We dropped off car after seller said we were going to find nothing. It was a long wait for the car but he did find some issues. He also was honest with us and not wanting to give us unfair assessments. We were glad to find him and another mechanic confirmed the same issue that this shop found. We were able to talk the seller down and both parties went away pleased. It's a smaller shop and is a wait but the guy was honest (which another shop was clearly working with the buyer and so that was a weird story) and we were glad to get the car with eyes wide open.

When I went to pick it up, I was shocked the car was outside covered in snow. There was plenty of space in their garage to keep the over inside to avoid the snow. Since this is a rental car with Florida plates, I have to park it in a garage since the city doesn't give us resident parking permits. Because of this, I don't have a snow brush or ice scraper. It's a rental!! They knew this. Pep Boys did very little to help and just handed me a broken broom. This was completely irresponsible of them. This place doesn't just overcharge; they systematically falsify safety reports and treat your vehicle like a piece of junk. 1. Blatant, Face-to-Face Fraud: Their "Service Checklist" claims they checked my lights, wipers, cleaned the glass, and adjusted all tires to 35 PSI. Every single one of these is a lie. I stood right there and watched them "work" on my Mazda CX-5, yet none of these tasks were performed. I left the shop with a broken driver-side wiper, a visibly low front-right tire, and dirty windows. They even charged me for adding windshield washer fluid, yet the reservoir remains bone dry. The Red Flag: If they are bold enough to fake visible services while I am standing right in front of them, there is ZERO chance they performed the "hidden" checks like differential or transmission fluids. It is a total scam. They are committing fraud. 2. They Trashed My Interior (See Photos): Beyond the dishonesty, they have zero respect for customer property. I found greasy, oil-covered handprints all over my leather seats, steering wheel, and center console. The engine oil cap and glovebox were left sticky and filthy. Professional shops actually clean up after themselves,these people clearly don't care. 3. Premium Price for Zero Service: They charged me $59.99 for a simple cabin air filter (a $15 part) while failing to perform the basic maintenance I paid for.
