshield replacement. They gave me ridiculous timelines and were going to charge me and make me go to them. I needed my windshield replaced, good price, and to not have to leave work all day to do it. I got all the above and then some with this place and especially Karman. Karman was even kind enough to work out all details via text because I have a small child and lead a busy life. He came to me, cleaned the windshield, replaced all my stickers and ezpass, it was like my windshield had never had cracking in it.
