A mere $38 for a full body massage that wasn't bad but the two things I requested were a female massage therapist and a head massage. After 5 minutes, the woman says, "you mind if a guy takes over?" I guess I could have said I minded but I agreed, even though I had made the appointment and request earlier. So the head massage? About 20 annoying seconds. That being said about 10 minutes of pre-massage with towel on. Too long. They do a quick hot stone and I mean quick after they're finished with the back and they wipe down the oils off your body when done. The flip over to my back lasted maybe 5 minutes with towel on everything. A little bit of side neck massage and then some pats on arms and legs. Overall, this was just ok, better than some expensive spas that I've experienced but not as good as many. read more

My brother had given me a gift card to the Aloha Relaxation Center for Christmas, and as excited as I was to redeem it, my ankle injury prevented me from cashing in earlier rather than later. Upon walking in, you see a calm and bright reception area. I have been to foot spas before where the entrance is dark and quiet, so it was pleasant to walk in to an open and well lit area. I was promptly greeted and shown to an entranceway; I was then greeted by another man who brought me to a curtained area. To the right was a row of recliner chairs for foot massages and to the left was a row of curtained areas for he back massage/foot rub combination. I have to say this was one of the best massages I've ever had; my masseuse hit all the right spots with the perfect amount of pressure. He walked me through the process as I was new to this particular spot, so I felt very comfortable. He used both oils and hot stones for maximum relation. My back rub was first, and by the time he started my foot rub, I was dozing off and in total bliss. I will definitely be back! I will say I was a tad bit sore a few hours later, but I know that meant he worked out all of my muscles to their maximum without me being in pain, and it didn't last very long that evening. read more

I have been coming here for years! Never had a bad experience until today! I called the owner, who is incredibly sweet, and inform her that one of her masseuse was requesting for more tip money. I am usually generous and give more than 20% for an hour foot massage. If the masseuse keep requesting for more money, than they should be spoken to about it. Currently going to 9spa, who I am more than happy to give more tip money an hour due to professionalism! On arrival, you walk into a small (very cold, each time the door opens) waiting/reception room, where you are greeted. I get an hourlong foot reflexology, which starts with a mineral soak and simultaneous back, neck and arm massage, all for just $28. Well worth a lot more. I will not divulge the excellent reflexologist I visit for fear that they will become even more popular and harder for me to appoint. But suffice to say, this is such a wonderful and necessary indulgence; really relaxes the body. First, I would like to mention it is a great value. It was 90 minutes at a very inexpensive price. Second, you get what you pay for. It was semi-relaxing, but it is pretty much the kind of massage you get at a nail salon. If you want a therapeutic massage... you need to pay the money and go to a professional. Finally someone else came in and said I was speaking too loud I told him well the towel is wet He said oh I will get another one. This towel was also wet. I left. Went there last Friday with groupon. The entire experience was uncomfortable. Felt like the man who massaged me couldn't be bothered. He sat on the bed while he was massaging me. Very disrespectful way of uncovering me by throwing the sheet back off me. I actually felt a bit violated. Couldn't wait for it to be over. I love foot spas but this is not one I would go back too. These foot-rub places are showing up all over. THIS one in particular is nice. Poofier chairs than others, quieter, curtain separations for privacy, darker... the atmosphere is just more relaxing than I have experienced elsewhere. Been going here for quite some time. Amazing intimate atmosphere that allows for relaxation, meditation and peace of mind for someone like me who is on their feet 12 hours a day. In regards to the tipping, everyone who has ever worked with me for 90 minutes has earned their tip of 20 dollars or more because each time they have not failed in caring for the most painful areas after a hectic work week and hectic gym week. First timer here today. Called a bunch of places looking to get a massage (Massage Envy, etc.) and all were booked. Yelped the area and came upon this place. A quick call got me an appointment an hour later. It's a foot spa/body massage place and as far as they go, this is the most nicely furnished, clean, updated, spacious ones around. The front staff was friendly. As the other reviewer mentioned, you are not in separate rooms like several chain massage places, but your curtained off area is private and I had zero issue with it. Just pointing it out to give a heads up. My massage was great. I felt great after and can tell I'll be a little sore tomorrow; but I mean that in a good way. I asked for deep pressure and I got it. Yelp needs to come up with a way to give negative stars. It hurts me to even give this place one star tbh. So I had not one but two bad experiences at this place. 