Went for an oil change and they suggested I get my brake fluid changed. What should have been 2 hours turned into 4...so far. I'm still here! When I asked what was going on. I was told we're short handed. Then why give a 2 hour estimate?? Why suggest the brake fluid?? Why not offer a shuttle to at least get something to eat?? I'm starving. Very disappointed!!! read more

Dropped my car off at 3:30 pm. (I had an appointment at that time.) I was originally going to wait in the waiting area until they told me it would take 2 HOURS - oh I forgot to mention all I was getting done was an oil change. After I heard it was going to be 2 hours, I had a friend pick me up and asked that I receive a call when my car was ready for pickup. I never received a phone call so eventually at 5pm I showed up and nobody was left in the waiting area and only 1 guy left at the service desks. I then receive my keys for my car - This is the second time the Technicians have left my car dirtier than I left it. The first time OIL was left on my beige fabric seats and I had to drive back for all them to do was scrub the seat with a cleaner. I purposely left a towel on my seat to prevent this from happening again, the towel was tossed on the floor. This time dirty finger prints were left on door panel, white powder and dirt was left on the back door panel?! The only reason I came to Unicars for oil changes is because I am leasing and they are "free." Sorry I forgot the oil change where they had left oil on my seat, the technicians also forgot to screw my under-panel back on and it was dragging while I drove. So, again I had to drive back out for them to fix it. read more

A walk in customer who arrived about the same time was bragging that he walked in after me, serviced first, and left 45 minutes ago. Going on hour 3 hoursof waiting. What good is an appointment? Went in today for an oil change and normally I just do a walk in. They turned me down because it was too busy and didn't have an appointment until 2 weeks out. Unfortunately I do Uber/Lyft on the side so I cannot go 2 weeks without doing the maintenance on my car so I decided to go to jiffy pibe and just pay for it there. They couldn't do it there either because the lug nuts on the bottom where stripped so I had to go back to Unicars. This time I was helped out by Carl Coggins and let me tell you this. He not only went above and beyond to get my car serviced but also fixed the lug nut issues. Took my car on the spot and turned my horrible day into an amazing one. After 15 min. of walking the lot a sales woman (Jessie) approached me while on her cell phone talking to someone else. Great start. I asked a question, then she had to go ask someone else because "she has been off and didn't know". I said the one was exactly what I wanted only the wrong color. Her response was "OK well good luck". So to whomever cares to know this is my typical experience over the past 5 years. Someone backed into my vehicle and damaged it. When I got the vehicle and started it, all the sensors were not working with a plethora of warning lights. Precision Collision could not fix it, nor could they account for not noticing it. Off to the care of Gus at Unicars Honda. Wow, what a pleasure it was having Gus manage the repair. It was such a stark difference between the total incompetence of Precision Collision (Palm Desert, CA) and the exceptional service Gus provided. Auto dealership service operations exist on their reputations and those reputations are the result of the technicians, but more so, the person with whom you interface. People like Gus insure Unicars has an exemplary reputation. Gus managed my repair, interfaced with both the body shop and the insurer, and continually called me with updates. In this case Gus sets the standard for the ideal service manager. Unicars Honda should be thankful it has people like Gus. read more

We purchased two cars from UniCars Honda 2/23/19 and it has been nothing but a hassle and lies. We have missing CarFax Reports for one-car still and when we finally received the report for the other car, it showed there were three active recalls on the car that they sold us. I will focus this review on this car, a 2016 Dodge Durango Limited. Firstly, if this dealership gives you online pricing, make sure they write your deal for that price because they didn't write ours for that price and we ended up paying $500 more. Now, in three weeks, this SUV has leaked oil all over the garage because both motor mounts broke within 24-hours of receiving it. Interestingly, they already had the car during the day at the dealership because the maintenance and oil change lights were on, as well as all tire sensors, so how this major issue was missed is baffling to me?!?! When purchasing, we were told there was a trailer hitch underneath the piece on the bumper that pops off. My husband crawled underneath looking at how to pull the piece off and didn't see a hitch, so I brought it back to the dealership and asked about it. Miles, our salesman said it was there and popped the piece off and surprise...no hitch!!! So, after back and forth, they put a hitch on for us. However, when Miles pulled the piece of the bumper off, it didn't go back on the way it was prior to him touching it. Luis, Miles boss told me to bring it back in and they'd put it back on the right way. Well, turns out Miles broke it and after hunting them like I'm on safari, they've decided they're not going to fix it because they "went above and beyond giving me the hitch already." When delivering the car, it was not detailed, nor did either car receive the full tanks of gas we were promised. I did receive $20 worth of gas but none for my husband because Miles saw his friend at the gas station and they started talking about where they were going to meet for beers later that night. Funny how they can get away with not detailing and fixing a minor issue Miles said they would take care of by just putting the third row up to hide it and then blaming you for not getting it in writing. Oh and there was no second key which we told him was a must when we buy a car or we don't purchase but then again, something else we didn't get in writing because we weren't disclosed that they didn't have it until we were pulling out of the dealership after almost 7-hours with our child. And I'll end with the free three-month wi-if subscription Miles tells you he's going to get you for your car...don't even bother listening because when you follow-up for the fifth time, he's going to tell you he doesn't recall in front of his boss, then text you another story, then not reply, then tell you sorry, I can't get it for you!!! Moral of story is don't buy one car here, let alone two, go somewhere that they respect you, your time, money, and want to get your repeated service!!! read more

