Called last week to set up my ride for today for 8 this morning cab never showed up. This company is very unreliable and I will never use them again. The bad thing is because of them not showing up I had to miss my 35 week appointment for my pregnancy. I suggest not using them if you have a doctor's appointment. Not a very nice company - but been using them for years because they were the least expensive and I am on a fixed income. I ignored the surly seeming call center operators and the drivers that were hit and miss as far as being personable...ignored the minutes to over an hour wait time and dirty cars...but the following experience has caused me to delete them from my contacts forever: Booked a ride, and when I was picked up, was told it couldn't be the round trip I needed - the driver said he didn't have time (15 minutes extra), due to a contract with the school system (Gasp!! I'd never let a child travel with them unattended!). I immediately said "cancel the ride" at less than a block away from pickup as I couldn't be left standing on the steps of a closed business (dropping off a rent check through a mail slot). The driver kept going...now two blocks away from the start point...I repeated that I needed to be taken back immediately (getting out of the car was not an option as I can't walk more than a few feet)...he said, "I can't do that." I said, "Well, you have to! I am not paying for this ride!" in a more forceful tone, now getting angry. He did then turn the car around and asked me, "So you are just mad because you aren't getting your way?" ...I'm sorry..."My way?" They are running a service they want to be paid for. I was only demanding that I not be "kidnapped" and left stranded. Slightly humorous in retrospect, but for some it might have been a frightening experience. I strongly advise giving this company a hard pass. I got home safely in the end, installed the Lyft app on my phone, and had a pleasant experience with them. Clean car, wonderful driver, arrived in minutes...a few dollars more, but you get what you pay for. read more

I called a half hour before my appointment and gave the address to my apartment instead the person went to the wrong apartment complex. I live across from where yellow cab had gone to instead of apologizing for going to the wrong place I get cussed at and accused of giving the wrong place. For which I was told to call someone else. I will not deal with yellow cab in the future. read more

I used this same old reliable company for years. Same old service, they never fail. Nothing fancy but reliably is more important. The price is also fair. So I will continue to use the original cab service "Yellow Cab" 605-336-1616. Still got it memorized, just Incase. read more

I was very pleased with Yellow Cab and used their service 3 times while in Sioux Falls. Each driver was very polite and offered good advice about the city. They always arrived promptly after calling and took efficient routes to destinations. They were everything a person desires in a cab company. read more

Don't bother calling after midnight. They will not pick you up, even if they say they will. This has happened to me on multiple occasions.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Very rude telephone operator. I call to ask for info and I'm the idiot for not knowing anything. I definitely DO NOT recommend this company. I will use any other service instead of these jokers. read more

05:10 pickup outside of town, not easy to find - especially in the dark while snowing. He was there, on time (even a few minutes early) and in good spirits although I'm not sure how at that hour. My cab showed up within minutes of my calling. Cabbie was polite and took the most direct route to my destination.

I called them from Avera e r. at 1230 am. They were there in only 5 min. But, car smelled of smoke. Driver was smoking. I'm in an episode of twilight zone. I Music plays. Why would you smoke particularly when picking a fare up from a hospital. This isn't 1984. It's the year of uber. I felt i was in a time machine. I hope those drivers learn new technology and what the customer requires. Nothing against the driver. read more

I will NEVER AGAIN use Yellow Cab. The driver, Dale, that picked me up, was horrendously rude. I've had bad experiences with Yellow Cab drivers before and brushed it off, because they were the least horrible out of the other cab services in town I've used, but after today, I will never give them another penny of my money. I am disabled and use a walker for mobility, and when Yellow Cab initially dropped me off, I pointed out where I needed to be dropped off in order to access the curb cut. The driver Dale said he would pull around, and then drove past it, and got upset with me when I asked him to go back to the spot that I said would be most convenient for me to get out. He started swearing and saying that I could've said something sooner, even though I had JUST pointed it out two seconds before. I told him he didn't have to swear at me and be rude about it--I just needed that spot to access curb cut, plus, the spot he stopped at would have required me to go around the entire building to access the restaurant that I was going to. The spot that I had pointed to him had a curb cut and a straight shot to the ramp in front of the restaurant. He finally backed up and stopped in front of the spot I needed, but was nasty the entire time about it. When I asked him how much the fare was, he said he wasn't going to take my money. Normally I would be fine with that because he didn't deserve any of my money after the way he acted, but I wasn't going to take the chance of him deciding to lie and saying that I never paid, so I photographed the meter, and the cash I left in the cab. The funny thing was, as soon as I took out my phone to photograph, he was immediately concerned that I was going to call the cops, and when I said I wasn't, he got paranoid that I was gonna call his boss, and said that it doesn't matter if I call the guy, because "he's my friend, so, he's not going to do anything." Now that, I believe. I don't think that Yellow Cab gives a shit about any of their customers, judging by all the negative reviews on here, (and I also agree with the reviews regarding the rude dispatchers that answer the phone). After I got out, I swore that I would never use that cab company again. FYI, I called AAA cab for a pickup to go back home from the restaurant, and was very happy with the service. After today, I will use them exclusively. If you are looking for a cab service that won't treat you like shit, I would suggest calling Les at AAA cab. read more

Although this company has the "name brand" of Yellow Cab, don't be fooled: They are very unprofessional and greedy. They do not want to pick you up for short rides, and don't have the guts to tell you so! I've been told by them numerous times that they would "be there in 20 minutes" or something, only to be stood up. I've also tried making a reservation ahead of time, getting that confirmed, only to again be stood up. Don't use! Highly unreliable! If they don't want to deal with you and you call back, they will simply excuse themselves saying how busy they are (!). read more

Always on time, friendly drivers. Credit card machines never work leading to drivers asking to write down credit card numbers... Would have given 5 stars except this is terribly inconvenient on your time and not conducive to credit card security. read more

We called and asked for a cab for 8 people at 5pm. They showed up at 520pm with a car that would only hold 4 people.
