What I can tell you is this -- I came here looking for decent suits and I found *many* of them. Racks and racks full of suits. I tried on around 10, I bought six of them. In that group of six, only *one* will need alterations. That's right -- five suits bought and ready to wear for right around $100. I've been to a bunch of thrift stores in the DMV. Really, look at my other reviews. Bottom line -- if you want real variety in men's suits, I haven't found any place better yet. Yes, maybe some thrifts have *nicer* suits on a per capita basis, but at this store, you'll have a lot of options and if you have a relatively common body-type like mine, you can come away with a full closet if you want it.

I'm assuming that they're having issues with staffing, which is understandable since this is a strictly volunteer-run operation. I wish that they would update their socials or put up a sign to communicate a change in normal operating hours. It's a shame because I really enjoyed shopping here when I first discovered it a few months ago.

In my search for houseware items I stumbled upon this. As you may know, those of you that live in the area, this is not that type of thrift store. Even though, I was not discouraged. I browsed and looked about to see what they had to offer. I know where I'll be going when I'm looking for a pair of Vans. Sizing is based off what people bring into sale. Cross your fingers when coming here or you may not leave a happy camper. The mix of merchandise on the racks all depends as well. If you have the time, you can spend a good portion of your day in here browsing. Because, who doesn't like a treasure hunt. Staff were friendly and kept busy with their tasks in the store. The space was neat and well organized. Parking, not a problem. You can park in their lot that is a part of the building as long as you are shopping. First, let me start by saying that my review is only for the College Park, MD location; I've never…read morebeen to the other locations. I took 4 totes of clean, well-loved, ready-to-wear casual/moderate clothing and newer or never-worn shoes to this location for cash (not consignment). They told me they would call me after they went through the items. When I offered to wait until next-day because I had quite a few items, they said it wouldn't be necessary. That was approx. 2:30 p.m., and they stop taking items at 7 pm. They called and said I could come and retrieve the items they chose not to buy from me. Problem(s): they didn't buy ANYTHING, and (2) I was methodical when I packed those totes for a reason. They did not move one thread of my items in those totes! Upon arrival to pick up my items, they finally did go through one tote ON THE FLY, and I know this because of how I packed my items--grouping like items, etc. SO... I asked for feedback, i.e., what should I know, since I WILL be taking my items to their competitor consignment/cash-for-clothing items, and I was told, "we're really looking for sweats, clothing with graphics on them, no 3/4 sleeve items, just short or long-sleeve, nothing with any embellishments/buttons, no V-neck. I took a peek on my way out, and they were selling items that met these descriptions. My impression: they were LAZY, and that this particular location caters to teeny-boppers and college kids who don't give a s**t about things that will last or that are of good quality. BTW, I'm not talking desiger-label here, but I'm also not talking about low-budget big-box stores either. BOTTOM LINE: Don't waste an entire afternoon loading, unloading, driving in traffic, spending valuable gas money at *this* location. I'll also direct the reader to the other reviews; seems to me that the negative ones outweigh the positive ones, and not just by those trying to sell to this 'establishment.' I will be taking my business elsewhere; so much for trying to support a local business! If anyone reading has a recommendation for a reputable consignment/cash-for-clothing establishment, please reply.

Yeah, no more haggling, but at least it will be a lot less pressure for those who are uncomfortable with negotiating. In conjunction, some of the prices of the clothing will be adjusted... so maybe that amazing paillette jacket will be cheaper now? Also, I've learned something recently, having become acquainted with the owner. Y'know how it might be kind of intimidating/irritating when the shopkeeper tries to talk to you/make comments about what you're browsing? Well, I always found it that way. All in all, it's just the keeper trying to be friendly, not necessarily trying to pressure you into buying something. Ain't nothin' wrong with trying to be nice.
