    Tasso plate

Some of the best Haitian food I ever had. Always been a fan of griot (pork) but I was recommended to try the Tasso plate and now that's all I order. Service and ambiance is always welcoming.

So my friend bought me some food from here. Said they had the best fried Turkey... I have never been to the establishment only had this plate. It came with rice and plantains. The Turkey was seasoned good but some pieces were too hard. The black rice definitely delicious and the plantains were super salty I could not eat them...

    So bitter no taste

It's usually good but however today it was horrible the food was so bitter I probably won't come back

The food was delicious. Well worth the wait. It was packed though, so it was expected that I would have wait a little. At least they had TVs so my guest and so were able to keep occupied as we waited. Definitely coming back! Reasonably priced! I attached a photo of the Griot, rice and fried banana

My father in-law took us to eat lunch here today and I immediately had to write a review on my experience. I'm in town visiting and really haven't had any spots to brag on during my stay until today. The food was awesome and authentic! They also give large potions which make it easy to share. I've had plenty of Hatian food but this place out beat some places in NJ. Plus they were clean and polite. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like Hatian food!

Ah bon real authentic Haitian food. Born and raised in The Bahamas to Haitian parents I experienced the best of both worlds when it came to food. If you're not familiar with Haitian food then I suggest you try the griot which is fried pork chunks with either fried plantins or with rice, not a pork eater then you can try the turkey tasso (fried turkey chunks), chicken with an amazing sauce, fish either fried or stew, goat, conch, oxtail and lots more...oh Also try the legumes, my all time fav Haitian dish...it's eggplant with cabbage, carrots, spinach, watercress, Lima beans & chayote, that can have crab or beef mixed in it, get it with white rice with bean sauce (black or pinto beans). There's so many little items you can try, but I hope you do try them out. And as for the place it needs a little tender loving care when it comes to decorating, the darkish interior needs to go...but it's not too bad. Mwen espere ou renmen manje a!! "I hope you love the food"

love love love this place. i used eat at hatian "takeout" in DelRay when i lived there. and this place is actually a NICE resturaunt... which is just as cheap. $10. i come here a few times a month. im huge on ethnic resturaunts. & i really dont care about customer service. im also a waitress so i know how annoying customers can be. but i do have to say ive been treated very nice there. the girls are sweethearts.

I believe they have the best Haitian food in pompano/deerfield area. Best place to start if you have never had Haitian food.

Revelry is definitely a unique spot with a really fun atmosphere. They have different seating areas, including couches and traditional tables, and there are also games you can take out and play. It feels like a great place to hang out with friends and spend a few hours. One of the highlights was the live music. They had two different bands performing, one from 12-2 and another from 2-4, so there was plenty of entertainment throughout brunch. Although this wasn't one of their regular burlesque brunches, they also had a burlesque dancer come out between the bands for a short performance, which was a fun surprise and added to the experience. The brunch menu had a nice variety, including shrimp and grits, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and vegetarian options. My friends and I all ended up ordering the chicken sandwich, which was really good! You can choose your side, and we went with the breakfast potatoes. They also have lots of specialty cocktails and drinks to choose from. The restaurant definitely got pretty busy as the afternoon went on, so I would recommend making a reservation, especially for Sunday brunch. Overall, Revelry is a fun and different place to enjoy brunch, live music, drinks, and time with friends. I really enjoyed the tiki theme and the lively atmosphere and would definitely come back!

We had open table reservations so we were seated right away...the hostess was was very friendly as were our servers...we started with one guy but then we had another lady soon after. We ordered drinks to start...Pinot grigio for me and Corona for the hubby. We looked over the menu a bit and started off with 3 shareables..the eggplant with honey, shisito peppers and octopus gallega...The eggplant with honey was an interesting dish (in a good way) and very tasty...they peppers were good as well but my husband wasn't a fan of the octopus gallega. For the 2nd round, we ordered another round of drinks and then the pan con tumaca, manchego croquettes and octopus in garlic sauce. I loved the toast with tomato "jam" as well as the manchego croquettes...I would re-order both of these. My husband wasn't a fan of the octopus in garlic sauce as he felt it was a bit too salty. He also ordered another dish, the seafood salpicon and this dish he really loved! For dessert we opted for the crema catalana...similar to a creme brulee...it was good...I also had a latte which was a nice accomplishment to the dessert. After dinner we headed to their Hidden Speakeasy (behind the pantro door). In there we each had another drink to end the evening. They do have a food menu in there which was different from the restaurant. It would be fun to just come with a group of friends and chill for a while. All in all, a tasty meal and a fun date night!

There was one other table of patrons when we arrived, but we were the only people in the place until we left. The eatery offers lunch specials, but we went specifically for the half price paella (on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). We started with the pulpo ajillo appetizer, which is octopus in a red wine and garlic sauce. It was tender and delicious. For our paella we ordered the mixto version with chicken, shrimp, scallops, mussels, octopus, and squid. The squid melted in your mouth. The scallops were divine (even though they were the small bay scallops). Everything else in the paella was good, but I thought the rice was a bit too moist. Traditional paella should feature rice that is firm and not sticky. I even like the crispy crust that can form at the bottom. This paella did not feature either. We shared a creme brulee for dessert. It had thick caramelized sugar on top but the custard was very milky and not thick and creamy enough. Our meal for 1 appetizer, 1 paella at half price, 1 dessert, tax, a surcharge for using a credit card, and tip was $74. Service was impeccable.

I agreed that sounded like an excellent idea. Patio Tapas and Beer was supposed to have a good happy hour 5pm-7pm so we went with that. Its located in a tough spot to get a parking spot in South Mizner area, but we got lucky and landed a spot right by the front door. They had just moved to this new location from nearby a few months ago. It still felt kinda new inside in a good way. There wasn't many people there when we arrived. We were able to easily get a couple spots at their nice oaken bar. There were a handful of friendly staff there that were quick with some wine and some of their happy hour Montaditos. We tried the sangria as well which they had a large container of on the bar. We tried the potatoes, duck breast, shrimp, and Jamon iberico and manchego. Everything was darn good, the iberico possibly the best. Oh, and the Spanish omelet was a nice bite as well. It was a nice happy hour; much better than going to the gym. They still have patio seating, which is smaller but slightly better views. Service is always good, attentive, and helpful. We usually come for happy hour to take advantage of their large menu of montaditos. I think they're all pretty good but our favorites are the piquillo relleno--a small, whole stuffed red pepper with goat cheese, the classic pan con tomate, churrasco, and cordero estofado. I would say those are the most flavorful ones and on our regular rotation. They also have an almond cake we always order that is imported from Spain. Served warm and à la mode, it has a little crusty edge and a very moist, dense crumb. Not too sweet. Sometimes they serve it drizzled with chocolate and I prefer it without.

The HH menu offers 5 plates for $35 so we ordered: Filet Slider, Wings, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, spicy fried shrimp and ribs with coleslaw and corn. Everything was good and it was enough food for two people replacing dinner with a happy hour. We each had two drinks and ended with a highly excellent bread pudding with ice cream and Carmel topping. Worth mentioning is my pet peeve (not enough ice cream) was completely avoided- the ice cream was creamy and enough for a nice scoop with every bite. Also the music was great, not too loud and great play list. Our new fav happy hour. Tip- parking facing the street is free but facing the building is pay.
