At my appointment time of 945 this Monday morning there was a line out into the street just to check my car in. I didn't have 45 minutes to an hour to burn, so I left. I called later and rescheduled to leave the car just before noon, and did so with very little wait time. Waiting a long time just to drop a car off when you have an appointment is not acceptable to me. I do appreciate being resceduled to a less crowded time, so Thankyou for that. First I'd like to start with thanking the best car sales man Gabriel Rosales he was amazing to my family and I when we stopped by this past Sunday to purchase my car!! Seriously made my experience amazing. So thankful to be part of the Honda family!!! read more

I do not Yelp that often, but I feel like my experience here is worth mentioning. There is a special place in heaven for Marcos Hernandez in the service department. I was driving from Arizona to California for job interviews when my 2008 Honda Cr-V decided to self-destruct on me. I got my car towed into the dealership and after a days worth of work I was able to get on the road and make it to Northern California for my two job interviews that week. Now, that is not the miracle part. The miracle is that I had $3,100 worth of immediate attention that needed to be addressed regarding the functioning of my car. Marcos was able to work with me to triage the situation and get done what needed to be done in order to get me back on the road ASAP. That included exploring multiple options, second hand parts, prioritize what was needed in the immediate timeframe, planning for subsequent visits, and financing options that allowed for payments in the form of cheaper installments. The reality is that I recently graduated and did not have $3,100 available. Marcos did what he had to do to get me on the road to my job interview and wished me luck on acquiring the job that would allow me to be able to fund the necessary repairs to my car at a later time. I am eternally grateful and would/will not hesitate to work with him again to get my car serviced in the future. read more

I was on a road trip and the maintenance light came on. Mario and the service department made time for me same day, they rotated the tires, changed the oil, and refastened a skid plate for about $70. The service also included an inspection and a quick car wash. The staff were all very professional and the space was clean and air conditioned. I had a great experience at Unicars Honda and would definitely recommend. read more

As always, the customer service at Unicars was outstanding. My battery went dead and when I brought into Unicars, they immediately began working on it. Jeremy was the customer service person and he provided an outstanding customer experience, by quickly taking my information, assuring me that my CRV would be taken care of and back in service. He called me a couple of hours later and handed me the keys to my SUV. Thank You Jeremy and Unicars! read more

Tried to purchase a used vehicle here but was passed around from one sales person to another and none of them wanted to come off the list price. Now after reading all of the one-star reviews, I guess I'm better off with Honda of the Desert. Don't know how these places stay in business. read more

A shout out to Unicars' service rep. Marcos and mechanic Aaron for a caring about and fixing my concern! I'm from the SF Bay Area staying at my vacay home and noticed a problem that I think my local SF Honda dealership should have noticed and told me about when I had my car serviced (15,00 mile service) there before the long drive down. My civic started "bottoming out" over speed bumps at home and through la Quinta area's dips when crossing intersections and entering commercial driveways. Marcos said my car was lower than other cars and would charge to put it up on the rack to diagnose the issue. I declined but seeing my concern, Marcos asked Aaron to test drive it with me. Experiencing the problem, Aaron said he would put it on the rack. I am truly grateful for their initiative and giving me a peace of mind. The problem was the metal and plastic shields were damaged and hanging down a bit. Unicars had the part in stock and fixed it. Unicar's driver, Mark, shuttled me home and back; everything went like clockwork. This is my second visit (and shout out) in a week (for a different issue) and I must say Unicars Service dept. is a well oiled machine, the oil being the staff! I have complete faith in them and will do all my servicing at Unicars. read more

TLDR: Manager Edgar lied, got greedy lost his salesman a sale. Said we wasted his time. Completely feel for the salesman, the salesman was kind, professional and knowledgable. When negotiating a price point we wanted to see the the payment with no money down to determine what amount would benifit us as a family. The salesman called his manager who asked us again what we wanted to put down we told him as well we would like to see the monthly payment with no payment down to determine if it was even worth putting money down looking at another vehicle, consider leasing, ect. Edgar informed us he couldnt even give us a monthly price unless we could put 4k down but he thinks he could help us out and only take a 3k down payment. We informed him we just want to see the price so we could decide ourself. Edgar informed us the bank wouldnt even let give us a price without at least 3k down. We told him we appreciated the effort but we would look at another dealership since we had offers with no money down. To which Edgar said, "oh wait let me see what i can do i think i can make it work". Our family had a weird feeling about the manager being less than honest with us about requiring a down payment and informed the salesman and the manager we appreciated their help but will be leaving. When asking for our keys and registration the manager Edgar went out of his way to express his emotions by stating and I quote "so you're just going to waste my time like that" I sarcastically replied "excuse me? I'm sorry, I wasted YOUR time?" I believe he caught himself after saying what he said and tried to make it seem like he was standing up for his salesman's time. Very unprofessional asked to speak with another manager but this manager would not leave me alone after me informing "i do not wish to speak with you anymore" it appeared to piss him off even more and i had to ask 2 more times "i do not wish to speak to you anymore" before he stormed off and told the salesman to "get his stuff and get him out of here". I spoke to another manager who I made sure to inform that the salesman did a great job and it was not his fault for this sale falling through. He also heard the commotion from the previous manager's rant and appologized. Will definitely call back Monday to let the store owner know that if that's his reaction to someone politely requesting to shop around he should be aware. Bad days happen but whoa that was way out of line. read more

