Kellye and Crew just completed our backyard renovation. Kellye came to our home a couple of months back and looked at our backyard and had great ideas right off the bat. We found her easy and welcoming to talk to. Over the next month we refined the design, and she was always available to talk to us and address our concerns. After signing the contract, her team got to work almost immediately. The crew was on time everyday at sharp 8am. Materials were delivered as planned and anything added or removed in the scope of work was discussed on time. The team did an excellent job with giving us finished and low maintenance backyard! I would happily recommend them to everyone. read more

I have just finished my fifth and final project with these guys and I can't find a superlative high enough for my recommendation. First, the crews are amazing- not just hard working, polite, and ever accommodating - the quality of their work is...insane. Victor deserves credit for assembling these talented crews. These young men are true artisans- and seem to have an uncanny ability to make the end product...stunning (see pics below). I've really grown to love this company- and the quality of their work- and I've got to mention: Kellye. She's has endless energy as well as a wealth of knowledge and experience- and her word is gold. I'd keep paving with this gem of a company- but I need to come up with something to pave... read more

We were so impressed with everything about Unique Paver Stones, Kellye French and her team! Our 10 year old Connecticut Blue Stone patio in our backyard started lifting, buckling and cracking right through the middle. I called 8 different paver companies to see if they did repairs and not a one would even come out to look at it. Kellye knew right away over the phone that her team could handle it. She was confident, knowledgeable and pleasant. She came out the next day and got us scheduled inside of a week. Once they demoed, they found a PVC pipe had cracked due to the pressure. A previous contractor had laid the concrete bed on top of two PVC cap offs and had not drilled in between this existing patio and blue stone that was added to a couple of years later. They also found some invasive tree roots. Everything was repaired and done properly. The estimate was a 3-day job and they finished in 2 days! The crew was respectful of the property, easy to communicate with and cleaned up the job site at the end of the first day. The contracting process was easy and professional. The port-a-potty was removed a day sooner. Couldn't be more pleased! 10 stars to Kellye and her team! read more

Amazing team. I met with Kellye, she had my patio designed in 2 seconds, great ideas, great vision, always in contact with me which is important. Victor and his team did a phenomenal job, they were professional, on time, didn't miss a beat. Victor was always available to answer any question we had. They started working on it earlier than projected and finished in 3.5 days. My patio turned out even better then i anticipated. Simply awesome. I could not be happier. Thank you and thanks to your team, class act. read more

Absolute studs. Kellye is a savant. As soon as she walked into my front yard, the ideas were flowing. She was visualizing what my yard could look like. How to save money in some spots. Now to spend money in others. She was very responsive. We chatted over Yelp text message many times and she was always available to give me ideas. Unfortunately we weren't able to use her because we did concrete instead of pavers but she's at the top of my list if I can't do the landscaping design and work myself. Absolutely pleasure to meet her and joy to have her in my home, coming up with ideas. You would do well to hire her and her team. Your home will thank you, the future buyers of your home will thank you, and so will your wallet on that resell value. read more

Cannot recommend this company enough!!!! Our yard, although small, was pretty challenging because it was REALLY uneven. There were a lot of tight corners to work around. The builders had also made this weird concrete that was the width of the door and then just ended abruptly so we were always worried about falling. Kellye's consultation was great. She got an idea of what we wanted and gave her recommendations. Both in things that we should get but also things that she though we should avoid because it wasn't cost-effective. Kellye and her team came in and TRANSFORMED the area. They are so professional. The demo team really levelled out the land and did a great job prepping. As they were installing everything else, I saw the guys out there with levels making sure that our walls were level and the all the water drains correctly. The corners of our steps look SO GOOD. Most companies do that thing where they build across all the way and meet the other edge but they made a DIAGONAL CORNER. It's details like that that REALLY impressed me. read more

We hired these guys to pave around our home after getting bids from several companies. Victor is an expert in dealing with our local soil conditions in Diablo foothills, and Kellye is an awesome designer and project manager, who can make a complex design vision happen. They have done an amazing job and kept up with our minor modifications and asks along the way. The crew consists of all full-time employees and they do their job with pride. They kept the work site very clean during the project too. read more

We had a major landscaping job done in our yard last year. Going in, we had a broad idea about what we wanted but didnt really know how to go about it. Kellye was able to translate our vague idea into a beautiful design that was exactly what we wanted. But that is not all. Kellye, Victor and their team of professionals knew exactly what they were doing, and committed to delivering with quality and on time (unlike every other contractor I have worked with). There were no surprises on the deliverables or the price or the schedule. And best of all, if there are any issues in the future, they will come back out to take care of them. Today, we have a beautiful backyard that is exactly what we wanted (THANK YOU!) and I highly recommend you talk to this team before you start work on your project. read more

I just wanted to give Kellye (who is a Danville local) a shout out from Unique Paver Stones for her help in getting my outdoor BBQ finished. Her and team did an awesome job of getting the pavers installed so we could start the project. We were so happy with the service that we would recommend their work for any paver installations. read more

We couldn't be more happier with the results from Unique Paver Stones- Victor and his crew were attentive to our needs, gave us thoughtful recommendations and finished the project within our timeline and budget. What more can I say- if you need pavers, fire pits, benches, artificial grass and landscape lighting- call Victor. I did my research and was not disappointed with the results The best part- the crew was extremely careful entering/exiting the backyard, adjusted the plan to our needs and were professional and courteous. read more

