Huckleberry Mule, really enjoyed this drink. Dan, very knowledgeable individual, recommend I should try this.

This whole city is just KEWL! Drinking a Union Berry Mule which is a twist on the Moscow made with Huckleberry Liqueur! People working here are really cool and friendly. Service is great and it's a quaint place that's relaxing.

Bloody Mary

Welcoming, make good Bloody Mary, fresh ingredients. Best Bloody Mary I've had. Carol is awesome. People that come in are friendly, but not prying. Enjoyed the morning in this place.

Pork Belly Burger (no bun) and side salad (on left).

In town for a youth sporting event and chose this restaurant due to being pet friendly w/outside seating and gorgeous weather. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was amazing with our 8 week old puppy, even bringing her a disposable water dish. The kids both got burgers and fries; they were happy. Hubs had Fish & Chips and said while it was a large portion it was just so-so. I chose the Pork Belly Burger.... I had asked the server if it was ground pork belly and they made a patty like a regular burger to which she said yes. Well, no it's not. It's is sliced but not like any other pork belly I have had. I'm Low Carb so I asked for No Bun and informed my waitress I had my own burger bun. I chose a side salad to keep within my meal plan. When my plate arrived I decided to eat it as is w/out any bun. I took a picture of my meal as it was the only one not already pictured on YELP. I do agree with another poster their beers are on the smaller side. You can see it in my photo. All in all, it fit for our needs with having the puppy on the road trip but the food wasn't anything special.

We visited the beautiful Catholic Church and visited with Tim who has worked at the church for about 15 years. He was very nice and has a lot of fun info on the church and town. VC is an old silver mining town and it still looks like it did way back then. Wood boardwalks through town with lots of gift shops . We visited in the off season but starting in May there are all sorts of things to go. Train rides, old time gun shows. It's definitely a tourist town but a fun one. The drive up was very pretty. Ended up at Mark Twain Saloon and it was a great stop. Great looking old bar. Bartender was fun. Had sone whisky and a beer. Visited with a couple locals and had a great time.

In the last year the took over the space next door to the south. This space has a small kitchen for snacks and some gaming machines, making the original area less crowded. The old school bar and decor is a step back to days when miners would come in for a whiskey after hours of searching for silver. On non event days it's nice to enjoy the great staff. During events the Twain can be quite popular and busy.

I remember taking the mine tour and being amazed that it is a part of our local history. I met some friends on a chilly Friday evening for drinks and karaoke. There was quite the crowd already at 8pm and I could tell it was a popular local watering hole. All the patrons were singing along with each karaoke guest and having a great time. The bartender was a very nice guy that was doing a great job keeping up with everyone despite being the only one behind the bar that night. We made sure to tip him well. He was slinging fresh cocktails, fresh draft pours, and some ready to drink cocktails. A couple of us put our names and song choices in for karaoke, the DJ had pretty much everything available to him. The songs ranged from classic rock, classic country, modern rock, modern country, 80's chart toppers, and some obscure songs that a number of locals got pumped up to hear! I got up to belt out my raspy rendition of The Promise, it was fun to get to 'perform' in front of a crowd again. A couple others in my group sang their hearts out as well. We will be back soon!

The staff are very friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in the door. The place was very clean also. I ordered the Classic Reuben with cole slaw. There is a small upcharge for sides other than fries. The Reuben was the BEST i have ever had. That includes the famous delis in New York city . However, the cole slaw was not very good. I told our server and he offered me something else , which I appreciated . I definitely recommend this restaurant when your visiting Virginia City. You won't be dissapointed.

The decor definitely fit the name, and the staff passed the vibe check. Greeted immediately and sat at a sizable table, I noticed plenty of seating availability; however, space was rather tight with regard to table placement. We found the menu to be extensive and combed through the plethora of choices before landing on our final decisions. Always eager to try new things, I noticed there were quite a few specialty cocktails, including spiked milkshakes. I opted for the Vanilla Kahlua, and I would do it all over again! The milkshake was blended to perfection, smooth with a little razzle-dazzle you didn't know you needed. The kids opted for chocolate milkshakes they loved and rated 10/10. Very much like our other dining experiences, the kids settled on chicken tenders and fries while we, on the other hand, chose to explore our options. We started off with chilli cheese fries along with spinach and artichoke dip served with house-made tortilla chips. The portions for both appetizers were well-sized and delicious. We managed to get quite the cheese pull with the chilli cheese fries, and the house-made tortilla chips were most definitely worth writing home about; they were perfectly sized, light, and airy with an excellent amount of crisp that added texture to the flavorsome spinach and artichoke dip. For our entrees, he ordered the bacon egg and cheese burger with fries; there was an option for a turkey Reuben; however, I'm not a fan of sauerkraut, so I politely requested a turkey Rachel, and although it wasn't an option on the menu, they obliged much to my heart's delight! It's the little things Of course, the food did not disappoint! My sandwich was toasted impeccably with the right amount of butter melted, offering a decadent crisp that merged nicely with fillings making up my sandwich. Truthfully, I was beyond impressed with the aesthetic of the establishment, the services provided, and how flavorful the food was. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging, which made our experience even more memorable, so much so that we eagerly anticipate our next visit.

Its a big event so we understood that a server couldnt seat us or take our order at the table. My other half and daughter had a seat in the room beside the balcony and I went to the bar to order. They bartender wasnt busy with customers but was talking with another staff member. I sat at the bar for 10 min when another customer walked up. I thought it was strange how he was helped immediately. I sat there for another minute confused. Then I decided it would be better not to use my money at this establishment. I want to mention that one of the staff members that was wiping tables and setting out condiments was very nice but at the bar for some reason I was invisible. Side note: I was reluctant to visit Virginia city because of recent events that happened there to another person of my skin tone. I try to give places a benefit of a doubt and not judge a whole place from one incident. I can say not feeling welcome does contribute to my concern as a mother and a person of color. I want to caution others to make your own judgements but please stay safe. If you dont feel welcome please do not cause a scene the best you can do is not use your money at places like this one and write a review. Eventually people will see the truth and hopefully the establishment and associates will reevaluate how they choose to do business. Just my suggestion. Take care and stay safe
