This place is permanently closed. I visit the place recently and looked thru the window to find out the space is completely empty. I tried calling using the provided telephone number and an automated message came up saying that the number is no longer in service. I even sent an email asking questions about possible work and an auto response came back 24 hours later saying that the email was no longer service. Had a problem with my subwoofer and I called and spoke with the owner, Lo. I explained what was going on and said he could take care of the problem. I was surprised that he was able to give me a quote and a time estimate by what I told him. I came in on my appointment and not only did he repair the problem in less time than quoted but I was charged less. He went out of his way and told me what the issue was, and explained everything and showed me the work that he had done. I had spoken with different places in the area and none of them could give me any ideas of how long it would take or how much it would charge me . Replaced the radio in my truck. Purchased the unit from Crutchfield. The folks at Unique Audio asked me to come by to make sure I had all the parts (wiring harness, etc.) needed for the installation. Everything checked out. Scheduled installation for the next week. Finished the install on schedule. Left truck clean. The unit and all it's functions work well. Staff was accommodating, very knowledgeable and friendly. They had no problem installing equipment that was purchased elsewhere. Super price, lower than three other installers in Northern Virginia. I have sent 3 cars there now a acura,4runner and land cruiser. They have done a great job on all three good prices and quick turn around time. They especially do a great job at installing the remote start systems. I would recommend compustar system. they put a viper system in my land cruiser works great however remote feels cheaper but overall I love it. at-least I can differentiate the two different car keys. will go back for my other car in a few months read more

I agreed Paid $570.19 for the service Called me @ 4PM to pick up Later I realized the leather flap to hide wiring behind steering wheel was not installed back properly/forgotten Notified them and they said they would take care of it next time I come back. 02/07/2022 Called me to notify me the part is on back order and they'll reach out once delivered 03/11/2022 Followed up, still on back order 04/20/2022 part is now available and shipped. But told me to call back next week to double check 04/27/2022 Called back, part was delivered and schedule service 05/17/2022 Dropped off car at 11AM Reminded them about the leather flap and they acknowledged Came back 12:30 PM Realized the flap was not corrected Notified the front desk and they had a tech come out to the parking lot immediately and attempted to fix it Waited 35 min before he requested to drive the car back into their garage to work on it inside I wait in their nice lobby and the tech showed me the part that housed the flap and said he applied some glue so it doesn't fall down. I guess that'll do...not sure what happened but maybe it was damaged when they original took the dash apart? Now he had to McGuyver it. I just hope it doesn't fall apart again in the future... Left at 1:25 PM The flap: There was apparently a miscommunication, they thought the flap was undone last time but then fixed later on... But then why would I mention it in the first place to be addressed? I guess I should've confirmed with him about the issue with the flap. I stopped by Unique Audio to ask about adding digital media for Apple Carplay and backup camera for our 2006 Solara convertible! Lorgio explained some of the limited options as dealing with suppliers chain issues and delays in shipments etc. To make a long story short you pay a deposit and wait for what receivers may actually arrive and become available and then schedule for installation. I ended up with a Sony which I am very happy with. Backup camera is good and this 2006 Solara is now updated with the latest digital technology and it's so much easier, safer and fun to hookup our iPhones and use carplay than using iPhone stands and looking at the small screens compared to this Sony! Here are some before and after pictures. You just have to be patient (I know it's easier said than done) but eventually you'll get your system and will be on your merry way! read more

I was so excited to find custom audio, rims, and other third party auto support in Springfield. I also couldn't wait to meet this 5 star rated Chris. But, I never met him or the 5 star support on an audio system and rim install from Unique Audio. They overpromised and under-delivered on services, they acted annoyed when I called for status on a car install, and when I didn't call, they kept my car hostage me for almost a week. When I asked questions and shared information, they'd patronizingly say "Yessir" but not follow through. This simple install took over 30+ days. I brought my car in to add rims and new audio system. They said the rims would take a day. I called late the next day. Sounding annoyed, they said they'd call when it's ready. An hour later, they called and their tire machine broke. So, they didn't work on it all day, lies about it, got irritated by my call and their machine broke. 1st WTF . They said 5 days to get machine part in. I brought my car back 5 days later and on the sixth day I called to get an estimate on car completion. Hector said I have no idea. Fyi, I'm spending money on a car rental and you can't take the time to share a guesstimate. Then I got annoyed . 2nd WTF. Called back 2 days later, they said it'll be ready that day. Sweet! But they discovered the audio system doesn't fit my car. They had to reorder a new one and said it'll be there in 3 days. Eight days later I called and they said it arrived. Why couldn't they call? 3rd WTF‍ I brought my car over and they told me the audio install would take a day. Five days later, I called and they said it'll be done that day. I come in and after I reminded them to connect my speaker box, they forgot. They held it for another day. When I finally picked it up, I shared my difficult experience and they didn't even offer a discount for the bad customer service, broken machine wait, mistaken audio system, not calling when ready, and patronizing attitude. I always try to give fair reviews and I hate giving bad ones, but these guys let me down consistently. Sad. Good luck guys, I hope you get your business together. read more

