I was so excited to order a birthday cake from Cakeology after seeing all the high ratings. Sadly,…read moremy experience was the complete opposite of what those reviews promised. I picked the cake up and we tried it the same day, so freshness was never an issue on my end, and it was still dry, hard and stale, like it had been sitting in a fridge for days. When I went to pick up, I realized the cake comes out of a location shared by multiple food businesses - not an actual bakery or storefront. That explained a lot. There's NO real accountability, no quality control you can see, just cakes handed off from a shared kitchen. On top of that, it was overwhelmingly sweet. Not sweet in a good way, but so much sugar that my stomach started hurting and I got a migraine shortly after. My partner took one bite and literally had to spit it out because he couldn't eat it. For the price I paid, I expected a fresh, moist, beautifully made cake and what I got was neither fresh nor edible. Between the glowing ratings, the price and the actual product, I feel scammed. I wanted to make my partner's birthday special and this cake did the opposite - it ruined the moment for us and felt like a complete waste of money. I would NOT recommend this and I'm asking for a refund. A product this far from what was advertised should not be final sale

I went with one of the small jars to try it out. $10 for a small one. It was very delicious but the way to order and pickup was quite hectic as the munchlabs people are quite slammed. I saw another girl who was clearly struggling to order and pick something else up. Not really a welcoming customer storefront but rather for delivery drivers. The fake was good tho and I kinda wanna buy more from Cakeology!

He couldn't decide what he wanted but I was there for the carrot cake!! It's my favorite. So the lady working let him taste the chocolate peanut butter pie that he ended up getting. I also got a toffee cookie because hey, toffee and cookies are always a good idea. Hubby got a guava and white chocolate cookie. The cream cheese icing on this cake was soooo delicious. It wasn't just sweet it was also buttery. The cake was equally delicious. My husband liked his pie but didn't really like the cookie. My toffee cookie was amazing though. I think guava and white chocolate could be too sweet. Hey, he picked it. My carrot cake was so good, we ventured back out to go again. So yes twice in one trip. There was a guy there with a friend buying a cake because he remembered having it for his birthday party as a kid. Having carried that memory to adulthood let me know this was the real deal.

I called ahead and spoke to the Bill, who is one the married owners, (his wife is the chef/pastry…read moreartisan) who explained that they serve their whole food menu until 3 PM and after that, until closing time, they serve their quiche slices with a side salad, a few sandwiches, excellent coffee and tea beverages and what's left of their savory and sweet French pastries. He held their last napoleon for me, as I planned on coming late, and was very happy to be able to get some quality quiche and French pastries until 10 PM on a Saturday night! Irena, from Ukraine, was very nice and helpful at the counter when I arrived and served me at a table.. I had a delicious iced matcha latte that I sweetened with their packets of natural stevia that are mixed with a little sugar. And the asparagus and Brie quiche was so perfectly balanced and delicious with a great buttery made-from-scratch crust that I quickly ate it all along with the small side salad that comes with a simple olive oil and lemon dressing. Because it was so good, and I hadn't eaten all day and night, I also ordered a piece of their other type of quiche that has mushrooms, spinach and goat cheese in it, heated up, but to go, since they were closing soon. It is also very good, but I definitely prefer the asparagus Brie quiche. I got a napoleon and pavlova slice to go. I was a bit disappointed with their napoleon and don't think I would order it again; I didn't like the pastry layers (that were not crispy and cold by their closing time); nor did I really care for the pastry creme filling that much. But their incredible pavlova desert with crunchy, yet airy and fluffy meringue, whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries and toasted almond slices is a blissful, must-have dessert!

Their baked goods are super fresh, and everything is delicious. I am a big fan of the prosciutto sandwich, which had a great balance of flavors, and much softer bread than I expected.
