Yeah, so maybe all the bigger airlines aren't lined up like they are in Minnesota/St. Paul, yet my Airlines I usually fly are here for my flying pleasure. The Airport itself is never really crowded and chaotic like bigger airports tend to be., And that's what keeps me coming to South Dakota, I live in SWMN so for me it's a 90-minute drive that I find to be peaceful and scenic, and I love the quick drop-offs and pick-ups. The staff is always extremely helpful from check-in till you reach your gate This past winter, the Airport finished up a new indoor long-term parking structure that's directly across and steps from the front entrance too. I highly recommend the Sioux Falls airport to all my friends visiting from the West Coast, it's quick, Clean and efficient Way to do it South Dakota!!

Metal detectors and bag scanners. Some neat aviation cloud artwork on the neighboring wall. Private screening rooms if you prefer private TSA gropings. Friendly staff and you're through in minutes and off to your gate. Restaurant or coffee shop/bar past security. That's basically it apart from some vending machines. Maybe about ten gates with a play area for little ones. Normal seats with huge windows to look outside and pass the time. Free wifi. Apart from that it's your normal airport. Service to Denver and Minneapolis. Nearby airports and maybe Texas. Got the vibe this was a larger airport than Rapid City but I could be wrong.

My husband wanted to check his bag when he got to the airport. Well first off we tried to check in at three hours before the flight BIG MISTAKE you can't check in baggage until two hours. The frontier lady at the airport told us this is a low cost airline that's why no works at that airport until 2 hours before the flight. Then I told her about the kiosk it working either and she sent the whole line of customers to the kiosks then they had to get back in line to drop off bags. My husband had to pay $79.00 for the 1st bag and she said every time she turns on the computer they charge a $25.00 fee. This is not a low cost airline. This low cost airline ended up being round-trip from San Francisco to Sioux Falls South Dakota. After paying the fees for the bag and the check-in fee ended up costing $600. If you would've flown Delta or United round-trip would've cost you $100-$150 less don't ever fly frontier Service airline service attendant at the airport told us that you cannot check in baggage or use kiosk until two hours before your flight after. After my husband checked in he got an email from frontier saying that his flight was delayed three hours and his connecting flight from Denver to San Francisco has been delayed and he might have to stay overnight, next time will never use Sioux Falls South Dakota and fly into Minneapolis round-trip nonstop for less money

Stood in line in the same spot over 40 mins. Workers are slow and keeps chatting and not doing their job. Gate wasnt posted online, in the app, or even printed on our boarding tickets so we had to ask around for where we were supposed to be. Airplane had no windows where we were, and the table trays are tiny. No leaning back. My chest was almost touching the seat in front of me. Never fly allegiant.

While American Airlines canceled our flight due to maintenance and then we missed our connection due to another delay of American air American got me on a United flight to ensure I made my destination on Friday, here we are Monday and American Air has delayed our flight 4 times, forcing us to miss our connection again , and Melanie let us know United had flights to get us home on time but she would not be helping us because she can get us on n American flight landing tomorrow instead. Why would you feel the need to tell me you could help me but you choose not to? I explained that this was done on Friday and she talked over me the whole time, refused to answer my questions , Told me she was not going to get me on another carrier , she was done talking to me, she refused to answer any questions , spent all of 4 min with me and then said she was going back to work and walked away. It's such a sad situation when people are promoted simply because they have been around so long. She gives all South Dakotans a bad name and American Air needs to look into a more suitable job for her, she should not be customer facing. It's a bad look for the Sioux Falls airport and a bad look for American Air.

I paid online for my checked luggage. the ticket counter staff sat and argued with us over a cpap machine and small soft sided cooler holding injections. both of those items don't count towards your carry on or personal item. I wish you could list that you have those items at ticket purchase so that they were listed as special instructions on your boarding pass. a person really should have to go through all that. but if she would have been polite, it would have been fine. she was very rude.

He was 10mins early, his driving was the best! None of this slamming on the breaks or sharp turns nonsense. He was friendly, accommodating, a listening ear, professional from start to finish, and stayed close through out this whole process. It was a nice reminder that there are still great people in this world.

They picked up my son and his wife from the Sioux Falls airport and drove them through a snowstorm to Mitchell. They had missed a connection in Denver from San Jose due to weather and had to take a late flight to try to get to their grandmother's visitation service. No other limo service was available because of holiday light bookings. The owner's wife volunteered to take them in her personal auto. There are not enough stars in the world to rate people like this.
