Disappointed by Owner's Unprofessional and Abusive Behavior I visited Convenience Tire & Auto on April 3, 2025, and had a positive first impression. I spoke at length with the owner about his family-run business and even learned that his son races in NASCAR. The service at that time seemed friendly and sincere. Fast forward to today (June 2, 2025), I called to ask about the warranty for the tires I purchased. I initially spoke with the owner's wife, who was kind and respectful both over the phone and in person. However, my experience with the owner was drastically different. His tone was rude and dismissive from the beginning, which was surprising given our previous interaction. When I asked about warranty coverage, he told me there was none. Later, I reviewed my invoice and saw a 40,000-mile tread warranty clearly listed. I called back to clarify, and he told me the warranty might be offered through the tire manufacturer and asked me to bring the tire in. I accepted that the issue may have been due to a road hazard, and understood that it likely wouldn't be covered. Still, I decided to visit in person to get clarification for future reference. When I originally bought the tires, I was told there was a warranty. On the first phone call today, I was told there was none. On the second call, I was told the tread warranty is through the tire manufacturer. I simply wanted to clear up the conflicting information in case I chose to return as a customer in the future. Unfortunately, instead of explaining things calmly, the owner became visibly irritated, raised his voice, used profanity, and told me to "get the f*** out" of his shop. I stayed calm, didn't argue, and simply rolled my tire out of the store while he continued shouting. His wife, who had been courteous throughout, walked away--clearly embarrassed by his behavior. Everyone has off days, but that's no excuse for cussing out a customer and acting aggressively in a professional setting. There are security cameras in the front lobby where this occurred, around 11:45 a.m. on June 2, 2025. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through a similar experience. Finding a good auto shop can be frustrating, exasperating, and hands down difficult. I recently moved to the area and this place is nearby and had good reviews so I figured I would give them a shot. They have been wonderful!! First, I called and scheduled an oil change and emissions on one of our cars. It was scheduled for two days later. Dropped it off, waited about 30-40 min and then done! Best of all they did not try to make me do a bunch of unnecessary things. Paid and I was out. $99 for an all synthetic oil change was very reasonable. Second, I had two flat tires. I had my insurance roadside tow my car down the street here. They called to let me know one could just be repaired but the other one should be replaced. We replaced both tires and got an oil change. Everything was done by the next morning. Prices were reasonable and service impeccable. They picked me up to get the car. Timmy always provides above and beyond customer service and really makes you feel like a valued customer. I have been to so many auto shops in Loudoun County and none were as honest and convenient! I'm so glad we found a reliable place nearby with such excellent service! read more

First, this shop is the only full service provider in Manassas. They perform a variety of services that other shops refuse to handle. Large tires, lifted vehicles, and associated services are a safety concern for most shops in the area but Convenience Tire & Auto had no issues supporting this work. Second, they were happy to tackle jobs (replacing brake lines, suspension work, work on older vehicles, etc.) that other shops seem to shy away from. They dramatically improved the driving performance for my old truck without breaking the bank. Finally, their prices are reasonable and they provide quality work. I have a 21' RV (Rialta) which is basically a Eurovan. I was having transmission problems & check engine & coolant lights were on. $9,000 (!!!) later I still had transmission problems (they did nothing but, supposedly, bring in some outside "expert" who, supposedly, reflashed & reprogrammed the transmission, which didn't need to be done as the transmission had just been rebuilt, and changed nothing), charged $2,300 to replace plugs and coils (2 of which were brand new... within the week), and changed the bill, increasing previous charges, when I asked them to do the brakes as well (this was $1,600 and no complaint about that). The coolant light is still on and the scanner still reads engine misfires. I'm sure they don't rip everyone off this badly (by far my worst experience ever anywhere) but I was just passing through town and Timmy saw the opportunity to royally screw me and get away with it (I *had* to pay the bill to get my vehicle back). Went for a state inspection. Informed I was third in line. 2 hours later told I need new brakes and rotors and had a leaking strut, failed the inspection. Repair estimate $1,600. I left. Went next door, told the rotors were in great shape, had at least another 20,000 miles on the pads, and no repair needed for any strut, passed the inspection. read more

