Sailing Seattle - Cheers to BYOB

This is a great way to experience a Seattle sunset. My friends and I decided to do a sunset sail…read moreand was impressed with the overall experience. This sailing was 2 hours long and the stays within Elliott Bay. Sailing Seattle has a fleet of 3 yachts. We were on a their largest vessel, S/V Obsession. This ocean racing yacht was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and was built for training US America's Cup teams. This yacht can accommodate up to 48 passengers and has a total length of 70ft. We boarded from Pier 56 and settled in for the 2 hour narrated journey. Boarding was seamless. The yacht has some non-slip surfaces and grab handles to help with balance and traction. Seats are first come first serve. After a brief safety demonstration on life vests, we set off on our sunset sail. This experience was further enhanced by their BYOB rule. We were allowed to bring our own snacks, wine, and beer. Our sailing path weaved in and out of ferry lanes and we completed some sharp turns, really showcasing the agility of the yacht. We pulled in after sunset providing everyone a beautiful nighttime view of downtown Seattle and waterfront. Service was fantastic. The crew was friendly and efficient. My biggest recommendation when doing the sunset cruise is to layer up (sweater/jacket) or even bring a nice blanket.

Very friendly crew. Captain Phil willingly shared information about himself and the sailboat…read more We got to see a few dolphins along the way. My only regret was not taking drinks with us. I totally missed reading this when we booked this cruise.

The ship promptly left dock at designated time. The top deck had open view. The second level had enclosed area with glass window views. Also both ends were open to guests as well. From start to end, the staff member did an amazing job of narrating many aspects of the views from the deck. A lot of it was about the downtown Seattle buildings, Space Needle, buildings and parks by the shore, the sea ports and many other cool facts along the way. I throughly enjoyed the hour long tour. The weather was also fantastic to take stunning pictures of the downtown, the mountains and the port. They also had a bar in second level where they served alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, pop corn and some small snacks. Prices were decent for it being a tourist activity. We liked both popcorn and the strawberry lemonade.

Fun, family friendly experience!…read more Overall enjoyed the Argosy Cruise. They had a full bar on board and we were able to view the entire city. Only downfall is that is it VERY VERY cold. Be prepared to shiver unless you stay inside the whole time (limited seating). The ship was also a bit outdated. We went when the sun was out and it was supposed to be mid 70's (with layered jackets, beanies and gloves, we were still frozen). The crew was very friendly and informative. The route really gave you full view of the city.

The experience was worth every penny and then some. The luxury, quality, and attention to detail is unmatched. Mark, the owner, was so attentive and a pleasure to work with. He took care of all the details and answered all my questions. The boat was beautiful and spacious for the two of us. We enjoyed the views and conversation with the crew immensely. My husband is a huge Sleepless in Seattle fan and the highlight of the evening was passing the floating house. The food was amazing. Everything was farm to fork fresh and prepared by a chef onboard. I highly recommend the crab cakes and homemade bourbon ice-cream. The pace of the evening was lovely, it didn't feel rushed or lagging. You could tell Mark worked hard to make sure that our experience from the moment we stepped aboard was seamless. He thought of everything, even providing a cozy blanket when the wind became a little chilly towards the end of the night. I cannot recommend Enchantress Cruises enough! Thank you for a lovely and memorable evening!

AND they were running a special!! Our captain (Captain Madeline) was PHENOMENAL!!!! I had spoke with her the day before we booked and even though she was giving me bad news, she was very nice about it. :) We met with her around 11 in the morning and we (I) should've read the email a little better. You can have drinks (DRANKS) on the yacht BUT the Captain pours them and already has them there. You can bring your own (we brought champagne) but if you're running behind (like we were) you don't need to stop, there's a nicely stocked bar on the yacht AND Madeline is licensed. She was super knowledgeable and pointed out all types of fun facts! What was even cooler is I'm in real estate so she talked to me about all the lake houses and the price points of them and such, even down to the square footage, lol! It was great! If you're in the Seattle area and want a nice relaxing yacht ride you should definitely book with Canderé, and most specifically Captain Madeline