1st visit: went for a body massage and my masseuse (picture included) talked the whole time to the masseuses next to her on both sides and she would disappear for longer than usual when she went to get hot towels to wipe and she would go for towels and then come back and then go back for hot stones and then come back. I think she spent quarter of the time literally outside talking and getting towels. So when it was time to pay I tipped her 8$ and she started to yell and be furious when I told her that I was going to tip her that low because she talked the whole time and also when I asked her to use a little more pressure she huffed and puffed like I had asked for a lot. I asked to see the owner because this lady was getting extremely loud and rude while I was calm snd it turned out the owner had left for the day. An hour later I got a text from a random number turned out to the owner - Samantha. Samantha apologized profusely and explained how this is the reason why she wanted me to go with the male masseuse (I had called ahead of time and specifically requested an appointment with a female masseuse) but when I got there she asked me to go with a male masseuse which I had declined and that resulted in me waiting half hour for a female masseuse. So yeah her texts included an apology, she was going on vacation and she was planning to fire that masseuse once she got back and also she would give me a discount if I gave her place another chance. I said fair enough and told her I would let her know the next time I want a massage. 2nd visit: this time not only did I go by myself but I took a friend as well!!!!! I did not get a body massage but rather a foot massage while my friend got a body massage and the WHOLE TIME we were getting a massage everyone talked and my friend was all the way in the back so he could hear them talk the whole time and they were very loud while washing buckets and etc in the back. Contrary to the public belief of many people this is one of the best massage places I've ever been to! Not many people know this but in fact the owner changed a couple months ago. The new owner was way better than the old one and had added a couple new staff as well as removed some of the old staff that would complain to the customers and such. It was a very relaxing experience and it was very affordable overall. They have a great system set up and it was a very serene and quiet experience of a pleasant massage. Aloha has been my go-to spot for massages and facials. I have been a loyal customer for the past five years and continue to recommend all of my family and friends. The place is clean, affordable, and the workers are honest and accommodate your needs as best as they can. I especially wanted to write a review now, after five years of solid service, because of Samantha (the owner). For the last two years I have lived in Westchester and still visit this establishment when I am in LI. Samantha always accommodated my spontaneous schedule and provided the most excellent service. Her facials are by far the best ones I have ever received- especially after comparing them to others- even my dermatologist said she cleaned out everything she would have extracted! I was reading some of the other comments about tipping - there are signs in lobby with a suggested tip amount of $10 (which I think is low). I think people feel that it is like tipping a waiter or waitress in a restaurant - that definitely is not the case - in a restaurant your server is working 5-6 tables at a time - in this and other spas the person is attending to you and you alone for the entire time you are there so I would normally tip at least the $10 an hour which at Aloha amounts to about $50 total for an hour - still a great deal! read more

Had my first facial here today with Samantha. It was one of the best I've had, and reasonably priced! They use nuskin and dermalogica products. Comfortable bed/table (most of these places use recliners, I prefer the table.). Extractions were slightly uncomfortable, but that's the point. Well worth it. Very thorough. Exactly what I needed. The experience I had tonight was very disappointing. After an average 90 minute combo special I give the girl that did my treatment a 20% tip. She stood there like I was supposed to give her more. I gave the women at the desk my gift certificate only to find i had more out of my pocket than expected cause the prices went up. Not to mention she very condescending in her tone. Next, I ask them to please initial the back of their business cards they give out for one free foot message after 10 visits. I'll never reach that cause I won't be goung back. She said only if you pay full price for a session they can't sign it. I told her the last girl did. Well according to her she shouldn't have initialed it. Lastly, there was a half hour to go before they close the place and they take my bag and jacket and bring