These guys are amazing. Hopped in my car after work and my low tire pressure gauge came on. Not a good sign at 6:55 pm. I called all over town trying to find a shop to fix my tire so I would not miss a day of work or end up with a totally flat tire. Called Convenience and even though they close a 7, they told me to come on over and someone would be there to help. I went in and the guys could not have been friendlier. Arrived a little before my 8a appointment on Saturday morning and was welcomed with a friendly greeting. I travel all the way from Arlington to Manassas to go to Convenience because I trust them to do a fair, honest job at an affordable cost. Every time I've been, the wait has been reasonable, and their waiting area is the best I've ever seen for a fixit shop...scratch that, it's pretty much the best waiting area I've ever seen for any type of business. Comfy leather couches, tons of magazines, and a big flat screen TV! But I usually occupy myself looking at all the cars for sale...they always have some neat finds in the showroom. There's also a Bloom grocery store next door in case you get hungry. I've had a wide range of work done on my '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee at Convenience, ranging from routine oil change and inspection all the way to determining a myriad of problems after a weekend of ill-fated off roading (d'oh!), and have always been super satisfied with the results - they do the job right the first time. Their staff has always been courteous and professional, explaining everything that needs to be done to my car and why, so I'm never left wondering if I'm being charged for something I don't need. read more

I had initially posted a one star review as the first time that I had brought my car in to be repaired, there were some miscommunications between Convenience, my insurance company, and myself that had left a bad taste in my mouth. Timmy promptly addressed my review in an attempt to clear things up. About two weeks after they had initially repaired my car, the same symptoms that had prompted me to bring my car to Convenience in the first place were happening again. When this occurred I felt completely justified in the review I had left, seeing as I was having the same issues just weeks later. I returned to Convenience with the mindset that they had screwed up the repair and they were responsible for fixing it. As it turns out the second issue was a different one that likely happened as a consequence of the first issue. Timmy worked directly with my insurance company, and had me on the line each time that he spoke with them. He spoke with my insurance company to ensure that rather than starting a new claim, the first claim was extended to this repair. This prevented another deductible from coming out of my pocket. Each time that there was an update, Timmy called to keep me in the loop. They finished the repair today after several days of heavy snow, and arranged for someone with four-wheel drive to pick me up so that I could retrieve my car. From the moment that I walked through the doors to drop my car off until I picked it back up this afternoon, Timmy made it his mission to reassure me that I was being taken care of. Despite the first review that was the elephant in the room, I was treated with respect and professionalism each time that I spoke to someone from the office throughout the entire process. I believe that it truly speaks volumes about a company when they go out of their way to make things right with their customers when they are dissatisfied. Perfect service! I took my Nissan Murano to a Nissan dealer in woodbridge to change oil and have the state inspection done. They said if I don't pay $1400 to fix something, then my car can not pass the state inspection. I decided to try other shop, then I went to Convenience Car Care Center, they checked my car carefully and it passed inspection. I checked old town auto repair and compared apple to apple and was given an estimate of $95.99. Arrived at 1:45pm and the car wasn't finished until 3:15pm. Really cannot say enough positive things about this place. If you shop around to every single mechanic, you may be able to find a better deal on a minor scale. But, I took my car to another mechanic last year when they were offering a "free" car inspection. Suddenly my brakes were awful and they couldn't pass it. When not even 4 months prior I had it at the same place for a look over (including brakes) and not a word about them going bad. And I don't drive much. They wanted $400. At Convenience Car Care, I always know they mean what the say, and that they care about their customers. No pressure, no scams. This alone will save anyone money in the long run. Having an electrical problem with my van, I went to my usual mechanic (over 20+ years). However when I entered the building, I didn't recognize anyone, but was quickly told the previous owner had sold the business to CCC. My only choice was to leave the van with the new owners and hope for the best. It turned out that my concern was not needed. They were GREAT - found the problem quickly and repaired it , without charging me an arm and a leg. Will I continue to use CCC? - of course! Not being easily impressed, I was impressed with everyone I had met there and the service was fantastic - to locate a hidden problem and to repair it without fussing meets my standards! read more