Professional associates, must have good management, associates seemed happy to be there.

The customer service is appalling. I called for a simple matter, and the person who answered the phone was not only completely unhelpful, she was also very rude. I patiently explained again, and she became confrontational, and actually hung up on me. It wasn't an accident, either, because she told me was doing it. When I called back, a different person answered, and I asked to speak to a manager. They then gave me the run-around, connecting me through seven different people over a period of eleven and a half minutes before finally connecting me to a manager. Each time a different person picked up, I simply explained that I was calling to speak to a manager. The manager who took my call was helpful, and he apologized for the poor service. He then helped me with my simple matter. Even though the manager seemed professional enough, I will avoid doing any future business with Unicars Honda whatsoever. I own three Hondas, including the one I just bought, and I am sure I will do more business with Honda in the future; but from now on, I will drive a bit farther to use a different dealership. read more

I started off with a pretty good texting conversation with a salesman at this dealership. We came to a price agreement, he provided a broken down out-the-door total price and we were basically good to go. All I had to do was drive out to preview and test drive the car and provide them a check. Everything was going so well, I couldn't believe the many negative Yelp reviews here. WELL, BELIEVE THEM. THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A BAD EXPERIENCE. Believe it when you read they hold your driver's license hostage so you can't leave. Believe it when they want your social security number and other personal information to run a credit check, even though you're providing your own funding.  My initial text message to the salesman was if the car was still available and as to the overall condition of the vehicle. I was told it was in EXCELLENT condition with NO dings or scrapes. Later in the day, the salesman notified me of a bullet shaped ding which was discovered while washing the car. They said they could repair it for less than $100 (contrary to two bids I got for $500-$600). I agreed to pay the extra "$100" myself since they had accepted my offer and I believed I was getting a good deal. So, we were all set. Full agreement. As I started the 2 hour drive out there, the salesman texted and said he had a personal emergency and that his associate would help me. He described his emergency and it sounded bad, so ok no problem, understandable. However, when I arrived to the dealership (within the window I gave him), his associate was too busy to talk to me or show me the car. What?!  In good hands?!  She had ZERO intetest in talking to me and pushed me off on a young guy, who was rather green, but very nice and helpful. As we preceeded to view the car ..... DRUMROLL PLEASE ...... I couldn't believe my eyes. Dings, scratches and scrapes all around the car, maybe 10 or so, including some long significant scratches. Furthermore, a lot of the rubber was discolored, weathered and even peeling from the hot desert sun. Lastly, there were tears to the leather interior. Ive included 3 sample photos in case someone thinks Im exaggerating. I loved this car. I wanted this car. I drove 2 hours to test drive it. But I was appalled at the bad cosmetic condition and the MISREPRESENTATION. They kept me hostage for TWO HOURS. The first hour we were trying to work something out. The manager said "I wont discount this car another penny", to which I replied, "I didnt ask you too!" Their solution was for me to pay a percentage of repairs and they would do "the best they could" (very unspecific). I tried talking to them about an extended warranty, thinking if they gave me a deal on that, maybe I could live with some of the dings and scrapes. I waited another hour with no answer. No one with knowledge was available. By 2 hours time I was steaming mad and finally left. In conclusion, we struck a deal before I got there, the car was rough and misrepresented, I wasted 6 hours of my day and $50 in gas. Believe the negative reviews. Hold on to your driver's license.  Beware. Avoid. Not reccomended. What IS a Unicar anyway?! read more

