I was locked out of my apartment yesterday and Roman helped me gain access by coaching me how to open the lock over the phone. He didn't charge for this help. I then had him install a new lock and he was able to do it on short notice. Nice, efficient, and professional. -Eric (Ditmas Park) read more

Very professional. Great communication, showed up right on time, explained process and did exactly that. Add good value, and what more could you ask for? read more

Excellent experience! Over Labor Day weekend, I got my key stuck in my Kryptonite bike lock. I called Sunday afternoon, they showed up on time Monday morning with the right tools to cut the lock. I was impressed at how detail oriented and careful rhetoric were, leaving the chain undamaged, and the bike totally unharmed. They were in and out in less than 10 minutes, and I very much appreciate they wore a mask considering Covid. The rate was totally fair and reasonable too. I highly recommend this business and wish them lots of success. read more

Roman did an amazing job and was at my home, masked and gloved, within 15 minutes of my call. He replaced a deadbolt and gave great advice on the smart lock I was about to install. He even fixed the strike plate for my doorknob so the door would close more securely at no additional charge. His rates are very reasonable and he's a great guy to deal with. Can't recommend him highly enough! read more

Roman is the kind of person you wish everyone else could be like when it comes to doing a job thats fast, professional, effective and accurate. Did I also mention he's a super nice guy? Our building was repeatedly being broken into, and every time without fail, Roman came to the rescue to help beef up our security. I would highly recommend him. I really wish more people worked like him. Call him. You won't regret it. There's a reason he's got 5 stars from everyone. read more

I've called on Roman @ Undersky twice now and give him my highest recommendation: excellent availability and communication, expert work, professional demeanor, and a very fair price. He is my go-to locksmith -- he should be yours as well! read more

Fast, nice, and professional. Great communication. Highly recommend.

No drama, fast, reliable, great pricing, trustworthy, friendly, and efficient! You need a locksmith? Roman's your guy! We have had issues with our front building door for a year and kept getting quoted astronomical prices by different locksmiths. Finally, someone broke in, and worse, stole items in our vestibule, including our stroller that accidentally had a set of keys inside! I found Roman on Yelp and called him. He came so quickly, gave really good and fair pricing, changed our apartment door locks immediately in case someone had the key and added a deadbolt. The next morning he came back and fixed the downstairs building lock and secured the door. He was super honest and fair about pricing and did not fluff the prices or tell me I needed repairs that weren't necessary (I can compare this to the other locksmiths; Roman's prices were much better). We were so happy that we recommended Roman to both buildings on either side and he also secured their doors for reasonable price, and on that same day. So glad we found him. read more

Twice now I've been saved within the fastest time possible. Anytime I ever called being stranded, locked out of my house he was quick to answer me and always shows up as soon as he can. I highly highly recommend if you're ever in a jam !!!!! read more

I don't think I can leave a more positive review for any other business. I'm so glad to have met Roman. He's knowledgeable, genuine, and is hardworking and fast. Dependable too! I have relied on him for several locksmith projects in our building over the past 2-3 years from a building front lock to individual apartment locks. He's fair and honest about his solutions and options, and is overall a pleasant and nice guy. I highly recommend you call Roman for any locksmith needs. read more

I lost my keys yesterday and couldn't get into my apartment, so I tried the "request a quote" feature on Yelp and filled out the info stating where I lived and what my problem was. Almost immediately, Roman messaged me back and quoted me a reasonable price to open my lock. After I texted him back to hire him, he gave me an ETA and showed up exactly when he said he would. He opened my lock very skillfully without damaging it, and I was happy I didn't have to pay for a new lock. He also stuck to the quote he had given me, and I was able to get back into my apartment very quickly. Roman was honest, reliable and very professional. I highly recommend this locksmith! read more

Well today i was in a bind and called the first locksmith to come help me with my car. IDK if stupid was written all over my face, but the man on the phone quoted me $85 to gain entry into my car after locking the keys in the car accidentally. Well lo and behold when this guy showed up idk if he saw the desperation on my face or what but the price skyrocketed to a whopping $250. Having to pick up my sick kid from school asap i begrudgingly paid the hefty price knowing full well that if id just broken the car window and went to have said window replaced i would've been charged way less... my car was broken into just last week and i was charged $150 for a replacement back passenger window.... but anyway. When I asked why it would cost sooo much more than the estimate to gain entry into my car... he said " cause its an SUV". So ladies... beware. Some people will take advantage of you any chance they get. HOW DO I KNOW I TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF YOU ASK? Well i did call around after the fact and got quotes that ranged from the initial $85 to $150... but nothing near the grand cost of $250 that i was charged today. Other than this review.. I will definitely pray for you. Happy holidays. read more