He's a younger guy, so that's probably one of the reasons why it was easier to connect with him. He doesn't give off the used car salesman vibe like every other salesman does. I was having a problem with my Civic --it was making a weird noise and trouble turning over the starter/battery. I called for an appointment, but they said I didn't need one. Just bring your car for a diagnosis. My service agent, Gus, was very friendly and helpful. He even went to the bay, to test what I was describing--of course, the car started right up for him. He explained everything, in easy terminology and that it would be a while for the diagnosis and repair (if needed). He said he would call me with any updates and when it was ready. Gus requested the shuttle (which I really appreciated--not all dealerships do that anymore), Mark, shuttle driver, was very nice. He made sure that he knew if I needed a 'return/pickup' shuttle. Again, something I appreciated. I did need a pickup, but wouldn't know when, until Gus called me, with the results if the diagnosis. Gus called in the afternoon, with the diagnosis, it was the alternator (hence the weird noise). He gave me several options and the differences in price/quality/performance and helped make my decision. Then he told the technician what I had decided and to start the job. It took just over 1hour. Then, Gus, called to tell me that my car was ready. He would send Mark, driver, for pick up, before he was off-duty. Gus had 2 other customers at the same time. No problem. I was on the phone with friend. I was grateful to get my car back, I didn't mind waiting a few minutes. The work on my car had turned my radio off and they were nice enough to look up the re-start code. And they gave it to me to keep too. read more

Since it was late on Saturday, I called and Unicars Honda scheduled me for 10 am on Monday. I went in ....for the first time ...gorgeous showroom by the way!.....and knew I had made the right decision to come here. Brought my Honda Insight in to Service Dept on 10/20 at 10am for questions about the Tire pressure Sensor and the GPS Navigation. Service Advisor, Gus, recommended after some time to let the technician keep it overnight to continue testing the car which I agreed to. By 10am the next morning, he called me that the car was finished and ready to be picked up with the Sensor adjusted, no further GPS updates needed. No charges for services provided. I just bought a 2022 accord, 12k miles in and it fails on me. I called to get i check and they can't do anything until 2 weeks from now. So now I'm carless for those 2 weeks & have no way of making it to work since that's the only car i rely on. I bought a new car so I wouldn't be having issues and its been a nightmare. Also bought the insurance they offer and i did a claim it's been 1 month and I'm still waiting. Honestly if I would've known I would've gone somewhere else. My husband called and scheduled my car to be looked at since I was having electrical issues, was told to take car in on a Friday to drop off so technicians could look at it Saturday. When we arrived to drop off was told that no technicians would be working on Saturday because they have 3 day weekends and class on Tuesday. We rescheduled for the following Wed and my car sat there from 7:45 to 5:00 and my car was not even touched plus no calls for updates. Took my car and tried again two weeks later and guess what same thing was given an appointment on a Friday and was told "I'm sorry but we don't have technicians over the weekend but you can drop it off and it will be looked at on Tuesday" yea, No I don't think so. I emailed their service manager and never heard back not an email or phone call so if you are told the service manager will contact you it won't happen. Terrible service and they are always passing the buck on who's at fault from blaming the ladies that schedule your appointments to the technicians for not being there. Went to Honda of the Desert in Cat City my problem was taken care of the day it was scheduled with TWO updated phone calls from their service department. Plus get this Honda of the Desert will text you reminders of your appointment! Will be purchasing an new hybrid from Honda of the Desert it's worth the drive to avoid any issues. read more
