A colleague referred me to Mastercraft for the repairs, and, boy, do I wish I asked the Subaru dealer near me for a referral instead. Mastercraft never fully resolved the October 2022 original issue (blindspot detector was destroyed when the bumper-cover fell off). I said I wanted genuine Subaru parts and they agreed, but they put a NON-genuine blindspot detector in that STILL keeps causing issues with my car in March 2023. I took it to Mastercraft 2 more times because the detector kept turning off after 3-5 miles of me driving it. Every time I went in to fix the issue, everyone gave me an attitude like I was disrupting their day and ruining their life simply by walking in the door. I finally told the insurance adjustor that I'm going around Mastercraft to avoid their incompetence and attitudes and taking it directly to Browns Safford Subaru who found that the bumper is also a non-genuine Subaru piece. Mastercraft's job was done so poorly that the "repair" kept bumping the blindspot detector out of place. Subaru had to complete undo everything Mastercraft did and redo it. A 5-month-long nightmare that could've been avoided if I went to a different auto body shop. Check out Performance Auto Body instead, per Subaru's recommendation at (703) 335-9638. Thankfully I got the person's insurance information so this wasn't a bill to me every time. Beware and avoid, especially for collision work if it's out of pocket. read more

My wife's car was hit while we were on vacation, the last shop I used was gone for several years. Not knowing anyone in the business anymore I was dreading having to find a body shop. I did know of the ones I didn't want to go through. My insurance company had a list of shops they used and mastercraft was on it. All the reviews were good . One bad one about not wearing masks‍ I'm pretty picky and told them right up front, they said no problem, bring it in! Being a mechanic myself, first thing I spot out are all the certificates and certifications on the wall, that means alot to me, that's going the extra mile to show how proud the shop and the techs are of their work. I was immediately at ease and everything was set up. They kept me informed the whole time by messaging and was complete the exact time they said it would be! Car was perfect and had a perfect paint match! Couldn't be more happier! I reccomend them to anyone, even the new aluminum ford trucks, they are a certified shop. I had taken my wife suv to get fixed, not once but twice and I'm going to have to go a third time. The first time I picked it up they didn't completely finish their work and left it half as bad as it was. Secondly I picked my car up again and been hearing a knock as I drive, come to find out they changed my shock without my consent!!! I, it's all painted in different colors and what not. Very satisfied with the work on my 2018 Toyota Corolla. Since the start I knew I was in good hands when I got a call from James (estimator) that my insurance company wanted to label my brand new car as a complete loss but he insisted to speak with another person. He told me in all his years of being in the industry, he had never heard of a brand new car needing only $7K be a total loss when it was still valued at 15k-16k. The following day he called me back and told me that he got the OK from the insurance company to start with the repairs. I was even updated daily via text messages from their automated system. James called me on a Tuesday saying that the parts had all been installed without a problem and that the car was going to their paint department, he told me what they would do next and expected to have the slcar ready by Friday if everything went well. Friday came around and I got a call saying my car was ready for pick up and no other problems had arised. Very happy with my experience, I will definitely recommend Mastercraft to anyone that is looking for a body shop. The only small thing I would say is my passenger seat was left a bit messy from the people working on the car and sitting inside to do whatever it was that they had to do. There was some dirt and light stains left but its nothing a bit of cleaning supplies can remove. It's not a big deal I'm just happy to have my car back and in great shape. read more

Terrible customer service. From the counter girl who was more interested in her text conversation than helping us get our truck back to the manager who lied and argued with us about the license plate they managed to misplace, it was a terrible experience all around. To begin, we had to call them anytime we wanted an update on the vehicle. The first call we got said that the work would be finished within a week. That date came and passed and no phone call. When we finally called them, they said it would be another week or so, without giving any information as to why. Nor did they seem particularly concerned that no one had bothered to tell us. They did manage to fix most of the problems with the vehicle, but overlooked some pretty standard stuff. The collision was mostly front bumper and fender and the work done to replace those was fine. However, the window on that side didn't work properly when they were done, and they neglected to plug the control for the side mirror back in. The work they did do was solid, but the whole experience left a bad taste and I will never bring another vehicle here. When we went to pick it up, three people argued with us that it didn't come in with a front license plate. Which was a bold lie, considering state regulations. I asked for the keys to the truck to go and see if the plate was inside it, and they handed me one key, no keyfob (lock/unlock/panic button remote) attached. I asked about that, and again was told that it came in without one. I took the keys and went out to the truck to search for the license plate and keyfob. Found the truck unlocked. With the keyfob sitting in the cuph older with a bunch of trash. Went around back and opened the back up and found the first aid kit that comes standard with the vehicle out, unzipped and rifled through. With this awesome confidence inspired in me, I turned to find the manager coming out with my husband. She was arguing with him and generally being insulting, patronizing and doing everything possible to escalate the situation. Which, in my opinion, is generally the opposite of what you want to be doing when dealing with an upset customer. Absolutely unbelievable. I cannot recommend against going here strongly enough. Unfortunately I needed to have auto body service recently. Mastercraft was reccomened by my insurance company. Needing to go out of town the next day I went with the recommendation. The quality of work was good and after repairing significant damage looks almost new. They finished the work in the quoted amount of time. The support people were always polite and helpful. James the service lead was particularly helpful. I do have one complaint. When I picked up the vehicle it had a very light film of dust and over spray. You figure that after having the car for three weeks they could have given it a good wash before I picked it up. read more