I got a car from Unicarshonda on 8/23/21 , I realized with more inspection the car had had lot of defects , tires were worn out , the windshield glass had a crack the sunroof squeaked when opened and while it closed it sounded like broken glass. Back cameras were pushed in. I didn't receive a copy of contract the day of my purchase nor a receipt of the 10,000 down payment . I returned the car the next day 8/24/21. I was not happy with interest rate of 13 % not my payment of 637 . The car has 74,000 miles and they over charged me. The person I spoke to GM didn't want to negotiate on 8/24/21. He threatened my wife and I to make the vehicle as a REP even tho it was return the next day in the exact conditions and miles. They not want to return my down payment. I asked them who was financing me and they kept telling me they couldn't tell me and got different company names .They even gave me the car with no gas I gave it back full tank. Now they are forcing me to get another vehicle with them , I'm not happy and all we want is your money back and leave all this behind.. read more

i've held off reviewing my most recent 'service' experience. something about this place... last few times i've been there, very shitty service indeed. i took my car in for another routine service, oil change, tires rotated, etc. came in around 9 am and was told it would be about an hour and a half . After three hours and more I inquired at the desk and spoke with Angel, who immediately said I'm sorry, but they forgot.. Meaning they forgot to service my car after 3+ hours however, he did tell me that the oil was changed I'm not 100% sure since no other fluids were tend to my washer fluid was empty. My car was dirty as it was when I brought it in, so I never got a car wash my tires whenever rotated. This is the second time in a row. My tires weren't rotated at all. you'd think i would have got that service satisfaction survey they always send after service... but you'd be wrong, never got one, same thing last time. figure they only send them when they don't totally screw up the easiest thing, oil change. i am done going here, what's the point? is it the 'FREE' oil changes that cost $30 because they rotate tires? nope, since it's really not that free if you pay $30 is it? my main concern is if they are actually doing anything at all, beside looking at the car while it's parked out in the lot, because they sure ain't tending to it. read more

I am very pleased with the deal my fiance and I made on our brand new 2014 Honda Civic LX. We worked with Justin, and he really worked hard to get the deal to our liking. I got a great APR, great price on the car and incentives, and they even threw in a free scotch guard service! I am paying less then I thought I would have with having done research on the car pricing as well as my expected APR. We couldn't be happier. John, our finance guy was also very nice and great to work with and gave us a great deal on our warranty. I didn't check yelp reviews before coming, but I am really surprised with all the negatives. Zero stars! And I mean Zero.... I went into the dealership to look at the Honda Accord Hybrid. I let the salesperson know that I would not be making a purchase that day as I was researching hybrids and simply wanted to take a test drive. First, I was told they did not have any on the lot. Not true, there were quite a few. The salesperson reluctantly got the keys and I test drove it. He barely spoke to me, offered no insight or incentive and once done, abandoned me in the parking lot. It was clear from the moment I said I would not be purchasing that day that he decided there would be absolutely no customer service extended for me. I am still considering Honda but will NOT be purchasing from this dealership! read more

It's amazing when you go in to buy a car they my wait on you hand and foot. Once they have your money secure, they don't care about you. I just called because I took my car for an oil change during my break. I had to get back to work so I left my car. They said they would call me when ready. I never got a call. I called because I need my car. Service is closed and sales managers said they have no way to contact the service manager. I have no transportation until tomorrow. IMPORTANT Update to prior post: Despite our great SERVICE experiences here (see our prior post below this update), we DEFINITELY DO NOT ADVISE BUYING A CAR FROM UNICARS HONDA. My husband and I have purchased 4 used Hondas over the last 25 years from Honda of Ontario, DHC Honda of Temecula, and Diamond Valley Honda. All of our experiences have been EXCELLENT and the cars we've purchased have lived up to all of our expectations--EXCEPT when we purchased our latest vehicle from UNICARS HONDA. We have been so very disappointed by the lack of concern and follow-up associated with this purchase. The ONLY time the Sales Manager has paid ANY attention to us was to try to take our picture with a "thumbs up" (for advertising purposes) just after we made our all cash purchase. We declined--thank goodness--since we had not even driven the car off the lot and been given time to find out how the SALES side of this establishment operates. Now we have... THANKS FOR NOTHING MILO! read more

WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE. I had been looking at a Civic Hatchback 2019. I went in a week prior to look at it in person and for a test drive. I went in the following week wanting to purchase it. They did not want me to purchase this car but rather older inventory. They tried to show me a 2018 accord and when I went out to see what was taking so long they were trying to jump it. Wasting my time and theirs. They also showed me a 2018 Civic Hatchback in Red that I clearly didn't want. They said I had to put an outrageous amount down to purchase the 2019. So I walked away. A couple weeks later, I went to Honda of the Desert and purchased the car I WANTED. It was such a great experience. I hope no one has to go through this it was such a waste of time. Go to Honda of the Desert!!! the people there are so nice and really care about your car buying experience. read more

