I said, "I was previously diagnosed with approximately 3 herniated discs." To which the chiropractor responded, "Unlikely." After meeting the mandatory minimum 3 sessions I paid for out-of-pocket, I was then referred to get an x-ray. The analysis the chiropractor shares with me after reviewing my x-ray supports the original diagnosis I received. However, instead of 3 herniated discs, it's now 4. The entire base of my thoracic spine is affected. I can confirm, I experience pain daily and my movements are limited. I am in my 20s. The chiropractor tells me to stop doing the exercises they showed me previously because I told them that I had been doing what they recommended and my condition has only gotten worse. They suggest talking to a different type of specialist (an orthopod) and to look into starting physical therapy. Time and money spent that I will never get back. I could have received adequate care earlier.

Nicole, my massage therapist, has excellent technique (I've benchmarked over 80 of them across North America and Asia) that is not too harsh but enough pressure to really loosen some tight knots. Dr. Kanes personally administers paraffin wax hand treatments prior to adjustments (which are gentle and newcomer-friendly). A must for anyone who is desk-bound for the majority of his or her day. I am a dancer and do yoga and thought that was enough, but then kept having persistent sore irritated muscles I could not "fix" on my own. I found out about Dr. Max from a Health and Wellness fair and had a free massage that was SO helpful, that I decided to go in for an office visit. It was amazing!! First, the office is brand new and clean and the staff is super nice. Dr. Max is an expert at adjustments (or there are other methods to correct you as well if you don't like adjustments), and the medical massage after makes you feel AMAZING. I've also done some PT work there, and they have been super helpful for exercises and stretches I do on my own that keep me feeling good. I can honestly say I feel 100% fixed as the left side of my neck and lower back were constantly irritating me, and now that pain is totally gone. I go back for "tune-ups" whenever I can fit it in for preventative care as a dancer so that I do not get injured.
