After calling a handful of other taxi services in the Sioux Falls area where either no one picked up or went straight to voicemail, I thankfully found Reliable Taxi and was greeted by a pleasant man named Omar who answered after the first ring. I scheduled the taxi pick up over the phone as I live out of state. Omar quoted me a fair rate in advance. He arrived on time to pick up my mom and got her to the heart hospital right on schedule. Then he promptly called me to report that he had just dropped off my mom and watched her walk into the heart hospital through the main entrance doors. After the procedure, Omar picked up my mom from the hospital and got her safely back home. And sure enough, Omar called me with the update that he had just dropped my mom off and made sure she was safely inside her home before pulling away. I was truly touched by Omar taking the time to call me with the thoughtful updates. As the passenger, my mom said she really appreciated Omar's attentiveness and friendly calm nature as it set her mind at ease during the 45 minute drive to the heart hospital for a procedure she was extremely anxious about. Omar at Reliable Taxi far exceeded both my mom and my expectations. Omar truly went the extra mile and made a lasting impression on us. I will most definitely be calling Reliable Taxi again. While not as cheap as the Mega buses in other big cities, the rates they charge are reasonable. The buses I rode from Sioux Falls to Fargo and back was pretty much on time and on schedule. Ted, the driver was very skilled and kept things moving along. He was a great driver but did not suffer fools--something appreciated by this rider. I had to deduct 1 YELP star because the lady selling me a ticket passed me off to some young girl who had no clue on how to ring up a senior discount. So I had to stand around and wait why the other ticket seller yakked with a personal friend and snapped at me when I politely interrupted her and asked if she could help the other lady finish my ticket sale. Jefferson Linea is the way a lot of the college kids get around the area and they have stops along the way directly at some of the colleges. I loved being able to look out the windows and enjoy the beautiful scenery of South and North Dakota along the way. 4 YELP STARS.

On our recent trip, we had the most amazing lady (I wish that I got her name) checking us out. She was friendly, FUNNY, and bumped us up to the next best car. There is nothing worse than getting off of a plane, being tired from traveling, and having an unpleasant rental car experience but Avis never disappoints. From the time we got to the counter, to the time that we drove off of the property, it was about 15 minutes. Yes, please! Also, it is worth noting that during their busy summer season, we were able to get a Hyundai Elantra for $280 TOTAL for the week. I'll take it! See you next year, Avis!

We declined insurance and all of the other mumbo jumbo crap the woman was trying to sell us because we are poor and are trying to get the best price we can, and she acknowledges that money is a concern. She tells us our total was somewhere around $400 which, okay that's fine. That's manageable. But we go out to our vehicle, and not only is it not the one we reserved, it's not even remotely similar. We requested a smaller car because that's what we're most comfortable driving and they give us the keys to a big honker Nissan Rogue. A mom car, pretty much. The license plates bent all to hell and we go in a say something cause we're not about to be blamed for that. She says "oh it happens all the time in the car wash." we go back out, get settled, and we check our credit app and it's $200 more than what she told us. We look at our receipt and double check everything and we can't see any other extra charge. So we call and she says "Oh that's a $200 deposit it will fall off when you return the car but we don't usually say anything unless asked." WHO DOES THAT TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPRESSED MONEY IS AN ISSUE!!!!! So we're pissed off rightly so, and we go on our way. Then the system starts having issues saying the tire pressure is low and the sensor isn't working and we're freaking out because we have a 2 hour drive to our location. Anyway we get there fine after the most stressful trip of our life, and it proceeds to get worse. on our last day there, one of the tires on the car cracks down the side and we have a flat. Thank God we were able to quickly change it over to a donut spare in the back, but we called because THEY GAVE US THIS POS. They said we'd have to pay for it to be repaired when we didn't do anything wrong. So, another stressful two our drive back with a donut spare because we had no other choice because we don't have the money for that repair right now, especially for a vehicle that is not our own. I will NEVER rent from this company again, I don't care how desperate I am. Look elsewhere because this company does not care about you and only wants money out of you.

Steever House was a great experience…read more Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very welcoming and friendly host. I stayed in the Dakota room which was simply fabulous. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace made it exquisite. John and Sara were fantastic hosts. If you are looking for a great experience in Sioux Falls, I highly recommend staying at the Steever House.
