Neighborhood sushi spot which is takeout or delivery only. They are pretty efficient and the sushi is fresh. They have wonderful platters. Can't go wrong with a platter for large groups or for parties. Medium or small patters are the way to go. Great variety of salmon, tuna, and rolls. The rainbow rolls are the best. Love the variety and definitely satisfies your sushi cravings.

We ordered shrimp tempura roll and eel roll also one crazy roll. 2 of each. It was delicious. Must try . Nice place efficient and clean. If I could give 10 STARS. BEST ROLL HOUSE. NEW NAME KENNY'S. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. DELICIOUS

We had a birthday party so I ordered a sashimi sushi, roll party platter medium size. I called in advance to book and everything was very convenient. It's cheaper to pay by cash than by card because there is an extra charge in card. The sashimi itself was great I really enjoyed it and it was so tender. The rice in the sushi and roll however was a bit hard and did not taste that great, I feel that could've been better.

Great hidden spot for a quick sushi bite with cute modern Japanese theme decors. The front lady is super nice and friendly. Great menu selection and all made with fresh ingredients. To my surprise our order also came with miso soup. Give this a try, you won't be disappointed. I will return again.

This was better than the sashimi platter. Eel roll

This place is disorganized when it becomes very busy. They provide unrealistic timing for pick up. I had to wait an extra hr for my order!! Not only is timing bad, their quality of fish is horrible. These are not fresh sashimi.. they are all precut from a box that they take out. You can definitely taste that it is not fresh! Completely disappointed to come here..

Should list out for ppl to be more aware of what they'll be getting....& chef needs to learn how to properly slice the fish so the muscle fibers aren't in your bite

Chirashi Sushi

fast, fresh, and great customer service! got their chirashi bowl and a diet coke. total was about $26, but they have a cash discount if you'd like. i was immediately greeted with a big smile and a menu. loved how they decorated the inside with cute halloween decorations! i try to avoid a lot of rice if i could, but their sushi rice is flippin' good! more of a take out place, but they do have some chairs and a table! free hand roll if you spend $20+

My favorite Sushi place in Flushing. Ordered the salmon combo, yellowtail avocado roll and fish mango spring roll. Everything so fresh ! Free hand roll too. Soup & Sushi Rice. Magnificent!

Their service was a bit slow given the amount of orders they get in, especially through online. We came as walk-ins. The wait was worth it though, as I wasn't expecting Union Sushi to have such fatty thick sashimi pieces! They even throw in a free hand roll for orders over $20. I do wish they close slightly later though, as they would surely satisfy my sushi cravings more often.

A decent option if you're looking for a sushi party platter! I have done takeout from here twice, and it doesn't seem like they're offering dine in at the moment. You can call in advance and depending on how busy they are, they can usually have your order ready within an hour or whenever you request you want to pick up. The platter offers ok variety but both times, the rolls would kind of fall apart easily. I wish they could roll it slightly tighter! Their pieces are a bit on the smaller side so that could be a contribution.

Large sashimi platter and large sushi platter, lots and lots

After the pandemic I was a bit disappointed when I felt they skimped on plating and utensils making it feel cheap and low effort, but since then they have brought back a lot more of that aesthetic and vibe I loved all those years ago. Now contrary to that-- Flushing locations a COMPLETELY different vibe. It's brightly lit, spacious, clean aesthetic (both locations are clean sanitary wise) and overall it's a nice spot to meet friends and grab a bite. The fish quality is always fresh, and this past time I went especially it was good. The servers are very attentive, constantly coming by to clean away any plates and trash and asking if we need water or tea refills often. The place was busy but I didn't feel like I was struggling to have conversation an overall I enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately Akino cannot be called a budget ayce anymore as you'll likely spend 45-50 per person if you choose to get drinks with your meal. But still for all the aspects it does offer I'd say it's worth it once in a while. For those new to Akino there's no uni served here but the service and consistent staple options on the menu make Akino a great addition to the neighborhood.

I arrived at 6pm and there were a few customers already dining, by the time it was 7pm, it was almost full. Was in a nice group who, like me, enjoys a place with great food. We started with soft shell crabs, edemame, chicken katsu, gyoza, and lots of drinks. Peter, our bartender, was awesome. As you will see in my photos, he can make some well adorned drinks and he is a nice guy as well. I pretty much stuck to a smooth Nigori Sake they stock. I chose the omakase dinner which was fabulous. The sushi is very fresh and it just keeps on coming. Meanwhile Felicia, our server, was constantly checking in to see if everything is going well. She had a easy going quality about her, and very calm and smooth in bringing our meals. This turned out to be quite a nice night. Wabi Nori is a great date place, or a place to bring a family. I would certainly return for the quality of everything, atmosphere, service and food!!!

We tried Kaizen before and the quality/atmosphere is very similar so they probably have the same suppliers and maybe even same owners just rebranding. We ordered 2 mixed drinks from happy hour and they were fine but very sweet and not much alcohol. We also got the 6 handroll combo that came with spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail, scallop, crab and lobster. I asked for less rice but the waitress said they don't put a lot of rice so I let it be. It was A LOT of rice. We also couldn't taste the difference between the rolls because all the fish was super chopped up and heavily seasoned so everything was mushy and tasted the same. Although service was good, we won't be back and can't recommend this spot :(

The appetizers…read morewere super yummy, most memorable for me was the chawanmushi and toast with tuna tartare and sturgeon caviar. The nigiri was good as well, they don't use toppings that you normally see at other omakases (of similar price point) so the nigiri was more similar to the nigiri served at authentic japanese omakases (not sure if this is Japanese owned but I don't think so). Nigiri was also not the typical basic fish (e.g salmon, unagi), but fish like barracuda and kinmedai. For dessert, we had fior di latte ice cream which was amazing, I still think about it, and they were kind enough to give us an extra one. Service was great and not too talkative or invasive. They gave us a letter at the end which showed everything we ate at the omakase that day and personalized with your name on it which I thought was nice. Not sure if they changed the course throughout the day though since some of what was on the letter was not what we had during the course. They also gave us a candle. Overall, a little pricy to be honest but the experience was very personal and felt very upscale.

It is $165 for a 13 course - it also comes with appetizer and dessert as well. The place is located inside Siam Thai - behind a bookshelf, the vibes are immaculate back there. The chief was so friendly and took his time to explain each dish to us and also took time to chat with us which I thought was really nice especially since I have mainly been to "fast casual" omakase locations recently where they don't really chat with you. There was a good variety of appetizers, fish and dessert. The appetizer options were so unique and the platting was so pretty. The fish options were also very plentiful and I liked the topping that they put on top of each one, the rich was not as warm and soft as I would usually like it but they paired well with the fish. The portion sizes were also pretty large which I thought was nice especially since we were paying about $165 a person. If you are getting sake, they do let you sample the sake before opening the whole bottle. The presentation of the opened sake was also so fancy. Overall - if you want a more traditional omakase experience, I highly recommend checking this place out. The vibes are immaculate and you will have a good time chatting with the chef while enjoying your food!