Buyer beware - waited over 3 months on an order, still not in, went to cancel - guess what, you can't have your deposit back. You can have store credit, which does little good if you don't need a product anymore, but a 'deposit' which is not a good or service, is NOT refundable. Waited one month for appointment to have my car sitting at the shop for a Month and a half to have two fiberglass speakers put in my car. I called the place multiple times to check the progress and and was told it would be ready in a week. After coming to the store to actually check the progress of the work because I was never called about the completion. I arrived to the shop to be told more excuses and the person working on my vehicle has been locked up. I was taking to the back to avoid letting other customers hear anything and noticed my car has yet to be even started. I ended up getting my car back after a Month of lies with no progress. I picked Unique Audio based on its Yelp! rating to install a remote start in my 15 year old SUV. I'm not sure why I waited so long to install one, but I'm really glad I did. I called and made an appointment and they had me pay a $100 deposit because they have to order a specific relay switch for my vehicle. I called on a Tuesday and they were able to get the relay switch and do the install on a Saturday. I was able to drop my vehicle off at my 10 AM appointment and they called me to pick it up around 6 PM. I paid the roughly $400 bill and waited for my vehicle to be pulled around. After 10 minutes or so the installer came out to ask me if I ever had trouble with my transmission - which was really disconcerting. What I believe happened is when they were up under my steering column, they accidentally knocked loose the pin that keeps the gear shift cable connected. Ultimately I'm giving these guys five stars because they could've just rigged the cable in place and I would've been none the wiser, but they took the time to show me what the concern was in the event I ever have issues with the shift cable in the future. I will definitely be back for any install needs. read more

I came to these guys several times, but the one time that stood out was when my car had complete water damage. I've had my car since I bought it off the lot in the late 90's, an EK Honda Civic Hatchback that's fully custom and hooked up. When they didn't have to, they took my car in, and completely cleaned all the mud outta the car. The electronics were shot so they not only rewired everything for me, but also installed all the new electronics I bought to replace the old. Including new head unit, bottom DVD/bluetooth Player, Speakers, fixed my sub & amp that weren't connected properly for years, and repaired a customer monitor I had. On 6/26 I went and got an estimate from Lorgio, and put a $200 deposit down to get some work done. I called back the following Monday to let him know that I wanted to go with a custom speaker box, to which he said to me 'no problem'. When I found the speaker box I wanted by mid July I called Lorgio to make my appointment for 8/21. Last week I called him to confirm my appointment and he to me we were good to go. On Friday the day before my appointment, I got a call from Lorgio saying they are no longer open on Saturday's. I asked him for my deposit back and he refused!!  Instead offering me an LC2 cable! Furthermore, when I Googled their business hours and it still said open on Saturday's. I took my business elsewhere and was able to get the work done same day. This shop is run by dishonest crooks that do not honor their word!!! Avoid this location! I love this place so much, I'm afraid this will be perceived as a fake review! Anyway, I brought my car to Unique Audio because my speakers got water damage during the bad floods in NoVA during the summer of 2013. The man working there actually remembered me by face -- I was there over a year ago when I had my broken OEM speakers changed to Pioneers! While I was there, I figured I might as well install an amp and a subwoofer too. They didn't try to get me to buy the most expensive items possible; however, I must say that YOU HAVE NOT LIVED until you've heard Bassnectar or a Skrillex drop in my car now. AND Unique Audio replaced my half-working satellite radio antenna for free! "We saw your note that the unit says 'Check Antenna Connection' a lot, and we had a brand new antenna just laying around, so we installed that for you in a better location than where the older antenna was. The antenna's on us." Well, that's it for this review. Time to go drive home and experience multiple eargasms. BTW, if you leave your car there on a Saturday, remember that most rental car places close earlier than they do. I ended up having to go to Reagan Airport to find a rental car place that was open. read more

After reading previous good reviews on this business, and recognizing that it was very close to my home, I set out to get a speaker repaired and an iPod hookup for the 2002 Mercury Mountaineer headed to college with my daughter in the fall. The only thing that kept this from being a 5-star review was that the shop opens at 10am, making it somewhat inconvenient to drop the vehicle off before work. I decided to leave it in front of the shop and call in (was on a schedule to get it all done before the weekend.) This ended up working fine. Coordinated everything by phone. After the technician and I spoke on the phone, I decided to replace the stock radio/CD player with an Alpine CDE-136BT, CD/Bluetooth w/Pandora for iPhone ($189) -- no hard sell, I was happy to get a bluetooth model for my daughter for obvious safety reasons. What I thought was a short to one speaker was actually a bad speaker so ended up getting two front door speakers replaced with a pair of Alpine SPS-517's ($79). The work was done well and on time, but what made it really great is that the technicial also did some touch up paint work I needed and connected me with a detailing shop nearby, at my request. He even arranged to have the car picked up, cleaned and delivered back to the shop and I was able to pay for both services at once, saving me time and minimizing hassle. The labor rate was fair. Highly recommend this place and expect that I will be back! read more

