This was the best experience I've ever had with a plumber. I called Zlatko about a year ago to root out a blocked sewer line, and he took a video of the pipe and showed me that there were lots of cracks and that it would probably need to be replaced soon. He never tried to pressure me, but he was right. A year later it was blocked again, so this time I called him to do the permanent fix. He was able to come out the same day with a crew and start work. It was a big job, involving rooting out the clay pipe leading to the street, and then relining it. I was worried they would have to excavate the whole pipe, but they only had to dig a small hole and was able to insert a liner into the pipe to ensure a good seal. The next day they came back to finish the job, replacing a length of old cast iron pipe under the house. I can't say enough good things about Z and his crew. He is prompt, kept me updated as the work progressed, and he and his crew did meticulous work - even down to replacing the plants they dug up in the exact same spots! This was a big job - and expensive - but Z's price was more than fair. I won't hesitate to call him again. If you have a sewer line problem call Z - you'll be happy you did. Another first for me on here it would be a five star review for a plumber. I usually try to go by word of mouth or referrals from friends, but as of a few weeks ago, was literally getting the same answer, "I can't find anybody great, but if you find one, let me know". So I'm letting you all know! Szlatko is that rare plumber who not only will take your calls to answer all the questions that would leave most plumbers rolling their eyes, but ALSO scheduled around my work schedule to deal with both non-emergent and emergent situation's in upgrading my kitchen. As every homeowner can relate, what started out as being a simple "Can we swap this out...?" became a bit more involved when repair work was discovered and necessary. He was reassuring, calm, kind, patient, and communicative throughout the entire 2 hours. When he was done, he asked me to take a look, and showed me how to work the new faucet, and THEN made sure that I was happy. We also addressed other plumbing issues around my home, and he graciously gave me full transparency as to what was necessary to make the repairs, was kind, and patient AGAIN with all my questions, and we agreed to move on to stage two upgrading one of the bathrooms. Price-wise he is incredibly competitive with every other plumber you will get a quote from. In fact, he was about $100 less than every other licensed and insured plumbers in the San Fernando Valley... which is astonishing because he does far better work than anyone I've had here in the 16 years in this location. Not that this really matters in terms of quality of service, but he's also incredibly professional, and all of those commercials, poking fun at the "hygiene" of plumbers doesn't even exist in the same universe. He shows up seriously looking like he is ready for a photo shoot. 100% well groomed, almost like a plumber in a movie :-) Again, completely irrelevant to the quality of the service, but since there's a lot of commercials that seem to focus on the "Hygiene" of plumbers, figured it was worth mentioning that this guy sets a gold standard in terms of a pleasant surprise when you open your door. =) (And in reference to those commercials that talk about a "smell good Plumber" - he's got that locked-down, too :-) He came back a week later to completely replace my 'filtration' system and was SO patient with the crazy new high-end system - it took quite a number of steps - and he carefully ensured everything was correct. He even checked in with me to ensure I was happy with all the placements and locations - and said it was me the homeowner who needed to be happy, since it's my home. SO so great. How many plumbers are willing to slow down to ensure you are that happy??? Even when he has tons of other jobs to get to?? Amazing. Every single rave review you read about him is true. I cannot recommend highly enough, so whatever might be going on that has anything to do with PLUMBING- -you'll want to call Szlatko first. If it's not something that he can handle in a timely fashion, he will also be transparent - he is very much in demand, so you may need to wait a few days (potentially) if it's not a true emergency. Among them, Mr. Pipe Plumbing and Rooter provided a competitive quote, but what made them stand out was Zlatko's communication and professionalism compared to the others. I had a sewage back up from the clean out in front of my house. After a failed attempt by another plumber, a friend recommended Zlatko, aka Mr. Pipe. He sent over a team that same day, headed by a knowledgeable guy named Brian. I am always suspicious hiring contractors and was no less so when I called Mr. Pipe. I'm happy to report the second try was a success! After hydro jetting to no avail, they rootered with a fast spinning chain and then fed a camera through the pipe. I saw collapsed pipe sections invaded with roots. As if that wasn't bad enough, Brian went under my 1948 house and found original pipes leaking that needed to be replaced (also documented with photos). I consulted with my contractor partner and decided to bite the bullet and do it all at once. Then, to my delight Zlatko liaised with my insurance company and helped me to recoup about of 70% of that cost!