I had an accident with my brand new Infiniti G37X. Lost the entire front end of the vehicle. Just heartbreaking since the car had less than 3000 miles on it. The car was towed to Mastercraft, which is an authorized Geico body shop. I was very concerned that the car would never look or drive the same. I needn't have worried. Mastercraft did a great job. Because the car was so new, Geico authorized the use of all new Infiniti parts. Mastercraft had this car looking perfect! It drives the same, the paint matches perfectly and all the repairs are excellent. I brought it over to my dealership for inspection right after pick up. They gave it a 2 thumbs up and said everything is perfectly done........ All the personnel are very helpful and friendly. They all are sympathetic to the trauma of being in an accident and do everything they can to help ease the pain. Definitely recommend........but hope I never have to use them again, if you know what I mean........ read more

These guys are good on normal cars, but if you have a higher end car do not take it here. After 3 attempts at fixing my porsche i have given up on trying with this shop. The quality control is very low and attention to detail is nonexistent. I used this shop because geico informed me they were certified to work on porsche's and geico backs them completely. I have liability only (car is paid off) and had gotten 2 other quotes before going to MCAB (recommended by a coworker). Not only was their quote the best, but they were very friendly, very professional, and kept to their timeline! Did an excellent job on my car not once but twice! If I could give zero stars I would. Fall of 2019 we took my car in for tree damage. We had to take it back 3 times for incomplete work. They never fixed the hood properly and left a paint bubble. They claimed it was due to an aluminum hood. Fast forward to January 2020. My car hard to go in due to damage from an accident. They said they put an OEM bumper on and fixed all dents. However, there is still a dent that is visibly painted and clear coat covered still on the quarter panel and the entire front end has shifted, within a few weeks of having the car back. They do crappy work and I would never use them again. read more

This is my second experience with Mastercraft. Last year they did a great job repairing my Chevy Silverado after I was rear ended. Today I picked up my Jeep Wrangler after they fixed the damage caused by a deer running into the left rear fender. The work was flawless and they even went to the extra effort of tracking down a replacement freedom edition Jeep decal online because it is no longer stocked as an OEM part. Mike Newbrough was my service coordinator and was a real professional to deal with. Mike provided excellent communication and regular updates on the status of the repair. Despite receiving a damged replacement part they were still able to finish the repair in one week. In fact, everyone in the office and on the phone has been great to deal with. I had a minor accident in Oct of this year and Geico recommended a shop near my house. Went into mastercraft and was told they will replaced the grill and the front bumper of my car and it will takes about 4-5 days. Didn't hear from them at all through out the process, i called on the 4th day to make sure and was told car will ready tomorrow - 5th day. 5th day comes didn't hear anything throughout the day and later on got a voicemail saying wrong parts was ordered and it will be ready Monday. WHAT?! the day the car was due you called and say that wrong parts was ordered and how can it be ready by Monday? whatever sh*t happens i guess? Few days later got a call saying car is ready. went in to pick it up and noticed the hood isn't closing right. not aligned. was told will have to leave it over night, the guys have left for the day. WOW!!! was told they couldn't open the hood and had to cut it and had to order a new HOOD! mind you nothing was wrong with the hood when i brought the car in. got a call from the shop as well as the manager a few days later and was told everything was good to go. Mind you i had to deal with multiple cars rentals due to the fact that they're saying car was ready so i returned the rental. went in the pick up the car and hood was THE SAME! they blamed it to previous accident that the hood won't close. and basically let me drive off the lot with a hood latch that won't close. Imagine if i drive in the HW and the hood flew off? who would be responsible? At this point i had enough with them, honestly i dont think they know what they're doing. Called geico and got another shop nearby, was told bumper paint job was so bad they saw cracks already. New shop ordered OEM parts, paint instead fixed hood all in 4 days w/o any problems. Please save your self the headache and do not bring your car here. read more

Shout out to Mastercraft Auto Body: Yesterday I took my 2015 Lexus ES 300H for an estimate on some body repair work. Unfortunately, I got into a run in with some landscaping timbers and it pulled my front bumper guard partially off the frame. Additionally, somehow my hood had gotten some scratches on it as well, so I was wondering how much it would cost to buff them out. The guys says :let me take it back and see what I can do." Fifteen minutes later he shows up in the customer waiting lounge (nice BTW), hands me the keys, and says you are all taken care of. We go out to inspect the work and I ask him how much I owe.
