A beautiful Sunday morning drive through East Potomac Park abruptly ended when a golf ball careened into and cracked my front windshield. Startled, I immediately pulled over to assess the damage. I quickly called four businesses that advertised prompt Sunday service, but only one answered the phone and delivered on its promise: Speed Auto Glass in Alexandria, Virginia. After completing the online quote form, I received a prompt follow-up call. An estimate was provided, although I was asked to bring the vehicle in for an accurate assessment. Mobile service was not available, but I appreciated the straightforward communication. Upon arrival, I was greeted immediately. My vehicle was inspected and then pulled into a service bay for windshield replacement. Despite having three vehicles being serviced at the same time, the team appeared organized and efficient. While waiting, I enjoyed a cool, clean, comfortable, and spacious lobby, especially appreciated on a +90 degree day. The waiting area included a table, several chairs, complimentary tea, and magazines. My partner and I even had time to enjoy lunch at a nearby Thai restaurant while the work was being completed. Approximately three hours later, my vehicle was ready. I was pleased with the final price which included a lifetime warranty. The entire experience was professional, efficient, and hassle-free. What began as an unexpected disruption to my Sunday ended with excellent customer service and a quality repair. Thank you to the team at Speed Auto Glass for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience. read more

I noticed a windshield chip soon after I purchased my newer car that actually warranted replacing the windshield and I am so glad I came here to get it fixed. I worked with my State Farm insurance and that's how I found this place. Abi was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and great to work with, and they did a phenomenal job. I waited there while they were replacing it, and they finished everything (including calibration) in around an hour and a half, and my new windshield is looking great. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! read more

What can I say, glass is glass right? Well no, with any brick and mortar business, your experience can be based on how you feel based on the premises and employees. We have all been to a big box glass shop before and lets just say time stands still and as you can see from reviews 2-3 stars seems to be standard. Speed Auto Glass is a family owned & run business, the front office and waiting room is a very nice place to wait. The price for my replacement was competitive and they offered same day service. I actually forgot to schedule and rolled out of bed on a Saturday morning and they took me right away! In and out within 1hr. The waiting area was large and comfortable. Love small businesses that go out of their way! Highly recommend read more

Sunday I shattered my rear Ford F150 glass and out of town to boot. I mean shattered - a million pieces. Contacted Safelite within an hour of incident. They couldn't come to me until Thursday, so earliest time it to take in was Tuesday (still not soon enough). Daughter took it in, left to waste some time, never got a call, text, nothing about status. Went back in the office 2.5 hours later, they seemed mysterious about not having contacted her, then said they couldn't do the job because they didn't have the glass. This after 2 days waiting for appointment, AND 2+ hours of it sitting in their shop. Ended up having to make another appointment for Thursday. A whole week blown. (PS they have no local phone number so I couldn't call later and complain) Scrambling, I see an ad on Yelp for Speed Auto Glass, closer to home, and sent an email quote request after hours. At 9:20 that evening, I get an email back, they could do it NEXT DAY for less than "other guys". I booked it, cancelled Safelite in a hurry. Daughter again took it in, was given 1.5 hour window, it was done in 30 minutes. For WAY less than "other guys" and so far below insurance deductible. Speed Auto Glass to the rescue! I'm VERY happy! No more Safelite for me! read more

The Customer Service was like dealing with your favorite family member A+. Quality of work and respect of time A+. I had Passenger side widow and side mirror repaired and the price was just ass good as everything else I had mentioned. While there I got a price quote for a windshield replacement. The price given to me was half the price Safelite quoted me. I will be back for the windshield replacement in the next couple of weeks. If you shall visit them tell them " Love You Like A Brother" recommended you. read more

Abi and his team were my family's #1 go-to for all our car windshield issues. I first brought my car (Honda CR-V) to Abi back in fall of 2024 right before his shop closed. His team still kindly received me despite the "late" drop off and had the car fixed and ready for pick up the next day! I never felt rushed or treated as a burden -- the team was very professional. In late 2025, I brought our other family car (Subaru Impreza) back to Abi's and he gave us a family/repeat customer discount. This time, the windshield replacement was completed in less than an hour. There's been no issues to the windshield replacements for both cars to this day! I'm no longer in Alexandria, but I will always refer family and friends to Abi's Speed Auto Glass. Thanks so much, Abi!! Both services were well worth the price! read more

