Kevin and Gene were so nice and quick/efficient with replacing my windshield. They said I could sit inside while they did the repair and they'd give me a call when it's done. I was worried about having to pay over $500 and using insurance, but thankfully it was lower than expected so I paid out of pocket. I paid $324(ish) to have my windshield replaced. They drove to my neighborhood and I just parked my car outside. I would HIGHLY recommend this business if you need any work done! read more

Auto Glass Express - Alexandria did an awesome job replacing the front windshield on my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The crack was taken care of with a factory OEM replacement, and honestly, I can't tell any difference at all--it looks perfect. What really stood out was the attention to detail. They put my service sticker back exactly where it was in the top left corner, and they even reinstalled my dash cam in the same position. If I didn't know the windshield had been replaced, I wouldn't have noticed at all. That level of care definitely doesn't go unnoticed. The staff was straightforward, professional, and answered every question I had without any hassle. They also finished the job within the timeframe they told me, which I really appreciated. The only downside--and the reason for 4.5 stars instead of 5--was the waiting area. It was a bit cold since there wasn't active heat during the winter, which made it a little uncomfortable while waiting. That said, it doesn't take away from the quality of the work or the service itself. Overall, great experience and top-notch workmanship. She told me the reason the other offices did not answer the phone is that they are closed on Saturday, additionally no one was coming because it is Saturday. I don't trust companies that don't answer the phone. If you have my vehicle at your shop and I can't get in touch with you that's a problem for me. Customer service was excellent. I was told by a dealership that my back window regulator needed to be replaced. I took my vehicle to Auto Glass Express in Alexandria, VA for a second opinion. Only to find out that the window switch just needed to be cleaned out, and I did not need a window regulator at this time. That type of honesty is very rare with Auto repair places. I had a stone strike on my windshield and this place quoted me the cheapest price of $49 to fill the chip. I had a small chip and a small crack. My previous experience with this sort of service, but at safelite, was that the chip and crack pretty much disappeared. This one looks exactly the same, and with it being right in the center of my windshield, I see it every time I'm in the car. When you pay, you sign a document that you accept that there may be a visible imperfection still on your glass. In my case, you can feel where they filled the chip, but visually it doesn't look like it has been worked on. It was very cheap, but I would have paid more elsewhere to have the blemish mostly disappear. read more

Wonderful service! I got a near-instant quote from Yelp with lower price for a passenger window replacement than I was quoted from a handful of other competitors in the DMV area. I took my mercury mariner to this shop because the front windshield glass was pitted due to wear and tear and also because the cowl was damaged. I requested them to replace both the front windshield glass and the cowl. after spending couple of hours waiting them to finish, They brought it outside the shop and said everything is complete. I took my car and returned back to my home. I opened the Hood and looked through the holes of the cowl and found that they did not clean it from leaves or any other trash. Also, most of the screws were loosen. I called them and returned back after 2 weeks and requested them to remove the cowl and to clean and replace the loosen screws. - I recently found that the same old scratches and pitting in the glass started to show up again. This means to me that they cheated and did not replace the glass but only used a temporary material which does not last long. NOT RECOMMENDING THIS SHOP TO ANY ONE. If there is something less than one star, I will not be hesitant to give it to this shop. read more

The service (responsiveness, communication)was good until the actual windshield needed to be installed. They do not have experience installing 100 series Landcruiser windshields. Install seemed good until the next rain shower. There were leaks at the A frame pillar. And leaks at the top seal. Took the truck to another specialist in Landcruisers. He found rivets that were just pulling out of the frame by hand and mouldings not secured at all. Auto glass express did have the install under warranty. But I'm not going back. To be fair, Landcruiser windshield install is a bit different than other vehicles, but I left them the manual so they could check to make sure it was done right. But it still wasn't done right. Therefore 2 stars. They are probably well versed on other vehicles. read more

They did a water leak test and determined that it was not my windshield leaking and recommended an excellent place that did repairs on convertible tops, since I might need new gaskets. I called in to the Alexandria location today after being instructed to by someone operating under the "Santos" handle on FB. The guy who picks up the phone tells me that I was speaking to him and "Santos" is just the handle. I simply ask a question regarding the pricing and the guy goes haywire, yelling over me telling me that they've been in business for years and to "just look at all our great reviews". Terrible demeaning tone. Folks who talk like that really believe they're indispensable. If their work is that good and they're such an asset to the business, these I-believe-I-know-it-all type should be kept in the garage without any customer contact. Far away from people.
