Excellent experience! Over Labor Day weekend, I got my key stuck in my Kryptonite bike lock. I called Sunday afternoon, they showed up on time Monday morning with the right tools to cut the lock. I was impressed at how detail oriented and careful rhetoric were, leaving the chain undamaged, and the bike totally unharmed. Well today i was in a bind and called the first locksmith to come help me with my car. IDK if stupid was written all over my face, but the man on the phone quoted me $85 to gain entry into my car after locking the keys in the car accidentally. Well lo and behold when this guy showed up idk if he saw the desperation on my face or what but the price skyrocketed to a whopping $250. Having to pick up my sick kid from school asap i begrudgingly paid the hefty price knowing full well that if id just broken the car window and went to have said window replaced i would've been charged way less... my car was broken into just last week and i was charged $150 for a replacement back passenger window.... but anyway. When I asked why it would cost sooo much more than the estimate to gain entry into my car... he said " cause its an SUV". So ladies... beware. Some people will take advantage of you any chance they get. HOW DO I KNOW I TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF YOU ASK? Well i did call around after the fact and got quotes that ranged from the initial $85 to $150... but nothing near the grand cost of $250 that i was charged today. Other than this review.. I asked for quotes on four possible options (rekeying, replacing, etc...) and he gave me all the pricing and patiently answered all my questions, which I had many. I wasn't in an emergency situation and could have waited a few days to have my locks changed but he ended up coming that afternoon and was actually early! Let me set the scene: It was about 345pm yesterday and I start browsing Yelp for a locksmith to call to install a standard wifi deadbolt. I came across Undersky pretty quickly based on the rating and the glowing write-ups. At 4pm I called to see if they service my area in NYC and to make an appointment. Roman answered immediately and said "of course", I can be there within the hour (I had no intention of doing it that fast and I had thought I was calling to schedule an appointment next week). By 530pm my deadbolt was installed (not cheap but very fair and transparent price which I happily paid for the outstanding service). 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time I began to even consider the idea of accomplishing this task at some point in the next week, it was already done.
