I needed a last-minute customized cake for my sister's birthday this weekend. I found this bakery on Yelp, and called them around noon on Saturday, asking if they could customize a cake for the following day. I was advised that since they're closed on Sundays, the cake would be delivered to my address instead. Fine by me! I selected a beautiful rose cake topped with a gold crown, and asked if it would be possible to incorporate shipping bags into the cake (the girl loves to shop, must get it from her older sister and mom). The cake turned out beautifully, tasted delicious, and was delivered promptly. I selected vanilla cake with chocolate icing, which was moist and delicious. In fact the cake was SO moist (I hate that word) that it didn't quite hold its shape once we cut into it. I would certainly order from here again and would like to thank Unique Designers Cake for the beautiful cake! We really enjoyed it. read more

I ordered a "quarantine" cake for my son's 40th Birthday Celebration!! Since he's turning 40 and it is 2020, this cake was perfect. I chose to pick up at Unique instead of having it delivered. The cake was perfectly decorated and it also tasted very good. My son really enjoyed this cake. I will be ordering from them again. Any questions I had were answered immediately so there were no issues at all ordering this unique cake!! read more

My cake was absolutely beautiful. when I picked it up the lady told me that the cake was frozen and it needed to sit out for a little bit. I said okay, paid the remaining balance and left. So, after about five and a half hours I went back to my hotel. I was going to cut my cake to give my guest some, but the cake was Rock solid. When I tell you I could literally punch the cake, I could punch the cake. The fondant on the cake was so hard it was inedible. I used a knife to cut the cake, I tasted the red velvet cream cheese inside when I tell you it was horrible it was horrible. I've had red velvet and cream cheese mix before and it was delicious but this cake was just horrible. I do not recommend this bakery. I'm from out of town I had this Chanel cake created for my birthday while in Miami again, the cake design was absolutely beautiful but the physical cake could not be eaten the fondant on the outside was hard as brick. The inside red velvet cake was just inedible, tasted like card board. I do not recommend this bakery, don't waste your money. I don't care if they were on the food Network or not their cakes are beautiful but they are not edible. when you're celebrating with loved ones and they see a beautiful cake and you cut it open they want to taste. You want to share that moment with them but unfortunately I was not able to. Complete waste of not only money but time. I could've had grocery store cake that tasted better than this brick card board cake. read more

Anyone need a last minute cake? If so, this is who I would highly recommend. I called this place to see if they were about to accommodate a special order for the same day and they understood the assignment. No hassle, I ordered off of their website for a same day cake. I ordered kinda late and was very impressed by their turnover time. The cake turned out amazing and the taste was absolutely amazingly. Very moist and I loved the icing of the cake. It feed the right number of people and everyone was happy. I would highly recommend them to any friends and family. I would highly recommend them to you. If you come across them, do it. You will be very happy and satisfied. Also, very friendly customer service. Each and every time I called, I received friendly service. Thank you again! We loved our order and will be placing another one again in the near future! read more

I originally spoke to Fernando about a 36' tall cylindrical cake, with complicated, very detailed artwork. He guided me through the process with patience before my client revised the size to 17 inches which made more sense for us! This is long over due. Last year I ordered a wedding cake from them. My in-laws and fiance accompanied me. I had already sent some photos of cakes i liked for the design but I wasn't sure on the flavor. We also had a small wedding so I didn't need a huge cake. I really wanted something with tiers even though it was small. They took the photos and the cake we picked out and made us a beautiful tasty cake! My sister in-law had 4 pieces! We had chocolate and vanilla and there was enough that we all had one of each. We were a little susceptible of the fondant being too thick and taking away from the cake, it was perfect! Not too thick or sugary and went well with the cake! Thank you so much for making a beautiful cake for our special day! It was also a great price. I was shocked how cheap it was, it was about half the price i was expecting. read more

