Huge reflexology spa. Parking a little tough but there is a back lot. Bunch of different massages/combos. First time I did a 60 minute combo which was 30minute foot and 30 minute back. It was in the private table section where they did my back first. You keep your underwear on and they use the lotion. Then they do your legs/feet right there. Excellent. $40 Second time I did a 60 minute all back. In the same area/private section. The gentleman used many different stretch's and strengths. I really needed this, but someone who doesn't like such an intense/strong massage may not like this. (For example- I definitely could not fall asleep when I usually do while getting the foot spa). He did everything mostly over the towel and maybe only 10 minutes with lotion. Not sure if this is always the case. $40. read more

Wow. I can't believe I haven't wrote a review for this place yet. I've been going to Unique Spa for a few years since my job requires a lot of physical labor and I don't stretch and tone as well as I should. I usually call ahead to make sure there is an availability, but usually during mornings and afternoons on weekdays, they are not too busy. My favorite is the 30 minute "relaxation" back massage. I'm usually not too picky about my massages, but they do always ask my preference for strength of the massage (I like deep-tissue level massage). 30 minutes is honestly as much as I could handle without being bored out of my mind towards the end. The spa music is soothing and the room light is dim, but you could hardly fall asleep while someone is digging into some gnary knots in your shoulder muscle! And with every masseuse I've had, they pack a lot into those 30 minutes. You get a full on attentive back massage with oil and the hot stones. I have tried the one hour combo as well. Reflexology isn't really my thing, but it was pleasant. The prices, I think, are fairly cheap for comparable massages you could get in the area. It's a necessary treat for me, but I think this place is worth trying out for everyone. read more

I recently went to get a body massage. The experience wasn't great and I was thinking of calling, but based on the last review, I don't want to get into an argument. I had a rough weekend at work, so definitely wanted to get a massage. And now that I reside in Wantagh, I googled this spot, which is not too far from home. Very considerate to squeeze me in; I'm a last minute caller. Went in with high hopes. Background....I've been to several Spas before, great prices all over, but the service is getting worst. At this place, very nice people, but the massage is not very relaxing. The masseuse used his elbow to do pressure point from top to bottom on my spine! As soon as he reached lower mid spine, I thought I was going to be paralyzed. He then used his forearm as a roller on my back, not noticing his elbow still jabbed into my bones as he rolled. My opinion.....I massage is suppose to be relaxing....soft, slow massaging all over the body....rubs, slow motion, relaxing. Not rough, sharp, like your kneading dough. Because it's my 1st time here, I am always willing to give the benefit of the doubt but because my lower back is in major pain and its 3 days now, IDK about giving it a shot. read more

I have been coming here 3-4 times a month for the past 6 months and let me tell you this place is the best. I have had four different female massage therapists and they have all been great. My first visit was an hour massage but I felt so relaxed and stress free afterwards that I decided to schedule a two or three hour full body massage each time, the best decision I made (other than trying this place). I think I may have found a new Sunday tradition. What a wonderful way to spend $28 (38 with well-deserved tip). That's what they charge for a one-hour session, 20 minutes of back, neck and arm massage, while your feet soak, followed by 30 minutes of the most relaxing reflexology on your feet. They wrap you under cloth, cover your eyes and place headphones on you to fill your brain with relaxing, soothing music. What a great service. You will just hate when it's over and your masseur rolls down your pant legs and puts back on your shoes. read more

I had been battling a migraine for two days when I came here. I walked in on Friday early afternoon (no appointment) and explained I just wanted a back/shoulder/neck massage. He did talk me into the whole hour (it's better for you!) but honestly, I was more than willing to go for it. (($25 vs $38). He then radioed for someone to come forward and bring me back. He explained in their native language what I wanted (he pointed to his neck and upper back). I went in the back and was a little put off at first because it was empty. The guy I had didn't speak much and didn't give me instructions on what to do. He drew the curtain closed and I took off my top and put the towel over me. It's as if the guy palpated the spasm in my neck/trap/upper back and focused on it. He did ask if I liked the pressure and at the time I did. He also found some weird spots on me that were tight (Lower back) that I didn't even know hurt until he broke them up. I always get congested from laying face down - he had me flip over (keeping me covered with the towel which I so appreciated) and did a facial massage that completely alleviated the congestion! At the end he used a hot towel to clean up the oil on my back. Overall, headache was relieved. Sinus congestion is gone. I'm a little sore today; so next time I will probably ask that he goes lighter on the pressure. There definitely will be a next time ! Spent $38 + tipped him $20 bc I felt so much better- and if you suffer from migraines you know you'd pay anything for relief ! read more