We were locked out of one of our bedroom doors because of a faulty knob so we contacted a few locksmiths for quotes. Got to my apartment within 30 minutes and took maybe 2 minutes to unlock my door. Speedy and professional! Highly recommend

Roman came right away to replace my lock, which was destroyed by a burglar - he installed 3 new locks for me for a very reasonable price, and all of them worked perfectly and look perfect. He also fixed a sloppy job that a previous locksmith did. He came with every part needed and every tool charged - he didn't even need to use an electrical outlet. Really prepared, professional, and pleasant. This might be the first time I've been 100% satisfied with a locksmith. Thanks! read more

Excellent! Got my combination lock installed quick and prompt. Everything took 1 hour from beginning to start. Highly recommended Roman for any locksmith job read more

Undersky Locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

I do not write reviews but Roman absolutely deserves one. I was looking to get my locks changed and reached out to four locksmiths to get a quote. Of the four, he was the lowest as well as the most responsive. I asked for quotes on four possible options (rekeying, replacing, etc...) and he gave me all the pricing and patiently answered all my questions, which I had many. I wasn't in an emergency situation and could have waited a few days to have my locks changed but he ended up coming that afternoon and was actually early! He was super professional and efficient and gave advice and professional opinion on my safety situation. He never tried to upsell me (I asked him if there was anything else he could recommend that I should get done) and just seemed like a really honest, good person. I have already recommended him to a few friends as his work and demeanor really does warrant all the five star reviews! THANK YOU! P.s. he also came with a mask on and kept relevant distance which I so appreciated! read more

Let me set the scene: It was about 345pm yesterday and I start browsing Yelp for a locksmith to call to install a standard wifi deadbolt. I came across Undersky pretty quickly based on the rating and the glowing write-ups. At 4pm I called to see if they service my area in NYC and to make an appointment. Roman answered immediately and said "of course", I can be there within the hour (I had no intention of doing it that fast and I had thought I was calling to schedule an appointment next week). By 530pm my deadbolt was installed (not cheap but very fair and transparent price which I happily paid for the outstanding service). 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time I began to even consider the idea of accomplishing this task at some point in the next week, it was already done. Bottom line, Roman should be your guy. Put the phone number in your contact list. When you need a locksmith, this is the one. I rarely submit online reviews. When I do, it is because something unusual occurred. Undersky does dynamite work and NYC should know about it. read more

The owner, is awesome. We had an issue with our lock and called in to get a locksmith to come by. The locksmith guy, was very friendly, and gave us an accurate estimation of the time would be able to drop by as well as a cost estimation. He was at our place within 35 minutes and was able to get us in the door within 15 minutes. He was super friendly and professional. We also needed everything replaced, he was on top of it. Seriously, I've worked with multiple locksmiths in this city and I am blown away at how great the customer service. read more

I called Roman this morning, as I felt with the additional crime in NYC we would appreciate an upgrade on our door security. He installed a swing bar, and upgraded my other door lock, told us our Medico was more than adequate, and even oiled our doorknob and made it tighter. Instead of trying to sell us additional locks, he told us our locks were fine and provided good security. Loved the transparent pricing; gave us an excellent price before beginning his work. No fee for the visit, and he arrived 15 minutes after my initial phone call. Outstanding, highly recommend without reservation!! read more

Roman came the same day I called him and installed a new cylinder for me. He was sweet, fast, and reasonably priced. All these 5-star reviews on Yelp were accurate. He's terrific. read more

Roman has installed 2 locks at our apartment. The first one was a challenging custom doorknob in a door with a poorly drilled hole. He took the time and patience to do the job right. The second was for a porch door, quickly and efficiently switching out the lock. He was friendly, prompt, and charged a fair, up-front price. I will use Roman for any locksmith needs I have in the future. read more

I want to say thank you to this company for helping me get into my apartment after midnight. On the way home from work, I lost my only keys somewhere in the subway. Before that, I had a bad experience with locksmiths, but not this time. This company is local and works for a long-term reputation. Roman arrived within 20 minutes and neatly opened the door and changed the cylinder on the lock. After 5-7 minutes I kept two copies of the new keys from my apartment. The work was done so quietly and quickly that I'm sure that did not cause any inconvenience to my neighbors. I saved their number for the future and I recommend everyone do it as well. read more

Amazing experience, highly recommend. Reached out via yelp and he responded very quickly, came by 10 minutes later (at 9pm) and brought everything with him. Changed the lock cylinder to a high security one in about 15 minutes. Also reinforced the housing in the door. Would use again and honestly one of the best service experiences I've had.