it to the front desk as I'm visiting the ladies room. Weary about the one bad review, but considering I have given numerous bad reviews and some scathing without removal, i questioned the validity of its review and tried this place anyways. I refrain from libel, but I state things as they are. I have pretty decent skin where i dont break out despite the sun damage to it. I needed a facial really bad considering i have been breaking out lately. This was the second place i went to that didnt require an appointment, change in clothing or a private room and the other place was a disaster, too much background noise and not relaxing it all. My experience here was on the contrary and enjoyable minus the neck and knee support, but Ill cover that later. The facial therapist had fingers that felt like a pulsating vibration massage that relaxed me and made me forget that she wasnt using any equipment. She paid keen attention to my white heads and not just the black heads... And was very careful in making sure i was comfortable because the white heads hurt more. My only complaint is that my knees started to hurt because the pillows were stacked under my feet leaving my knees stretched out during the 60 minutes. I moved the pillow under my knee to make myself comfortable so it wasnt a big deal. I hold tension in my upper back and neck so the lack of neck support hurt, but she gave me a soothing scalp, neck and beneath the shoulder blade massage.... This is a definite must return place.... Such a great find, but only if I cant schedule one at my favorite place. So my gripe about this place is I paid 20% tip per service cost contingent on quality of service which I will decrease to 15%, which is my right, and I was told they expect tips to be covered as $/hr not based on services provided. Furthermore she follows by I remember you, as if I dont tip what she asks. I will receive bad service. How about when youre asking for a higher tip when service is subpar? I havent been back post this incident. Im not about inexpensive. I am about Quality. Only reason I tried this was they take walkins. So as far as walkins go it rates high. I got an EXCELLENT 30 min massage & 30 min reflexology session from Cindy. Yes, there was some confusion in the beginning (they left me in a room, did not instruct me to strip down to underwear, or advise me what to do once I was stripped down. Possibly the worst experience ever . Not only was it the worst massage , when my fiancé and I handed them our card that they initial every time we go, they pretty much called us liars and said that none of their staff wrote that saying we "forged it". The Customer service was horrible to call clients liars. They should keep records of who massages their clients as a record and not expect us to remember . NEVER GOING BACK. I just got back from my massage at aloha relaxing center along with two friends. All 3 of us got a 90 minute massage. As soon as we started we walked into the place where the beds are separated by curtains and were told to undress, 20 seconds later they kept peeping even though we kept telling them we were not ready. During the massage the ladies kept leaving and coming back, a couple times I lifted my head to find the curtain pulled half way back to where I could see the other customers who were also not dressed with a thin blanket covering their legs. One of my friends mentioned that they focused on his buttocks more than anything and he felt a bit violated since he left his shorts on and they pulled them down to where his bare butt was uncovered. Not only did they only massage for 70 minutes, but when we were paying they said that our tip which was 15% was not enough for a 90 minute massage. We told them we did not have anymore cash and they insisted to give them our cards. One of my friends said to charge him for two of their tips he said 10 dollars total, and they charged him 20 dollars. Even with him giving 20 and myself giving 5 extra. They still looked at us as if it were not enough. The tip is never required, and especially if the employee did not deserve it. read more

I love the massage - Full body and feet massage at this place. I have recommended 2-3 people to go to Aloha Relaxing Center, and they too just love it. The facials are not up to the mark compared to the massage, because it is done by the lady at the front desk who happens to be the Manager of the center. She is too busy responding to calls and leaving you lying down to attend to customers so the wait can be long. I think I have had better facials done at a different centerand so I wouldn't recommend facials at this place. The manager at the front desk who does the facials, expects every attendant/masseuse be tipped $10 dollars minimum. I think this raised the base price by $10, not that I feel tipping is bad, but when someone tells you how much to tip, you get annoyed, besides if three members want to try out the massage option, that is straight $30 add on to the package. I would rather feel comfortable to raise the price by $10 instead of asking for a tip. They don't pay a referral fee like say reduce $5 off the next massage, or that would be great.