We purchased our home a little over a year ago, we found out there was a major flooding of water during the rainy season and needed to get proper drainage along with replacing grass in our yard having two dogs. Unique pavers not only fixed the drainage issues, they removed all the large rock, trees and bushes that I wanted to get rid of. I chose turf to replace the grass and I am so happy with the results! One of my daughters has unique pavers redoing her yard in a couple weeks and another daughter wants to use their services! Kellye was very friendly, answered all my questions. read more

I don't even know where to begin!! But first off, Kellye and Victor are one amazing team. We dealt with so many awful contractors during our home renovation, but once I found this hard working and honest team, my hope for humanity was saved, as well as my sanity. Their extensive attention to detail, and the love and respect for their work is by far the best I've ever seen. Kellye taught me SO very much about contracts, working with contractors, paver installation, etc., that I can say I am a stronger homeowner now than before I found this outstanding company. If you're wavering between concrete overlay and pavers, go with the pavers every single time. The price difference is minute, and the longevity of the pavers is worth every penny. Thank you soooo very much to Kellye and Victor for working so diligently with us, being so agile to the changes and evolution of our paver project, and for caring and loving what you do every single day. I am beyond thankful that we found you and had the privilege of working with you and your amazing team! Pictures to come soon... read more

Kellye and Victor are a great team. Very honest and genuine in their work. They had the best price and great service. I highly recommend this company. They have integrity. I had a job which required rebuilding a retaining wall at our home. This did ultimately require permits and structural engineering. Kellye met with us, and while she was unable to take on this particular job due to its size and scope, she understood what we needed, and she gave an outstanding referral to an engineer who did a fantastic job for us. I've very grateful and would not hesitate to use this company for landscaping/hardscaping projects in the future! read more

We just had our pavers installed with unique paver stones and I am extremely satisfied with their work. The crew was on time each day and worked hard, utilizing their hours fully. They were very flexible with any changes we had to make while the project was on. They know their work and are very detail oriented. Before we went with Unique pavers, we had about 7-8 quotes from other companies and found these guys very reasonable. Kelley and victor are a great team. I highly recommend Unique pavers to anyone who's looking for a hassle and stress free paver projects! read more

Unique Paver Stones has been re-doing the front yard for one of our neighbors and my toddler has absolutely loved going to watch them every day. He is particularly obsessed with their skid steer, and after watching them work for 2 weeks, today they gave him a toy skid steer that matched their real skid steer perfectly! He is overjoyed and I am impressed with their thoughtfulness. So while I can't speak to working with them, the neighbor's pavers look great and the company clearly has kind and thoughtful employees. Thank you for making my son's day! read more

I recently hired Victor Carrea from Unique Paver Stones to pave my backyard and redo my front lawn with fake grass. I got my entire backyard pave within one week while the front yard took only 3 days. I can not be more happy with his workmanship and professionalism. I highly recommend Victor Carrea's team for all paving or fake grass replacements. I didn't have to do anything. He took care of everything for me from begin to end. I felt overnight, he turned my yards from dream to reality and within budget. If every contractor is like him, I can handle many projects all at once. He is my dream contractor. read more

Kellye came to my house 15 minutes late to her appointment on a Friday afternoon which didn't bother me at all. She said she sent an email to let me know but I told her I didn't get an email. Gave me good suggestions on designing my small backyard. Before she left, I asked if I can get a quote that night or next day. She said, yes. Saturday came, no call nor email from her so I followed up with a phone call to leave her a voicemail and a text in the afternoon, she texted me back and said "I will call you later". Didn't call back, I had to send a text again and then she said quote will be ready Sunday afternoon. It's now Monday and still no response from her. I'm so disappointed with this company. Kellye just wasted my time! Set your expectations with your clients properly. Kellye- I want to respond to the comment that you wrote this afternoon on my Yelp review. First of all, you were the one who called me this morning after reading this Yelp review asking if I can give you another chance when you did not set correct expectations and that it was completely your fault. Hence, why are you pointing fingers to me now? I only agreed to move forward with you since I thought your apology was sincere. You sent me your quote which was almost $3k over Systems Pavers (a company 3x+ bigger than your company). You made suggestions on how to decrease the quote and emailed me an amount $6k less than original, $24k. I did not ask you to do the project for $15k nor even $13k, SO THAT'S A COMPLETE LIE!! I simply told you that my budget was originally $15k but was open to hearing your suggestions to decrease the cost from $30k that you originally quoted. After I received your $24k updated quote, I sent you an email back and said that I decided not to move forward with you. You replied back asking me to update my review on yelp and I responded. Screenshots of email exchange below. Please take accountability for what truly happened here and maybe I can update my review. Marietta, "Thank you for letting me know. Would it be possible to update your Yelp review? I would appreciate it as I really do care about my clients and their project. When I came over I was concerned about your drainage and not about trying to sell you anything unnecessary. I also emailed you that I was going to be late and this morning let you know your estimate was done and after that time is when you posted your review. We work hard for our clients and your review affects not only me but 15 others in our company. Kellye" Kellye, I try to be as honest as I could on all my reviews with no bias as I know it doesn't just affect one person but all employees and owners of the company. 1. You were late to your appointment but you said you sent an email which I said to you that I did not receive no email from you prior to your arrival nor after. 2. I agree that you made a good recommendations in the drainage which I  have noted on my review -" you gave good suggestions on designing my small backyard ". 3. I texted you this morning that I have not received a quote from you that you promised to send Sunday afternoon. You replied it's done but did not send it anyways. 4. I posted my review after you replied to my text saying-"you understand and best luck on my project". Marietta read more
