I had the same experience as a couple of other people who have left reviews. Greg is a nice guy,…read moreand I really like him personally, which is why I honestly didn't want to have to write this review. However, I feel like my job was relatively small and simply wasn't a high priority. I was originally told the job would take about 4-5 days, but it ended up taking closer to three months. Greg told me they would start on June 22, but that didn't happen. I believe they actually started the work around July 28 and finally finished on August 24. There were several times when the guys were supposed to show up in the morning, but they wouldn't arrive until the afternoon, would only work for part of the day, or wouldn't show up at all. Greg was always very nice and had an explanation, but the delays became frustrating. Unfortunately, after the job was completed and I had made the final payment, I noticed there was a gap underneath my gate where the turf did not cover the ground. I first contacted Greg about it on August 27, and a month later, I'm still trying to get it fixed. I've attached a picture so you can see the issue. Greg told me he doesn't have any extra turf left to fill the gap, but said he would come back and replace the bricks that were there previously. I'm still waiting to see if that happens. Overall, Greg is a nice person and I believe he means well, but based on my experience, I would recommend making sure you have a clear timeline before hiring them. If you have a larger project, you may have a different experience, but if you have a smaller job, I would personally consider getting another company to do it. I'll update this review if and when the gap is finally fixed. I guess all I had to do was post this review because Greg came by and fixed it today so I added a star to my review.

Green Planet Landscaping has earned a Five-Star rating for their installation of the artificial…read morelawn in our father's front yard. The natural grass was hard to maintain, since the sprinklers were not functioning properly, but the artificial lawn has vastly improved the curb appeal of our father's property. Without increasing estimated costs, Green Planet Landscaping surprised us with an additional amenity that actually rectified an issue raised by the local HOA. Thus, we are 110 percent satisfied with their service. Inasmuch as I live several hours away from Brentwood and Discovery Bay, I did not have the pleasure of meeting Alan in person. However, our communications were very effective and I am delighted to have completed this task as our father's Power-of-Attorney.

After living in our home for a year, it was time to redesign our backyard. I submitted a price quote request on Yelp and received a few responses to schedule a consultation. After meeting with other landscape companies, my choice was to go with Alan at Green Planet Landscape. It wasn't just about the price quote, but Alan's thoughtful ideas and recommendation made us trust him even more with the project. He would make sure our backyard would look amazing and presentable. He drew a sketch design for us to submit to the HOA. After we got an approval from the HOA for the project, Alan scheduled us within a few days. Alan first introduced me to Angel to have him do a walkthrough around the backyard. We had them install stone walls, pavers, artificial turf, and planter beds. The project lasted about 3 days and they did a fantastic job on transforming our backyard. My wife is so in love with plants and was very happy they planted her plants in the soil. Our dogs were so excited and love playing on the turf. I would highly recommend Green Planet Landscape. We finally are comfortable to contact them in the near future.

He brought really great design ideas and suggestions to transform our front and back yard. It actually started as a backyard only project, but seeing how amazing the work was, the project expanded to redoing our front yard. We now have usable outdoor space for our kids to play, hang out as a family, and to entertain guests (after covid). We are totally blown away with the work they did and only wish we had found Klaus sooner. Our project included: pavers, pergola, installing sod, new fence, mulch, decomposed granite, irrigation, planting trees, leveling our backyard The guys (Benjamin, Jose, and Rogelio) were consistently at our house everyday, and if there was any change in schedule, Klaus very clearly communicated with us. We also appreciated the covid precautions taken by always wearing masks and socially distancing with us. Overall the guys were very polite, hard working, and kind. We felt completely comfortable having them at our house for 6 weeks. We'll be back to finish our driveway and looking forward to working with Klaus, Benjamin, Jose and Rogelio again. It's also worth mentioning that our neighbor's keep complimenting the work we've had done and asking for Klaus's business card so they can have work done as well.

Ve estimated 6 weeks to complete the project (big project - 5000 sq ft) and it took 5.5 weeks. Mind you this was all dirt before Ve took it in. From the very start Todd was excellent with communication,…read morealways available to answer our many questions and never left us waiting even when he was out of town a couple times. We hired him to build our pool based off his great reputation, no BS upfront demeanor, outstanding communication and by far the best design. He wasn't our cheapest quote (I got 6!- with a project this large we wanted to be thorough) but he did work with us on cost by taking out a few things in the original design like the landscaping which we decided we would do on our own. Some highlights of our experience: -The build went extremely fast, demo and the entire dig itself were done in 4 days! -Todd and his team went above and beyond in so many ways, taking care of a few things that they ran into that were not in the contract to do, just out of generosity, like flushing the drain pipes in the backyard, backfilling the trenches left from the excavator and even putting down some seed to help us start to repair the lawn damage. -the concrete done was great! We have a unique patio with flagstone stamping and a color which has faded quite a bit. Todd was able to do really well matching the old concrete so that it flows well with our existing patio. -Todd's Foreman and whole team are so hardworking and respectful, they left the site clean every day. -We honestly didn't have very many hiccups throughout the process, or if there were Todd and his team took care of them. -you so many times hear of contractors charging all sorts of extra things that come up throughout the process. That did not happen. We did end up running into a few things that required additional payments but they were of no fault of Todd or his team. The county required a land survey to be done after permits were approved so that was extra, and during the dig they found a very random sewage line that didn't appear to be up to code so he suggested we have a plumber come out. And it was a good thing he caught that because turned out the sewage line was filled with dirt and connected to our main line! Would have been a crappy situation had he not suggested we take care of it (pun intended). The only few things we encountered were very minor and all handled promptly- the stacked stone on a raised wall had some huge cracks, but we informed masonry and Todd and they took care of it immediately. I think the only other thing was how much space the pool equipment ended up taking up. From the 3D design it appeared much smaller in the area chosen than in real life, but that's to be expected with those programs. I dont think they can really show scale 100%. So at first I was a bit concerned, but now that it's all up and running it's very manageable and there isn't really another space all the equipment could have gone anyway. Overall we are so pleased with our pool, so thankful to Todd and his team and so ready to enjoy many memories for years to come with our family.
