My 13 year old son and I got open water certified and had a fantastic experience with Ryan as our instructor.

I had her class today and it was great, then I read her 1 bad review from Ted A. and had to…read morerespond: Information sticks in people's heads when the information is embedded in example stories. Stories from the instructor and from the experiences of the students. It's up to the student's if they want to share their experiences, it's not forced. Many students have worked a childcare profession for years and need to renew every 2 years. Which means they have stories of emergencies that happen to them and they can relate to the serious lessons being taught. I am sorry Ted A. with the one star review doesn't normally learn through conversation and other's experiences. It sounds like Ted wanted a straight forward list and then to leave. That's my guess. But, for me it was a 2.5 hour class and it was all encompassing. She covered all the material and she had added advice and stories to back up her lessons. For example, I needed my CPR cert because I am applying to be a Nanny. Since she asked me what job I needed the CPR cert for, she was able to give me advice about knowing for sure what addresses I am at in case I need to call 911, because she knows as a Nanny, I won't always be stationary. I am grateful she brought that to my attention and would recommend her class to anyone needing their CPR cert. She has a great attitude and is highly knowledgeable. Will probably go back in 2 years.

I found this distracting and did not feel comfortable being interviewed about my life as part of the training. A very small portion of the time was the actual training. I would not recommend this company.

A lot of other places would advertise a given amount (for example $35-50) but then the CPR book and skills portion were extra. Sometimes costing near $100 total! SafeGard was thankfully upfront and it was a flat $35 for the online class and skills portion and they are an actual training center for the American Heart Association. Getting registered and taking the online test was a little winded and lengthy, but eventually I was set up and taking my classes right away. I then was able to take the skills portion at the actual office which is just next door to Black Raven brewery. Carrie was our instructor and was very lively and informative. Class was 2 hours and after quite a few chest compressions on a dummy I got my CPR card! It was so easy and affordable. I'd recommend SafeGard for anyone needing to get certified ASAP.

Each time I've taken the classes here, they've been informative and straight forward. The instructors are always welcoming and knowledgeable. They welcome questions and do well explaining situations and procedure alongside the training videos. The classes are easy to sign up for and have plenty of availability. The classes are about 4 or so hours long, with a few breaks in between which is nice. It's always nice to see folks taking these classes simply because they're into being outdoors where much of this comes in handy. I do leave each of these classes feeling more confident about helping someone potentially in need.

This was the best by far. Julian was a fantastic and energizing instructor. Warm, engaging, and very clear in how he presented the material. The time moved quickly, which says a lot. What stood out to me was how practical and relevant the training felt. We covered real-world situations, including opioids and especially fentanyl, which is critical knowledge today. I have been going to CPR Seattle for a number of years and highly recommend them. Grateful for a strong refresher and training that matters.

They were nice enough to ask if I could come back later and since it was less than two hours I thought I'd go eat lunch and come back. Then there's the wait, yes it was over an hour and a half waiting to be checked in and have my blood pressure checked. Where I was use to Bloodworks taking zero time to check-in and in and out in 30 minutes. It turned into more than an hour in a half. On top of taking over an hour to even see anyone (the woman ahead of me decided to leave which I wish I had done as well), I finally had someone come start the process with me. After going through the standard questions and tests, he started getting setup to draw blood. I mentioned that I'm not great with needles and to please go with one of the big veins so he didn't spend too long fishing around, which he brushed off. He proceeded to fish around in one arm for several minutes which was an extremely unpleasant experience, eventually deciding that he needed to try the other arm instead. Another 10 minutes later, we started on the other arm which ended with the exact same result, followed by the declaration that he's only allowed to try twice in a day per patient, and that I needed to reschedule to come back tomorrow. Now I'm leaving with bandages on both arms and a new lifetime phobia unlocked. Stay away from this location!