Wow. Just WOW!!! Never in my entire life have I dealt with such nice people. I called on a Saturday morning and then was told I could come on in and man am I glad I did. I had zero expectations even despite previous reviews because I just never luck out with this type of stuff. For example I waited 4 hours at Pep Boys for two tires and I even had an appointment! So I get there and am greeted by Timmy and I go on to add about 3 other items I needed done and he was just so kind and told me it was no problem. I was offered coffee, soda and water free of charge! I was even offered breakfast and declined but as I sat down to wait Timmy brought me a sandwich anyway and even offered to change the channel to anything I'd like to watch, I mean who does that?? The waiting area was clean and comfortable, the restrooms were clean and nicely decorated. Everyone I spoke to was so polite. I got in and out l, again NO appointment on a Saturday, in about two hours. Two tires, state inspection, oil change, they washed my truck, and they gave me a written quote on some future work I'll need down the line so I can prepare for it financially. They said they even offer loaners if I wanted to drop it off on the way to work. It just made my frickin day I tell ya! This is a gem of a shop. Definitely going back. read more

Well my pleasant vacation experience was cut short by a sharp razor like object and a nail in one of my tires. At 4:00 Pep Boys wouldn't even look at it, Merchant's Car Care put air in it and sent me away, AAA said they wouldn't be able to plug it bc of the way it's angled. My husband called this place at 6:15 and the manager (Timmy) said we close at 7:00 but bring it in and let me look at it. They stayed late to patch my tire bc they knew I needed to head home early in the morning!!! If you live in the Manassas, VA area please patronize this place.... I never thought I would get to leave a five star rating for a auto repair trip but thanks to CCC, here we go: I initially found the business on yelp when my car started making a whistling noise on 66 - yikes! I called and Cindy answered, was very polite, helpful, resourceful, gave me their hours, suggestions on the best time to come in... what a relief. I came the next morning, was greeted by Doug who showed me where to park, and then eventually met the whole team, including owner - Timmy who is just a fantastic small business owner. They graciously set me up in their conference room to work so I wouldn't have to take time off for the repairs, had coffee, cookies, good wifi.... not bad for an unexpected morning at the repair shop! then prior to doing any work, he came in and explained what they found, what they would like to do, estimate on the cost and didn't over simplify or patronize me. I mean, I knew I would have to pay something because the car wasn't functioning properly, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of labor applied and the total price. His wife was there as well and was very welcoming, made sure I had all their contact info for any future needs. Took car in for an oil change to Pepboys and was informed that my front struts were shot, needed to replace my front brakes and rear brakes. Total estimate $1,800.00. Had car recently inspected and only noise when I excelerate, not when I break. I took it to Convenience Tire and Auto for a second opinion and they confirmed that the noise was coming from a front flap that was pressing against the front tire, not the breaks. They fixed it, FREE of CHARGE. Replaced both filters and felt Convenience Tire and Auto had my best interest at heart. Confirmed that the struts and breaks were in good condition and I would have paid over a thousand for unnessary repairs. Dishonest and unreliable service Pepboys provided, I was a long time customer (since 2000) one location can really ruin a company's reputation. I'll be taking my car to Convenience Tire & Auto whenever I have a problem. EVERYONE who works there is very polite and super easy to get along with. I had to get two new front tires and after calling over a dozen other places, they were by far the cheapest and nicest of everyone I called. I came in with a wheel that had a massive dent which meant that I was losing air very quickly, and they took the time to stay after hours and hammer it back into shape, and now it looks brand new. I also had problems with the plastic stuff that hangs in the wheel well (it might actually just be called the wheel well, I don't know, I'm just a musician and know nothing about cars!) which made godawful sounds whenever I turned the wheel. They fixed that as well, and now my car feels better than it did when I first got it. The shop is very clean and again, everyone there is super cool. I hope I don't have any more issues with my car, but if I do, I'm headed straight to you guys! Thank you all so much for helping me out; you saved the day! P.S. He offered me a rental while my car was in the shop and gave me shuttle service from the center. I never felt pressured into paying for extras and they even washed my car before giving it back!!! Convenience has been doing all the maintenance on my vehicles for a couple of years now. We have a motorcycle as well, so I called Timmy to see if he could work on that. It needed new tires, an oil change, and county inspection. Timmy told me that, while he would be happy to do the work for me, I would be better off taking the bike elsewhere. He would have to outsource the purchase of the tires, and the place he recommended would not have that added expense. Convenience knows how to please their customers. They will not try to get every last dime out of people and will always do what is best for their customers. They are one of the few automotive repair companies that understand the value of a satisfied customer far exceeds the value of one high repair bill. A satisfied customer not only returns but sends their friends. This is yet another example of why I trust Convenience for all of my car maintenance and repairs. I trust that they will not try to drum up business by recommending unnecessary repairs. If they say I need some work done, I know, without a doubt, that I need it.