In all my years I've never been made more comfortable By a car salesman. Nico Alzatti at Unicars has blown me away. Imagine a car salesman who you trust. He is no pressure, he listened to our needs, he suggested solutions, worked hard for us and we drove away in a new car the same day. His manager Os was the next to make our experience painless. Worked on getting our payments to a fair price, adjusted price to include warranty and again listened and made us feel comfortable and that we mattered. This team is doing everything right. And I must mention the finance manager. Just when you're thinking ok, these two are amazing Must be a fluke. Nope. We met Genero Cabrera Another jewel in this crown of teamwork. Went into service for a simple oil change and a new battery. Duration of service was about 1 1/2 hours which is expected. After picking up the vehicle, drove about 3 miles down the street, stopped and attempted to turn on the vehicle to no power. Turns out the service tech decided to not connect the wires correctly which resulted in the vehicle being left stranded even with a new battery. After checking under the hood, multiple oil spills were found in the engine bay. When returning to dealership, an apologize was issued but in a very aggressive matter which is unacceptable since their sloppy work caused a loss of time and having to return again to dealership. Overall job was very sloppy and unacceptable for the reputation they claim. read more

Horrible service DO NOT WORK WITH THE GINGER guy my wife and i was in unicar honda twice!! first experience i was approved for a 2018 car listed at $17000 with $1000 down with over 40,000 miles. but no one could explain why it had such high mileage then im told the payments will be $550 a month. Go back tonight to look at a 2012 car with over 100,000 miles check engine light on that no one could explain scratches all over the car exhaust leak and idle shaking and told im not approved because its a older car false i wasn't approved because there was something wrong with the car that they didn't want to disclose. So i ask about the car i was previously approved for come to find out it was a used rental car which explains the high milage and the new down payment price was 8,000 half the value of the car. I highly recommend avoiding this place someone's always having to go ask someone else for the answer to the questions you ask and are way to eager to get you inside to do paperwork before you test drive or inspect the car. So they can hide any mishaps with the car read more

- [ ] Sometime in May, money ready in hand to see a vehicle I was interested in. I had a strong down payment knowing that my co-signers credit was ok/decent. And I went in with hopes up. Once we checked the car out and finally sat down to talk numbers, I did notice the sales man wasn't really speaking, like he almost HAD to speak to us. Later on the vehicle did not accommodate with what I wanted for my monthly payments since, it was a used car. So instead they offered me a "better" or "more convient deal" since I was a first time buyer. The deal was to lease a car and my options were the accord/ civic. And I was feeling pretty sure about it. They convinced me to lease and take home a 2020 Red Honda Civic Sport. First, they completely rushed the process to get us out immediately since it was after closing time. So I allowed them to close the deal with my exact monthly payments. That is the whole reason why I even signed those papers to begin with. I left happy thinking I just signed my new car. - [ ] A week later excalty, they called me in & had informed me over the phone that the reason for the visit was an issue with my social & i had to bring it. I showed up to find out the the contract didn't go through. So why not be honest for the visit instead of lie? They had called me in because the contract didn't go through. Due to my co-signers credit. Not only that but they said to me; "We need $3,000 MORE" "Or we have to take the car away." - [ ] So why would they sign a contract and close a deal then, a week later inform you that it did not go through? That was not my problem nor, was I going to give them $3,000 MORE. So I thought about it & decided to give the car back & demanded my $4,000 down payment back. Then they hit me with, "No that's not an option." "We can't do that for you." & I questioned why. They were just threatening me earlier, that if I did not give more money down they were going to take the car away. They did not let me get my down payment back, even if it was my consumer RIGHT to return the car within the first 30 days of the purchase. - [ ] Instead they were going to look into trying with the banks again to see and do everything in their power so that I did not return the vehicle. - [ ] Because keep in mind. Once a vehicle drives off that lot, they lose value. They lose value with the added miles. They lose value because that car will be considered a "USED" car. That's why they did NOT want the car back. But I knew I did not want to do business with them. They were rude, dishonest & manipulators. Just to gain another sale. - [ ] They did not contact me until 2 weeks later. They said they would in 4 days. And I believe they couldn't get the deal to close so I received a phone call that they needed the car back & I was happy to return it. I am so glad I did NOT do business with these people. Getting a car for a first time is supposed to be something special. Something very important and meaningful. They completely ruined that for me. - [ ] Marcos, Dominic & the owner, Danny. read more
