    Old, bald tires
    Alex C.

I've built up a healthy distrust in automotive shops over the years through vicarious experiences and my own, but CoHo has completely won me over. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Originally I was going in to replace (mount and balance) 2 rear tires + 4 wheel alignment. Through their tool, they noted that the cords were showing, but what's more they followed up through text to see how I wanted to proceed, with no hint of a tire sales pitch! The were flexible with me leaving my car overnight as the last minute front tires arrived the next day. Their online/digital presence is very informative. This is where I am taking my Z from now on.

Definitely recommend this location. Clean facility and great price for repairing my malfunctioning left tail light on my BMW.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to explain the work that you need done. Pricing is average for a place like this.

I have a 2021 Infiniti QX50. It is making a knocking noise when i press the gas at low speeds. Not sure if it is a mount or something else. I need a diagnostic to determine what is wrong and what I need to fix. What's the cost to run diagnostics?

We would be happy to look at it and listen to it. Our initial testing is usually between a half an hour to an hour of labor. Some easy repairs can sometimes be fixed within that timeframe as well. More difficult issues may require more testing…

How much does a smog check cost?

It's only $28.00 for an emissions inspection however we don't do them. We do have a shop around the corner from us that does them for us when needed.

How much labor would you all charge for change of rear shocks on a 2014 Tundra?

Hi there Cathryn, to replace the rear shocks on a Toyota Tundra of that year would be an hour and a half of labor which is about $244.00. That does not include replacement parts, and is for a un-modified vehicle.

Hello! I have a 2001 BMW 530i and the display cluster on the speedometer isn't working too well. I was wondering how much you charge to get that fixed? What if I bring in both the new and old parts?

we would have to look at the vehicle, can we schedule an appointment for you..jim@cohoauto.com

What would you charge to replace the starter in 2005 jeep liberty?

    Roughly $425.00, jim@cohoauto.com

Hi! I have a truck that is giving me some check engine codes. What would it cost to have the problem looked at and what is your labor cost per hour if I were to have the issue repaired by your shop?…

Good Morning Sonia, For a check engine diagnosis we normally charge between half of an hour to a…

What is the labor price for 2002 4.7 v8 toyota tundra timing belt and water pump replacement cost if i bring in the parts?

Unfortunately this is entirely typical of most shops. They want to sell you their parts because they make a profit off parts as well as labor. Profit is king. It has nothing to do with the parts you bring in and the fallacy that they can only…

Garage door closed (it was winter) but clearly marked for inspections. Realized later that there was a big vehicle parked in front of the entrance with the name of the company. That door is to the right of the garage door. Interesting waiting room. Lots of antiques to look at. Creepy dolls, age old magazines, Christmas decorations, and piles of 8-tracks! The wait was very entertaining!! Great music while you wait too!!! Everyone super friendly. Inspection was $20. I'll be back in a year :)

Headline: Tax Evasion Tactics and Dishonest Pricing - Avoid This Shop!…read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this shop. They use classic bait-and-switch tactics to avoid taxes and overcharge customers. Initially, they quoted me a ridiculous $930 for labor on my Lexus ES350, then offered to "lower" it to $790 only if I paid in CASH. This is clearly a tactic to avoid taxes while still charging premium rates. I provided all my own parts (spark plugs and two catalytic converters). Even though they only installed ONE of the two converters, they still forced me to pay the full "cash price" we had discussed for the entire job. When I asked about the second converter--which is a simple 30-minute job in the front of the engine--the mechanic tried to extort another $350 from me! To make it worse, the mechanic lied to my face about the technical difficulty of the job to justify his price hiking, claiming the rear catalyst is easier to access than the front one (a blatant lie to anyone who knows Lexus engines). These people are not honest mechanics; they are predators looking for cash-heavy transactions. The shop is empty for a reason. Check the other reviews--I'm not the only one they've tried to scam. Do yourself a favor and go to a professional shop that accepts cards and provides honest estimates.

