A few weeks back my husband and I started the process of selling our car, we were moving overseas and had decided against storing it. I had reached out to a couple different dealerships in the area. Unicars was actually not on my list and they reached out to me to make an appointment. I had made the appointment with Rebecca and was told to ask for here when we arrived. Upon walking in a man asked how he could help and I let him know I had an appointment with Rebecca for an appraisal, he immediately said, "Oh no, she's just a receptionist, you'll want to speak to our sales person." I was pretty immediately put off by that response and a little confused since Rebecca was very specific in her emails to ask for her. Upon meeting with the sales guy, I do not remember his name, he barely spoke to me, requested my keys and walked out. There was absolutely no conversation and I really felt like we were inconveniencing him. When he came back in he quotes 2k under the low end of KBB. My husband and I were obviously pretty shocked by that and as soon as our keys were returned to us the salesman turned and walked away. The entire experience was so off putting that weeks later it is still in my mind. If you're looking for better customer service and better atmosphere drive the distance to Honda of the Desert. We were paid the high end of KBB and walked out within 30 minutes with a check. I'm not sure why a company would reach out to a customer if they weren't actually interested in buying. Do better. read more

A great location. A huge inventory of cars to choose from. The cars are all so clean on the lot. A great staff of friendly and well trained professionals. I was amazed at how well they knew their product. They must be studying you tube channels constantly. While test driving the salesman pointed out so many features my head was spinning. They are willing to work out a deal to get you behind one of their cars. I like this place read more

I realize Mondays are the busiest time to call but, to leave me on hold for 10 minutes is kind of crazy. The person on the phone in the service department had a stark tone to her voice and sounded as if I was bothering her. Needless to say, I will not be using Unicars Honda. Unicars can diffently take some customer service pointers from Honda of the Desert. read more

Really disappointed with the service department 5 months ago got my oil change noticed my car was jumpy after a couple days went by I opened the hood my transmission plug wasn't closed. I went to a different shop and got that fixed So I went Unicars to get my oil change, really quick I knew I was gonna be in and out quick, I got my car but something told me to open the hood, so I opened it and my transmission plug was wide open A service writer came out all he said was I'll speak to my manager and will resolve the issue. I was like that's it ?!?! I'm not bashing Hondas because they're great cars But Unicars probably the last place to get your car worked out Never going again read more

Nick thanks for taking care of my Jeep. Even though it felt like a long time (for me) you made it a very speedy process. Nick was very understanding with the amount of phone calls he received from my husband and I, great service. Thanks again Nick. As far as the girls who answer the phones when selecting option 2 for service, they can use ALOT more training. To have rude people answering your phones as the initial point of contact with your company is definitely a turn off. read more

We brought our daughter's car in for a new head gasket and other repairs. $3000. They did not put the oil filler cap back on, exposing the engine to all sorts of sand and dust. They did not fill the radiator fully, it required another quart of coolant. There was oil all over half the engine. We brought it back. They changed the oil, filled the radiator and told us they would clean the oil residue from the engine. They didn't. They said it was their 'top mechanic' who did the initial work. God only knows what the other mechanics are capable of. I do not find them to be a reliable or ethical place to have a car serviced. read more

The negative review I have for Unicars Honda has nothing to do with my salesman or the sales manager. They were great. Gave me a great deal. I was happy up until today when I went to pick up my proceeds check and it was $85 short. They have a bogus charge of $85 for you to keep your personalized plate. I have never heard of charge of this nature I have carried with me on other vehicles and no other dealership has ever charged me to keep my own personal life plates. The finance manager Josie gave me my due bill with the correct amount of the proceeds, but when I got the check, it was $85 short. And you know it's bogus when they don't put the $85 deduction on the check stub but that's fine. I will not live or die for $85. However, I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership and will also recommend to my family and friends if they're looking for a Honda product to go elsewhere. read more

The worse costumer service ever. They treated me like I don't know anything because I'm a woman. Be careful getting your service done here. First oil change I asked for a tire rotation as I just bought new tires and it was time to rotate so I asked for them to do so. I also had a nail in one of the tires that kept going low and my next stop was americas tire for to repair thought I would just rotate while I was already waiting on oil change. When I got to americas tires the nail was still in the same spot they never rotated and lied about it. Also they sold us on car with free oil changes come to find out if you don't have them do all the maintenance they won't do it. It was time to change brake fluid it was 199 at unicorns Honda 100-119 everywhere else so I opted out. Every maintenance service thru university Honda is double everywhere so there still technically making money. The sales lady wasn't very transparent on the oil changes. read more