I have to give this place all 5! I've been pit stopping here for years and they never let me down. A lot of walk in places I've gone too I've either felt like they are either petting me or punching me! I feel they really know there pressure points and reflexology techniques which is very important. I've seen a number of different people and I do tell them what I want and they always apply pressure then ask if it's ok. Today I my back sounded like popcorn popping it cracked so much! Best part of this place is the cost!!! For $49-$50 you can get up to 90 minutes of foot and back massage. This also includes hot stones which also help circulation and ease away the muscle tension. Not Reflexology. If you want to be rubbed with oils in the dark with no pressure (maybe you like that) it's cool. If you're looking for relief of sore muscles and are in need of deep tissue, don't go. I have really sore calves, ankles, and feet from running. I was really hoping to get some relief, but I was just rubbed with a flat hand most of the time. I even got up to show her where to concentrate on my calves and asked her to go harder. Nothin! Not even a good karate chop. They've got their plan and will not listen to any suggestion or instruction. I also asked that she do not do the back or shoulders because I didn't want to have an oily back... you guessed it. She goes and puts oil under my shoulders. I have a very busy schedule and this time had to wait a month to go get a massage. I usually go to Happy Feet in Massapequa but wanted someplace closer. Based off of all the great reviews on this place, I thought nothing of making an appointment here. Sad to say, I left feeling more annoyed than when I came in. The beds are cold; the oil is cold. The woman who massaged me felt like she was vigorously applying spf to my body. There was a second here and there where suddenly pressure was applied, but within 4 seconds, she was back to randomly rubbing my body. I have had enough Chinese massages and regular to know there is some method to this whole thing and the entire time, I felt like this woman was all over the place. My body is still tense and tight and now I will have to wait who knows how long until I can carve away a couple more hours to go back to Happy Feet. She also burped during the process right above my head. Then while I waited for the two women to assist me at the register, they decided to help the woman who came in while I was waiting, first, which I found very rude. I have been to many foot spas but once I found this I never left. The place is very clean. The owner is very nice and know me when I go in. They do have a card that you get stamped for every ten services you get one free. The place has dimmed lights and Comfy chairs. Very soft relaxing music. I get the hour foot rub for 28 bux. Everytime I've been there I've had to bring my own comforter because they only use towels to cover you and I believe there should be blankets because people do get cold easily. Also they have curtains instead of walls . The massause alot of the time speak to other massauses when there massaging a client. I feel also that they push u to tip before hand and a tip is something u should tip at the end. No coustomer should be obligated to tip what they say to tip. I do understand that most likely the owner dosent pay the people who work there nothing but its not right to ask for a tip before hand and u shouldn't be forced to tip. That should. Be ur choice. I've been going to this for spa for a few years and have always been happy. Unfortunately, the last two experiences I've had have been very poor. I went for a 30 foot massage (I've had true reflexology- this isn't it, but I've always liked the massage). It wasn't anything near a massage. It was simply a $20 lotion application, and a fast one at that. I asked him if he could slow down as, at times he was so rough my whole body was moving. After the 3rd time asking him (using hand gestures for understanding) he spoke to his friend in another language and they were both sniggering and laughing. The laughing didn't bother me personally, but he never slowed the massage down. The whole experience was horrible (I still tipped him appropriately). I'm going to give them one more chance. Maybe I'll ask for a female masseuse. The previous experience with a male wasn't a great one either (massaged too fast also). read more

I have since been back a few times and If I'm being honest, it can be hit or miss depending on the masseuse. I literally walked in and within five minutes walked out. I normally do not write reviews I'm sitting in my car as I write this because I am appalled that these people are still in business. First strike I get to the door and as a woman is letting her customer out and receiving her tip she allows the door to slam in my face. No problem I look at it as an oversight I sit down in the waiting area and a man comes out doesn't greet me but rather waves his hand in a rude manner insinuating come in. He has a horrible look on his face like he doesn't want to be there but I followed him anyway. As I'm approaching the area I'm supposed to sit at he doesn't even tell me to sit but rather just points to it and walks off. At that moment I knew I was not in for a good experience and decided to walk right out. I've gone here plenty of time with my husband and we always leave saying "that was the greatest massage" I usually request a woman when I go because I find that they are the best. I've had a massage by two different men before and they were not as good. Not only is this place great with their massages but they are very very reasonably priced. Their oil is always warm, they always end with a hot stone massage and a scalp massage which is a huge plus for me. I went for a 90 minute combo back massage and foot reflexology. The person working on me did NOT understand me when I asked for a pillow for my knees and when I asked to lighten up the touch. I had to repeat my requests since my knees were hurting and the pressure was too much for me. Some person was shouting "shut up" over and over again. Needless to say I told the person to stop since he could not understand me and I was not about to accept the rudeness of another person. I've been to this spa several times. Never had an issue. I've brought my husband and my mother for several sessions as well. I recently bought my mother a 2 hr gift certificate. When she went for her session she got sick and had to leave 40 mins into her massage. The owner told her to come back another day for the last hour of her massage. (an hr massage costs $42 and a 2hr massage costs $82) he crossed out the $82 and wrote $40...(don't forget that, I'll come back to that in a min) I spoke to the owner explaining that she had more than an hour left. Not only did he not give her the 15-20 mins of what she was owed, he wouldn't even give her 5 minutes. He was appalled that I was arguing for extra mins he owed her. I gave up and I left. I figured I'd bring her back for her last session and then I'll be done with this place..it gets better. When she went back to complete her second part of the session he had the nerve to ask her for an extra 2 dollars!!!!! He explained that on the gift card it wrote $40 but she got an HOUR MASSAGE AND THAT COSTS $42!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDDING MEEEEE!!!! HE WAS THE ONE WHO CROSSED IT OUT AND WROTE $40, he knew she was coming back for another hour why wouldn't he write $42????.. I'll tell you why, because that's a sneaky way to get another 2 dollars from an old lady...not only did he ROB her of her 2 Hour massage he had the nerve to ask her for 2 more dollars!!!! Well, of course I went in there and gave him a piece of my mind and told him I'd never be back there again!! the setting is a little odd...kind of looks like those "happy ending" places you see in the citythe massage was good however when I told Kevin to not go too hard in one area he did not listen. To finish off the relaxing moment as I was leaving Kevin was at the door wondering where his tip was. I had received a gift certificate and was told the tip was included.
