La Granja which is Spanish for The Farm, is a chain of Peruvian restaurants that was founded in Aruba by chef Gustavo Bartra in 1993. Opened in 1995, this location in a former Taco Bell is the very first in Florida. From here they have grown to 50 restaurants from Miami to Orlando. They are now the largest Peruvian restaurant chain outside of Peru. La Granja offers inexpensive lunch specials. Popular menu items include ceviche, rotisserie chicken with rice and beans, grilled steak, and seafood platters. Meat is seasoned with their secret blend of Peruvian spices. Sides include fried yucca, fried bananas, tostones, and sweet potato fries. Family meals start at $44.25 and include several meats, large sides, and sodas. Try an Inca Cola, a delicious Peruvian soda similar to a cream soda. Dessert options include flan, tres leches, rice pudding, or chocolate cake. The inside of the restaurant is small and clean with bright yellow and red brick walls. You can sit at tables or in booths. I tried to order the number 17 mixed sauté with beef, chicken, and noodles but somehow ended up with a number 11 with mixed sauté streak, chicken, rice, and French fries. It was still good and I tried dipping the fries in some of the different sauces. The portion was huge and I Ioved the flavor of the meat. The beef was very tender. I didn't have room for dessert but the chocolate cake looked good. If you are looking for fast and wallet friendly meal, La Granda is a great choice.

This is the number 6 lunch special. The fish had good flavor and was tasty. The rice and beans are the best of any mainstream Latin restaurant, with some of the best sauces in the game!

My Macho Fish was made to order. Fish was nice and crispy and the sauce flavorful. Tostones hot and crispy. This is a must try!

My macho fish is a must try! Fish was made to order crispy and flavorful. Tostones hot and crispy. This place is a must try!

1/2 chicken was perfectly seasoned, possessed addictively spiced skin, and super tender! So many delicious sauces to choose from as well!

Have you ever felt sick of everything in your area and want a change to your local restaurant options. Well, that was me last night. Being unsure on where to go, Pops and I decided to take a drive to our local La Granja! Going inside, there was a good amount of seating and limited wait. We ordered a half chicken with rice & beans and plantains with 2 drinks for $15! Moving into my review, all these years, I thought la brasa and pollo tropical was the best in terms of quality and bang for your buck, but I was wrong. That 1/2 chicken was perfectly seasoned, possessed addictively spiced skin, and super tender! The yellow rice was fluffy, black beans creamy, and ripe sweet plantains. Moreover, there were plenty of tasty sauce options from the cilantro green sauce to creamy white sauce and their spicy red. Overall, highly impressed with my visit to La Granja, and would give our experience a 5/5!

Prefer white rice, but they didn't offer. Still decent chicken breast and plantains, hard to mess that up. Lol

The service is probably the worst I've seen in years, and that's tough and tragic for me to say. I've been coming here for almost 20 years and though the service has steadily been decreasing, today was too funny to be true. No compromise, no smile, no thank you or please come again. Wow, that felt super unwelcoming to say the least, definitely won't be coming back. It wasn't because they increased their prices (significantly), it wasn't because the quality of the food went from mid-high to low, it wasn't because I craved them that I came in. I was simply starving, and though McDonald's is literally right down the street from this location, 1/4 of their price, and pretty good customer service, but because at least through everything I genuinely believed the service was pleasantly decent. It has always felt welcoming, even if you weren't up to come anymore. Nope, that feeling has been taken away too. I'm very disappointed at this location, they're right off of Atlantic Blvd, across the street from a gas station in the city of Margate. Now something that is good, is the atmosphere the customers bring, when I say the customers who come are inclusive and kind, my words do no justice. Good people who've had la granja in the past and had an amazing experience, always come back. They come back grateful and with a smile. I met the sweetest couple visiting from Cali, may their trip back home be safe and they have a beautiful holiday, as well as the family and young gentleman who held the door for me, god bless them. The people in the line, were kind, and made room, etc. the customers who come in will make you feel better then the customer service experienced today. So that would be the only reason to come in, as unfortunate as that is for me to say, it's the truth. I'm half Peruvian, so I cook the exact same things they "sell", however their food is no longer authentic. Trust me I can tell. Their service was decently good, at least it was. :( I'd say try the other location down the street, that's right you heard me there's more, one off of 441 & Atlantic Blvd. buo be honest it's becoming increasingly difficult to find good authentic Peruvian food. You could say I'm picky, you could say I've refined my tastebuds, but trust me I know the recipe. No one follows the recipe anymore, and THAT's what makes it authentic. When they make it right, it doesn't matter the price, the look, shoot the service can even mean mug me, but the food will always have me coming back. Not this time, and sadly this will be my last. There's no need yo be a grinch, we already have one. It was a good run la granja, I hope y'all do better and figure it out. You guys use to be the number one spot to stop by. Best of luck everyone, happy holidays!