Unique Designer's Cake - Bakeries Near Me - Miami, Florida

This was my first time ordering from Unique Designer's Cakes. I had high hopes, following the mostly positive reviews I had read. I was, however, utterly disappointed! I ordered a ready-to-go cake, for $55.64--a steep price for it's size, but I figured it was worth it for the special birthday it would be serving. First off, the box felt very cold when I picked it up, and when I mentioned that they said the cake needed to remain refrigerated and that is why it felt cold. They instructed me to take the cake out of the refrigerator three hours ahead of the serving time. A paper enclosed with the cake said to take it out two hours ahead of serving, but I'm glad I waited even longer than they had told me in person! I ended up taking the cake out four hours prior to serving. Upon cutting into it, the center was still extremely cold, and the icing hard and crumbly. The person I had talked to had assured me that all their cakes are made same day. Given that the inside of the cake was still that cold after sitting on the counter in a warm room for four hours makes me think that there is NO WAY they had just put it in the refrigerator a few hours before I picked it up, after baking it same day-- it had to have been refrigerated at least overnight! This was unacceptable, especially since their paper instructions said the cake should be ready to eat two hours after removal from the fridge! When you are serving a cake on a special occasion, timing is essential and, in my case, was completely off and ended up ruining the cake cutting/serving. I wish that were all I had to provide feedback on, but there is more. The entire top, side, and bottom of the cake were overbaked and therefore very dry all around the edges. And if that weren't enough, this cake tasted very similar to a regular box cake mix with store-bought frosting--definitely something I could've made. I was extremely disappointed by the entire experience, particularly given what I paid!! I will never be returning! read more

Let me just start this out by saying that UDC saved my day! I had been corresponding via email & telephone with ANOTHER bakery in the area (Enchanting Creations) for two weeks, when that bakery just decided to no longer contact me. I had even put my order in, but luckily they didn't charge me. In a panic, I found UDC & emailed them my designs & specifications. It took them ONE day to confirm & make sure I was ready to send in payment. The cake was not only affordable for such a last minute, it was also really yummy. The design & style were amazingly executed. Thank you so much! My best friend loved her cake!!!! read more

I was recently in Miami to celebrate a dear friend's 50'th birthday party. For a birthday like that, we wanted a very special cake, the good kind with real buttercream frosting, and moist mouth watering cake. I consider myself very lucky to have found this bakery. First, they are real bakers, who know how to make something real. AND, they also know that presentation is very important. These people can make any kind of design for you, from the simple, yet elegant and beautiful, to a veritable sculpture that is too pretty to eat. I like fruit,so chose a bright and sunny design depicting the Florida sunshine and a delicious orange creme frosting, on top of a guava cake. This was over the top amazing. I really need to go back and try their chocolate and other flavors! read more

I had a wonderful experience working with Unique Designer's Cake to design a cake for my baby shower. I directly consulted with Carolina, who was prompt, professional, and accommodating. The prices quoted were fair and the cake was impeccably designed to my specifications. I was impressed by the company's integrity when, without prompting, Carolina refunded me the price of a fondant cake topper when another topper I ordered in the mail arrived in time. The cake was beautiful and all my guests said it was delicious. The cake was one of the highlights of the baby shower and I am so happy I entrusted Unique Designer's Cake with the project. I highly recommend the company for all your custom cake and dessert needs. read more

I was looking for a cake for my daughter's graduation from vet school so I did a little searching on line and came up with the idea of a lab coat with stethoscope and a couple of dogs at the bottom. I then asked about adding the school emblem and her name over the breast pocket. I sent Carolina (the owner) pictures and she said it would be ready for pickup. I should say I'm in Boston she's in Miami, so I was a little worried. When I did pick it up, I was blown away the cake was awesome, just as described down to every detail including a collar tag on the lab coat. Not only was it perfect in matching my description the cake was delicious too. I could not have been more happy and the look on my daughter's face when she saw this was unbelievable. I don't know about the price but I think it is comparable and if I ever need another cake in Miami I know where to go. I will post a photo too if I can figure out how. read more

It is a place where your expectations are met more than you imagine. After a long research I decided to order a cake from them for my wife's birthday. Carolina was very helpful, but I was still worried how the cake will look like at the end. I have sent her a picture of a horse head that I want and she said no problem. She arranged the delivery to the restaurant. It was a surprise for my wife and also for me because I did not see the cake till they put it on the table. My wife could not hold her tears and me too, because it was the most beautiful cake for such a beautiful emotional moment.
