Here's my prior review: We had our kitchen sink clog up. We had another company (highly rated on Angie's List) come out to fix it. Despite working on it over two days and with about 8 hours of work ... no luck in fixing it! To their credit, they only charged for the outside hydrojet service. They left things suggesting we call a larger company. So, we had Mike Diamond come out. They tried diligently but after two hours of "snaking" our drain, they gave up. To their credit they did not charge for the attempt. They suggested getting a "rooter" specialist with a 100 foot snake. So we found Unique Plumbing & Rooter. Armen was right on the job and cleared the clog with his super snake! Maybe the other guys assisted in loosening things up, but the guy who clears the clog gets the credit! Armen has to be the neatest plumber ever as well as the most charming. He is now our plumber for life! read more

Yesterday Mr. Armen came to fix the leak in my sink by installing a new water faucet. We also have some problem with 2 toilet bowl and he replaced both rubber stopper which made the flush working again. I have used Mr. Armen many times since 2015 and my experience with his professional expertise is amazing. He charges a reasonable rate and he proposed the best solution to your situation so you wont have the same problem for a long time. Our kitchen sink was leaking very badly so I called my neighbor, who recommended Armen. He was very nice and gave me a low quote to seal the pipes. Armen was a very nice fellow who responded promptly to my need to replace my home's pressure regulator. The pressure after replacement clearly showed 60 psi so all seemed good and the $450 I paid him seemed steep but worth it. But I quickly noticed my house water pressure plummeting a few minutes after running water in a sink, or while running a shower or flushing a toilet. I called Armen and asked what could be wrong. He said I should buy a pressure gauge and check around the house... no offer to come back and check his work himself. A few days later I discovered the problem: Armen had left the water main valve from the meter barely open... meaning it's GPM flow was severely restricted. I opened it fully and all was well. I sent Armen photos of the valve he'd left closed and asked several times if he understood he'd left the valve closed... no response. None whatsoever. I even left a message asking if he'd received my note and photos. Crickets. I'm not angry, just perplexed at Armen's lack of response for an issue that he - the professional - could have and should have found and fixed quickly. read more

Armen arrived promptly; within the timeframe I had been told. He is professional and polite. He unclogged the toilet in minutes. This sounds like a simple thing and not too much to expect. What could go wrong? But judging from reviews of some other plumbers here on Yelp, it seems that a prompt response within the stated timeframe, a professional approach and a job well done and quickly finished cannot always be taken for granted. If you have a plumbing issue, these guys are the ones to help you! We shopped around for both knowledge, experience and price and these guys fit the bill. We had a burst water pipe underground and had to repair and repipe the line, run a new hot water line to the kitchen and decided to change the water heater to a larger tank while we were at it and they took care of it all and answered all my curios questions along the way. My husband did the patch work for the walls we had to open and they worked in unison together to get he process done strategically. The entire process and ordeal was very stressful for me considering I had a new born in the house and the guys moved some dates around to accommodate the project and get things done quickly for us. They did a clean job, covered my kitchen while working in my space and we felt the price was fair. Plumbing problems can become stressful and these guys didn't add to that stress. Overall, they did a great job in helping us explore our options while we discussed how to run the new line and executed as discussed. I would also recommend going with their leak director guy. We had to call the leak detector twice and I felt the one they had come out vs the one insurance recommends, theirs was much more through. I was experiencing a nightmare with my home remodel and these guys literally saved me from the abyss... To make a long tale of agony very short, I was left with a half-done remodel job and no functioning kitchen or bathrooms...for a month! I had depleted my budget on an unreliable sub-contractor who I payed too much up front. He strung me along and never came back to finish the job. I called Mike Diamond, and they wanted to charge me $79 just to look at my stuff and, contrary to what they say on their commercials, they don't quote any estimates over the phone. Then I called another "big" plumbing company that quoted me a ridiculous price just to connect my fixtures and said because they hadn't started the job, he was reluctant to even do it at all. Thanks a lot guy! I was at the end of my rope when Mike and Armen from Unique Plumbing and Rooter showed up. Nice, polite and friendly faces who listened to me explain my situation. They understood that I had been living in my place for a month without running water or even a sink and truly sympathized with me. They agreed to do the work for a what I had to spend. None of that "sorry, but the price book says..." b.s. Since it was late in the day on a Saturday they said they wouldn't leave until I had at least a functioning bathroom. They worked well into the evening and I had a bathroom! They came back Monday morning and finished the job, tweaking everything until I was totally satisfied. I was referred to Armen & Mike through my real estate agent. They arrived on time and were courteous and professional. I had one leaky toilet and both toilets were running for a very long time. They worked quickly and efficiently and were a pleasure to talk with regarding all my plumbing needs. About an hour after they left it appeared that one of the seals on the toilet was dripping water. I discovered water leaking out under my dishwasher when it was not running. My garbage disposal was also leaking. I scheduled an appt with another plumber who never showed up. I specifically took the day off so I could deal with this problem, so I needed someone to come that day. I went to Angie's list and found Unique. I called them around 11am. They needed to check with their technicians to see if they could squeeze me in. They called me back in an hour and said they could have someone there around 5pm. I told them that was the time I needed to leave my house to pick up my kids from school, and he said the technician would wait for me to get home. To my surprise they called a couple of hours later and said they could come at 3pm. Even better! He arrives, pulls out my dishwasher and points out that all of the lines are fine...it's a problem with my dishwasher itself, which they can't fix. OK, so on to the garage disposal. I had already bought one and just needed it installed. Once he got under the kitchen sink he discovered that my metal drain was trash from rust and had a major whole in it. He suggested I switch to PVC, or I would have the same problem again. Having replaced this drain 2 other times in the last 5 years, I knew he was right. So, I didn't get my original water leak fixed, but they did install my disposal (which was leaking), repaired another leak I didn't know existed, and were able to accommodate my need for a same day appt. Shower water leak. I called my usual plumber and he came and said he thinks it was a tile leak and said he could not do the job. I called Armen and explained the problem to him by phone.