Customer service is not La Granja's strong suit. The ladies taking your order barely speak while you're placing it. Their roasted chicken is delicious and reasonably priced, which, if I had to guess, is what keeps them in business. As for the restaurant itself, it's nothing special--a bit dingy, in fact. Overall, this place is decent for a quick meal to go.

Man I gotta say, after a hard gym workout or when you're starving La Granja is the perfect place to eat. Been here a couple times in the last few weeks I went once with my mom just now & with my wife last week. There is definitely something about the yellow rice that I really like... maybe it's MSG? I'm kidding. Or maybe it's a little oil & a hint of salt for old-school culinary. Both times I got the boneless chicken breast and then my wife did the same. Today my mom picked the steak which is number 8 on the menu and she gave me her onions! I felt so blessed, lol. The flavor, the way the chicken is grilled with the char is so juicy along with the tenderness of the meat... man you can get lost in a whirlwind of calories here my guy(or gal)! This La Granja location has all what you could ask for. The only thing I notice about this location is the tables are set up uncomfortably close together other than that there really isn't much to complain about as I enjoy scarfing down the food like I haven't eaten since Michael Jordan was a rookie with a full head of hair!

Went during lunch and it was busy but they are fast! Good customer service. There is around five different LaGranjas in a 4 mile radius of me and this is by far the best one! They have a decent seating area inside, and they're always busy. Inside is pretty clean too. The sauces are so delicious!

We always order the same thing. We got our order this time and was shocked to see the portions. The chicken we received was mainly bones and in no way was it 1/4 chicken. Disappointing that they are doing this. Food always taste good but quantity matters as well.

The restaurant felt very welcoming, and the variety of Latin music playing added a fun, lively vibe to the experience. They completely revamped the decor, painted the walls, and replaced the furniture. We were greeted. I asked if he would prefer the burger or carne asada grill. He said they're known for their burgers so we ordered the Gorda Burger Mix, which was the most popular. It had the beef patty and shredded chicken&beef, ours looked like it was missing the pineapple sauce. My favorite part was the melted cheese. I wasn't a big fan since there wasn't much sauce and meat heavy. They did give us 3 sauces on the side, garlic, hot, and pink sauce. I liked the garlic sauce. The empanadas were nice and crispy. I prefer the corn over the flour. These were made of corn for the outer empanada shell. There was more potatoes than meat in all 3 empanadas. The sauce that came with it was delicious, the prefect amount of spice and heat! Service was nice. Greeted walking in and out. Great affordable prices for burgers and protein on the grill. However, the burger and empanadas isn't something id go for again. I saw afterwards that they have hot dogs, looks good.

The music was bumping, people were dancing, and the energy was great. It was just me and my friend, a party of two. One thing I've noticed, though, is that every time I visit, the host tries to seat me away from the action. I asked to sit on the side with the music, and she told me there were no seats available. However, when I pointed out a couple of open tables, she suddenly said we could sit there. SMH. I ordered a Caipirinha, which was great as always. They really know how to make that drink. For my meal, I got the guac burger (no bacon), but it came out with bacon on it. My fries were also lukewarm when they first arrived. I don't eat bacon, so I let the waitress know. She said they'd make another burger, but when it came back, I could tell it was the same one because I had broken the bread the first time, and it was broken in the exact same place. What if I had been allergic? That's really concerning. The fries also seemed like they were just refried. They were darker, harder, and still looked like bottom-of-the-bag fries. I didn't complain, I just made the best of it. To be fair, the actual burger patty was seasoned very well and tasted great. When the bill came, the burger was $2 more than the price listed on the menu. I pointed it out, and the manager explained that prices had increased but they hadn't updated the menu yet. He honored the menu price, as he should. This spot is located in a large plaza with several other businesses, but parking is plentiful, which I appreciate. And honestly, I would visit again because I actually do like this place, it just wasn't a good night service wise. I'd also suggest putting little lamps on the table because its very dark. Thankfully I used my phone light to see that there was bacon my burger and the hostess gave my friend a little flashlight to see the menu. My friend enjoyed her food. This night's experience was a 3 out of 5
