I was already leaning towards Undersky and I asked a few friends to check out Undersky Locksmith and they advised me to go with Undersky. So I set up a 1pm appointment with Roman who is the owner of Undersky Locksmith. What I liked about Roman is that he gave me two numbers to contact him. Today January 3 Roman called me and asked if he could come earlier than planned and I said yes. Once he got to my place I noticed that he has positive energy and he was down to earth and very polite. As he began working on replacing my apartment door lock I could see that he was a very skillful and professional locksmith. Then we proceeded to the lobby of my building and to where the mailbox is located and he replaced the lock there and did a superb job. Overall I am very happy and pleased that I choose Undersky Locksmith because Roman is an excellent locksmith with great skills. My door knob and lock had fallen apart. The cylinder came out when I tried to remove the key. Pins and springs came out along with it. I was able to get it to function, but that was only a temporary fix. Over the weekend, it finally stopped working. I got some estimates from some other locksmiths, including my building's superintendent. Undersky is near my home, and Roman, the owner, volunteered to come over for a free estimate at 8 PM last night. He quickly surveyed the damage, gave me a price that beat all of his competition (including my super), and he replaced all of the hardware necessary. When he was done 15-20 minutes later, he wrote out an invoice, and I paid him with my debit card (he has one of those fancy card readers for his phone). The key got stuck inside the lock this morning. I tried to ask the super to solve the problem, but he said that we need to call the locksmith. The lock guy came twenty five minutes after my call. After inspecting the lock, the locksmith said that the installation of the lock was incorrect (of course it installed super) and the cylinder with the keys was jammed in the lock. With the help of pliers, he managed to unscrew the cylinder and open the lock. After he proposed to install a new lock with a guarantee or reinstall the existing one but without. Since the different was not significant, I agreed to install a new lock. The guy took off the old one and installed his lock in less than 15 minutes, asked me to check everything suits me, and sign a receipt about he work done. Fast, clean and professional. read more

Today we were trying to replace our tenant's loose doorknob and ended up locking ourselves out of the apt when the locks wouldn't work properly. I can't praise Undersky locksmith enough. I was unfortunate enough to lock myself out of an apartment twice in the past few months. My first experience with another locksmith was not so great. however the second time I called Undersky locksmith and had an AMAZING experience. I have been to Brooklyn over the weekend. When I was about to leave back to Jersey my car key didn't work. It's not a battery car key, it's a regular one. Roman was very quick to respond with a quote. He was also able to come very quickly as we needed a locksmith ASAP. Our lock on our door was broken and not able to lock from the outside. I want to first say that I've never left a single Yelp review in my life, but felt compelled to do so here. I can't recommend Roman enough if you need a locksmith for any purpose. I didn't exactly have an emergency like getting locked out, but needed some locks changed in somewhat of a hurry. It's hard to find an honest locksmith in NY so when my door lock broke and needed replacement, I was worried that I'll end up paying double. I found this guy on Yelp and called to ask about prices.