I could not be happier with R&j Auto Shop!…read more I have a 99 Chevy Silverado that has sat for years. I put a charger on it, which read 14.4 volts, but still it would not crank. I reached out to a number of shops, and R&j was the most responsive and reasonable. I am so glad I did. Jorge was very communicative, and texted me to let me know when he would be arriving. He brought all the tools needed to diagnose the problem. Since it was an easy diagnosis, Jorge did not charge a diagnostic fee, which was very reasonable. Jorge let me order the parts I needed, and even suggested I replace the serpentine belt at no additional cost. He replaced the alternator, battery and removed the aftermarket alarm that was draining the electrical system. He even diagnosed the brake issue that we found once the truck was running. R&j Auto Shop is my go to for quality, quick auto repairs. Jorge is a great guy and easy to work with. I highly recommend R&j Auto Repair!!

I had reached out to Jorge when my car failed the Virginia safety inspection due to a faulty…read moreABS/VSA module. Most shops recommended replacing the module at a whopping $3,000. I decided to do the sane thing and look at repair options instead. I had found Circuit Board Medics in South Carolina (these guys are the real deal btw) who would go on to do my repair for a 10th of the replacement price, but almost all of the shops around me were unwilling to remove the module for me to ship it out and then reinstall it once it was shipped back to me. Except Jorge. He gave me a reasonable price and service dates which was a little too close to the reinspection deadline but I had hoped it would be done by then. The first appointment, Tuesday, August 11, went really smoothly, Jorge came to my location and took off the module for me to ship out to the module techs down in SC on express delivery. Unfortunately there was only one day between me shipping it out and Jorge's Thursday appointment to reinstall the part. The techs in SC had a same-day turnaround but they ended up shipping it back out to me on the day of the appointment for it to arrive on Friday. Things had been going superbly up to that point. Because Thursday was the last day of the 15-day grace period, I was anxious to get it done as soon as possible because the fact that the period ended created new complications. Unfortunately, Jorge informed me that he would not be available until the following Monday. I understood his booking situation so I let him know that I might look for someone else to complete the job sooner because of the deadline that passed. He then offered to try to come on Saturday to which I offered to pay extra for him to try to come out on Friday, to which he agreed. Friday comes and I had asked him to let me know if he's likely to come out that day. He tells me that he couldn't make it that day at 7:30PM which was odd but things happen so I hoped he'd be able to come out on Saturday. Saturday comes, he texts later in the afternoon that he's busy and would come on Monday at 12PM. I didn't want to try to get a Sunday appointment at that point so I let it be. Monday comes and he's not here. A little while later he lets me know he's on his way, arrives at 1:30PM, gets the job done, and then we parted ways. Obviously, this was not the kind of service I expected to receive. I felt mistreated because of the following reasons: 1. I could have had someone else come and finish the job by Friday or Saturday. I completely would have understood if Jorge was unable to come but he sold me false hope and I believed it because, 2. I didn't want to rent a vehicle until he could come out but I could have! I thought it would be unnecessary since he'd definitely come today, tomorrow, the next day, when Christ comes back, etc. 3. I have lost earnings for nothing when I could have rented a car out and recouped some of the expenses that I had incurred and will incur because, 4. The car still failed inspection for another reason I didn't think would fail it and had I been working this past weekend, I would have been in a better position to get that new issue fixed. 5. I can't legally drive on public roads because the grace period has passed. Though it was the module techs who delayed the module, I had asked Jorge if he would be able to take off the module one day earlier so we could avoid a situation like this. He said he would try but he never confirmed it. The first appointment took literally 20 minutes and I would have paid extra for him to come the day before at an off hour or something so the inspection window would have less risk of closing. Though fixing this ultimately didn't stop the car from failing inspection again, at least I would have had more time to prepare for the next repair BEFORE the window closes. 6. After all of this grief, he was still late by an hour and 30 minutes on Monday without a single word of acknowledgement of the fact! I am so angry and disappointed in the way this all turned out. What had started off as an exceptional service has ended up costing me what I never expected it to, simply because an edge case scenario could not be handled properly and professionally. I hope Jorge can clarify any wrongdoing on my side and maybe rectify his end. I still reluctantly encourage anyone to give him a chance based on the other reviews written about this business and the factoring of "things happen"-ing, but he has lost my confidence. This is technically a one-star review but I didn't want to be any more blunt.