My windshield got cracked on 495, what a bummer! Anyhoo, I inquired with several glass companies and settled on speed auto glass. For one, Lisa was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She was extremely responsive. I was able to get an OEM windshield for my vehicle and I am extremely pleased. They are competitively priced. read more

A small nickon my Mazda SUV's windshield turned into a full vertical crack. I contacted a few places online, but I'm really happy I chose Speed Auto Glass. Their pricing was reasonable and they were able to schedule me for the following day. The whole experience was great. It's a family owned business and I guess that's what makes the difference; the owners and the employees were very attentive and professional. read more

Great customer service with cool waiting area that has a TV. I had a chip in my windshield and needed it repaired before I got my windows tinted. Yea, I'm getting my front windshield tinted too. All in all worked out great for me. Not a long wait and the repair was under $100. read more

Highly Recommended. After an awful experience with a Toyota dealer, I found Speed Autoglass online. I was not disappointed! They answered my emailed questions very, very quickly, and I was able to make an appointment for the next day. They took just one hour to change my windshield and calibrate the safety features. They were very helpful. Heck, even their waiting room was nicer than you generally see in a car repair place! I don't recommend that you break your own windshield just to visit them, but if you need windshield work, try here first! Five Stars!!!! read more

When I worked at a shop across the street I watched as this business built up! These are not only amazing techs, but good people. Going out of their way to help and make sure the service is done right. I had a bad windshield job done by another shop and these guys had to undo the other shops mistakes. I appreciate when I am shown instead of surprised. I'm bringing all my cars here from now on! Don't think! Do it! It's worth it! read more

I HIGHLY recommend this company. The customer service was fantastic, the "speed" at which they were able to replace my window was incredible, and their "over and above" effort to remove all the broken glass from inside the car was beyond my expectations! Great to know that there are still people who care about the work they perform for others!! read more

As luck would have it, my windshield needed to be replaced so I reached out on Yelp for a couple of quotes Sunday am and Abbas from Speed Auto Glass was the first to respond. I tend to get multiple quotes and waited/researched online and found that Speed Auto Glass saved near 50% than using Safelite or other shops. We spoke several times, he provided the best time to bring my vehicle in and my car was with a brand new windshield the same day within an hour!!! He showed me that the previous windshield replacement was not installed with decent products/craftsmanship and was a dangerous accident waiting to happen. Abbas even helped remove my license frame and install my new plates! read more

Very good customer service from Abi he amazing great customer service and very polite

I cracked my windshield trying to close an umbrella. I was devastated. I created a project on Yelp and the calls began to flood my inbox. I honestly responded to Speed Auto Glass thinking it was a different company. Well, I'm glad I did. Ari communicated with me via text with only a few moments b/t each communication. I cracked it on a Friday evening, by 11:00 the next morning, my windshield was brand new. I paid the extra for the technician to come to me. Yes, they travel, AND I am in a condo, not a private home. They come prepared. The prices are reasonable, especially in comparison to the BIG glass repair/replacement company, which was triple the cost. It's only been two day and minimal rain, but so far, so good. It is not the exact replacement (I say that b/c it took a little longer for my windshield to clear when it was drizzling). I got a little nervous. I turned on the defroster, and it was fine. read more

This place is amazing. I went in to get an estimate for my passenger window for my Toyota Tacoma and Abi was able to get it done with in an hour. Very professional, great service and highly recommended. read more

Living in the big city blues- thieves demolished my passenger side front window-glass everywhere(!) and walked away with a 12 year old portable gps concealed in the center console, and little else- next time I'll offer them he dang the key. The proprietor is every bit as good, pleasant and professional as described in other posts. Prompt to appointment (I went to the shop to expedite the repair), did the best he could to vacuum out the glass- friends tell me it will take years to find it all, and was finished in less than 2 hours. Electric locks and windows all working fine everything back to where it was. I would recommend this shop without reservation. And, if you're a bit early, check out the Cherokee Grill or Diner on the other side of the highway. Very pleased with the result. read more

Extraordinary service. From my first phone call, "Could you?" to my visit to their shop, "Will you?" on through to picking up my car with "Thank you!" They are the absolute best here. So friendly and straight forward. No BS at all. They are honest about everything and will show you the glass and the work they do.