So I recently purchased a new vehicle the car is great. The problem I have is the finance guy named Pedro had sold me on a platinum package protection, which he guaranteed me would have me covered if anything were to happen to my wheel which unfortunately I hit a pothole and my wheel was damaged and I've been calling him every day for over a month trying to take my car in to get fixed. I've already gave the first payment, and he still said the contracts have not been finalized so every day that I ride my car, more damage is being taken in. He also sold me on a platinum package deal that he guaranteed me. I could take my car in to get fixed with no questions asked and now he's asking me a lot of questions about the accident where my tire got damaged and after over a month he is now telling me that it is not covered mind you he said exactly that no questions asked when I signed the contracts and now he's telling me that it's not covered and it should be a learning lesson for both of us when he's the one who didn't say exactly what would not be covered his words specifically were you can come in no questions asked for any damage and now I'm being told otherwise. So I said is there anyway you can help me out at least this one time since I've already paid my first month and I'm paying for this platinum package which he guaranteed me covered any damage on my wheel and he is saying there's no way he can help me out which is BS and very unprofessional of him for not following through with exactly what he said. My advice would be to not purchase any kind of package protection from Pedro. He made it sound really good when it came to to signing and purchasing this "protection plan" that he guaranteed me would cover anything when it came to that specific damage. And the fact that I have to wait over a month to take my car in is also BS. It should be able to be fixed as quick as they were able to sell me the car and the protection plan. I am currently still calling everyday and still he tells me the contracts aren't finalized if I could, I would give this experience less than one star. From the first phone call I told pedro exactly what happened to my tire/rim and he told me it would be covered and on my last recent phone he said he didn't know about a certain detail and now all of a sudden I'm not covered. read more

I've been a Unicars Honda customer for at least 7 years. Just a great staff. From the sales to the service departments; the customer service is top notch. A shuttle is also available for extra convenience most of the time. read more

We recently purchased a used but only 23k miles car from Unicars. The sales team was great but there was a small scratch when we were given the car and we were told "Not a problem. We can have the service department buff that out." I had to follow up a few times about getting it scheduled, but got it scheduled. I showed up for my appointment and waited over an hour and still wasn't even GREETED by service member. I finally interrupted one and told him that I needed to reschedule. I took time away from work to drop the car off, and that was just ridiculous. I needed to get back to my other appointments. Fast forward to today when I had rescheduled for first thing in the morning. I showed up for my appointment and AGAIN had to wait over 30 minutes to be greeted. They saw the scratch and said "No problem. We can have that done in less than an hour." I had meetings so I left the car there for the day. I was called within 2 hours to say it was ready and picked it up before closing. I just got home and looked AND THE SCRATCH IS STILL THERE! WHAT EXACTLY DID THEY DO?! Nothing. I'm now awaiting a phone call back. I will say that every person I have interacted with there has been very kind. It's too bad the service department is so poorly managed. I wouldn't even recommend purchasing a car there at this point because then you might get entangled with this horrid department. read more

Our car broke down on us in the middle of a family vacation. This was the last thing we needed and the repair of the vehicle was unrealistic. Service was always top notch, but the last time I waited 6 hrs at the dealer for an oil change I had an appointment for. When I tried to make an appointment for the next one, they said they were booked and could not do it. The office person I spoke with, Amberly was dismissive and seemed to have no time to inquire about my situation. WILL NOT GO BACK THERE. read more

Thank you, Alex, for responding. The first thing I did was give the dealership an opportunity to make things right. I asked the GM if I could speak with the owner. I was told he (the owner) would not speak with me. Rather the GM would have to handle the matter and he said there is nothing he can do. My 90-year-old parent bought a used car worth $30k and was charged over $46k. He was totally taken advantage of. Please do something to make this right. read more

Waited 3 weeks for an appointment only to sit there for 4 hours waiting on an oil change and a tire rotation. They apologized but it simply isn't good enough. They should have told me it was going to be a while, I could have left, at any point they could have told me it is going to be another hour or more and I could have left. It is not professional, it's not how you run a business, and no one appreciates having their time so carelessly wasted. read more

This is a great Honda dealership. We just got a commuter car over the weekend here (a stunning midnight burgundy pearl 2018 Civic) through Juan Aguila and he was absolutely wonderful - went above and beyond to make sure that we got the deal we came in for, no shadiness, and very efficient too. He patiently allowed us to test drive various cars and answered any questions we had. The finance manager, Genaro Cabrera was not pushy at all with the add-ons like most are, and instead was a great conversationalist. It truly felt nice to complete necessary paperwork while having a few laughs with him. We were in and out of the dealership in about 3 hours, which I'd say is pretty efficient. We drove our BMW to the dealership, and the car we needed to trade in as part of the deal was an old Honda Accord with a wrecked driver's door (a giant truck ran right into it, making it so that the door could no longer open or close properly). Juan drove the new Civic to our house to swap and pick up the old Accord. I have never encountered such great customer service at any other dealership before! Before he took off, he took the time to make sure that we got everything we needed. Our experience at Unicars has been exceptional. We highly recommend this dealership to everyone in the market for a new Honda, specifically salesman Juan Aguila and finance manager Genaro Cabrera. Thank you guys! read more
