I had noticed a stress crack in my windshield Friday afternoon, I called safelight auto glass they wanted $350 for a 93 Honda Accord. Its 27 years old. My deductible is $250 but either way thru insurance or paying out right they could not get me in for two weeks. I looked up mobile and local shop and found Shawn he was able to fit me in the next morning and I was able to get a replacement for $222. The cost want the issue for me but the sooner the better for an apt. He came on time and knocked it out within an hour. He took the extra mile and made sure the chrome trim was sitting flush. Yesterday morning I awoke to the sound of a brick being thrown through my car's passenger side window. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to call Shawn at MyTech and had a new window installed within the hour. Here are two other interesting facts about my experience: 1) The price to have my broken window replaced, on site, was $190 (less than the the $230-ish quotes that I got from my nearby auto repair shops). 2) Shawn almost got to my place and finished his repairs before the police unit that was sent to investigate the incident actually arrived on the scene. Would give these guys a 6 if I could. Called them Friday afternoon after I got several big cracks from a car kicking up gravel, and they said they could come all the way up to Arlington on Saturday. Quote was $260 for my Jeep Patriot, which was $15 cheaper than the next cheapest of the 7 places I called. I feel like I'm repeating what everyone else has said. This company is good. I rarely just hand out 5 stars, but this company deserves it. I called around because I had a cracked windshield (well, it started off as a small crack, then grew to the whole length of the freakin windshield). Safelite...well we all know that company has the highest prices. So I called and spoke to Shawn. He was able to give me a competitive price on the windshield. Honestly I would have gone with anyone but Safelite...they replaced my other 3 windshields (different vehicles) and I had nothing but problems. Shawn called me the morning of my appointment and verified that I was still available (which I appreciated...not too many people reach out to you to verify anymore). He also called again when he was 10 minutes away (again, awesome...and within the scheduled time). What he gets brownie points for is my being extra nosy...and tolerating it. I told him that although I've had windshields replaced, I've never actually seen it. So while he was doing his thing, I was hovering. It didn't bother him (at least I hope it didn't). The whole process was very simple, didn't take long...and I swear it looks like I have a new car! Lol - I've been with the cracked windshield for so long...yeah, let me stop there. I had a large crack on my windshield and found that my insurance did not cover the damage. After looking at Yelp review, I contacted My Tech at about 11:30 this morning. They scheduled a time to come to my office to replace the windshield the following day. 30 minutes later, they called and said they have an opening and could do it between 1-1:30 today.