2015 GMC Carbon 22 Sierra Crew Cab The team issued first class service. I as so impressed by there knowledge during the initial phase of planning that I didn't look any where else. Jason and Pat really took care of me. Explained everything in detail and absolutely provided everything they said they would do. They talked me into a custom box against my wishes and I am so glad that I listened to them. The Box was custom molded to the seat and curves around to make it appear like it was an extension of the rear seats, that a lone was breathtaking enough but they even took it a step higher and put custom GMC and Z71 markings on the box to personalize it even more. After they did that they still weren't done and put some carbon fiber on the box to match the carbon strips that came with the truck. Absolutely breathtaking. Not only was everything priced reasonably but they also gave me a military discount. Man it's been awhile since I've seen a team that really cares about what they do. Very professional, and accommodating, while I as waiting they also repeatedly checked on me and offered me beverages. First class service. These guys are great. I showed up requesting an install, without an appointment (not recommended, I made a mistake, please make an appointment to be sure they can take you!) and they decided to squeeze me in - so they got points right off the bat for being accommodating, and not just turning me away (like I said, I made the no-appt mistake, they would have been within reasoning to tell me they were booked up!) The guys there are great (did I say that already?) - just awesome. So friendly, and knowledgeable, and they did a fantastic job installing my head unit, four speakers, and steering wheel controls. They finished more quickly than they estimated, patiently showed me how the new head unit worked and made sure I was comfortable with everything - even though I put them behind by showing up unannounced, I didn't get a sense of any hurriedness on their part when showing me my new stuff. Very professional. They did a fantastic job getting everything (balance, tune, sound, etc) set up, installing the microphone and Sirius antenna, putting everything back together so you can't tell any work was done. I have never done anything like this before, so I was nervous after reading reviews of other shops about the music sounding bad, improperly replaced trim, etc - but I did not need to worry, as these guys have years and years of experience, seem to love what they do, made me feel like a valued customer, and they did an A-1 job. I am going to go back for some new/replacement tinted windows, I have full faith and confidence that I will be equally as pleased with that service as well. Oh, and the estimated quote and final bill were just great, much less than other shops. I held my breath half-thinking maybe the final bill would maybe be higher than the over the phone estimate, but no, all came in just like I was expecting. Perfect!! Also, did i mention I showed up before they opened for business, they were getting the shop ready, but took me right in. Both employees who saw me greeted me right away, were very polite, professional, and not bothered at all by my early arrival - and as I stated, they checked their full schedule and decided they could squeeze me in, but I highly recommend that you make an appointment - I felt bad they got behind, just so they could accommodate me. As other employees arrived, they all greeted me and made sure I was being taken care of when they saw me standing in the waiting area - exceptional customer service, from start to finish. Let me say that when you meet the staff, you immediately know these guys are not doing this work just for a paycheck. These guys are real car fanatics. I've had tint installed, as well as a full alarm and remote start installed. They have gone above and beyond to make sure everything worked (including staying well after hours to install everything right) and I really felt I could trust my car with these guys. One word - Outstanding I needed a navigation and back up camera installed within the dash on my MDX. It meant they needed to replace my center console body part and replace it with the one that would fit the Navigation. It's a hard custom job and takes around 2 day's work. I checked almost all places (around VA/MD) and everyone quoted me some outrageous amount to do the job but Lo and his team not only quoted me a reasonable amount but did an Amazing job. I now have a navigation on my dash which looks just like the factory installed one and of course the back up camera, specially the navigation placement and installation is totally NEAT. I left my MDX with them for 2 days and I must say it's in the exact same condition and they even cleaned the area once they were done with the work. Very trustworthy, honest and reliable team. I went to Unique Audio to have a new head unit installed in my car. I got a couple estimates from a few shops and Unique was right in the ball park as far as cost went but had better availability than some of the other shops that had weeks long waits for an install. We had a bit of an issue scheduling the install but they went out of their way to make up for it. They also went out of their way to make sure everything was working before I left the shop. I know some of the other shops just said that my phone wouldn't work with the head unit (it does) because they obviously didn't spend the proper amount of time with the customer to trouble shoot the system. I purchased a remote start system from Unique Audio and the experience was solid. When I arrived it was a pleasant and clean business to walk into. I was met in the front and all options were discussed and I was given pros and cons regarding all of my options. Once I selected the system and accessories I wanted we looked at the installation calendar. It was close to Christmas when I purchased but they were able to get me in within 6 days, which was faster than I expected! I arrived on the scheduled morning, dropped my vehicle off and was given details on what to expect. It was also asked if I wanted to keep the previously agreed upon items or adjust for different key fobs or packages. Although I didn't change anything it was nice to be offered the option. Upon completion they called and when I arrived we went over the functionality of the product. Install was clean with no problems. Fast forward about a week. My wife stopped to get fuel but her gas door would not open. It's a push button near the install area. I called Unique, vehicle on fumes and they told me to bring it over and they'd see if it was something they missed during the install. When I arrived the technician dropped everything mid project, came out popped the panel and noticed one of the plugs wasn't completely reinserted. Easy fix, but the fact that they said come over and we'll check it out is solid customer service, in my opinion.
